Vampiric Hierarchy

Age has almost nothing to do with a the vampiric hierarchy. Most of the vampires that are in command have an ability of some sort, which are rare among any race, but not unheard of, as vampires have taken to protecting those with powers. While the inner hierarchy is a bit sketchy to anyone outside it, it's clear that there are vampire lackies, assassins, servants, counselors, and royalty.

Usually, the individual clans that make up a vampiric community consist of 5-12 vampires that have some blood tie. For example, one vampire can turn two or three vampires, and those are usually considered children to the original vampire. If the vampire who turned them feels like one of them is more of a lover than offspring, they'd get moved up in status. Any vampires that have been turned and don't have a power become servants rather than relatives. Servants can become assassins, counselors, or even start their own lesser family, but the latter is rarely an occurrence as vampires are naturally territorial.

Bloodlines can usually be traced back to the first vampire, but rarely do they care enough to combine their lineage that far. The title of cousin for vampires is usually a safe bet.

Abilities

Extremely Commonmost turned vampires gain this ability upon turning, meaning it's commonly mistaken for becoming a vampire; not all vampires gain this ability, but rarely do they not have it.
Commonover half of turned vampires have this ability, but less than half don't.
*Rareless than 10% of turned vampires have some form of this ability.
*Extremely Rareso few vampires have actually had this ability that it's simply become legend.
*In order to create a character with one of these abilities, you'll need to run it by me first. A turned vampire has some form of their ability already before being turned in any rare and extremely rare cases. (Ex.: a human psychic would obtain clairvoyance abilities as a vampire, if he/she can be turned.)

A vampire can have one or more of these abilities:
Telepathic connections(Rare)This can consist of putting your thoughts into someone's head, reading other people's thoughts, or both.
Telekinesis(Rare)This only consists in a physical nature.
Clairvoyance(Extremely Rare)This can consist of seeing decisions, seeing possible futures, seeing past history, finding information by searching people's lives, or providing the information necessary to cause something to happen.
Physical Enhancement(Extremely Common)This can consist of heightened strength, heightened senses, heightened memory control, heightened flexibility, and/or natural physical beauty enhancement.

What is a vampire?
What is not a vampire?
A healthy vampire may appear to 'heal' his/her body right before your eyes.
Garlic does nothing but irritate the senses.
UV rays can cause combustion on the skin of any vampire; it accelerates the particles which makes up the creature. In direct UV light, a vampire has mere seconds before literal combustion.
Crosses, or any other religious symbol, are decorative, but unnecessary.
Vampires are dead bodies. Drinking or injecting blood, human or animal, is the only way to keep them from drying out and withering away until wind blows away the dust.
Piercing the heart is a great way to make them angry.
Human pets are acceptable, but to release one would be to turn them or kill them.
Silver jewelry is often a great accessory to match their pale skin.
Werewolves must be killed on sight, by vampiric law.
Churches offer nothing more than mental sanctuary.
Children vampires are abominations, but not unheard of.
Humans do not know vampires really exist; humans who believe they do cannot find enough proof to back the idea up.
