The border forts, are the only place where near constant skirmishing occurs, and is the most common place for the two sides to clash. There are three main forts; the northern, central, and southern, each with a town behind it, and each key to a breakthrough in it's prespective reagion
Earoluim walked through the Northern fort, towards the center of this little populated settlement. His heavy amor made no sound as he moved about the walkways and battlements, his skirt and cloak gently picking up at the wind, he large bushy tail swaying out behind him as his eyes darted out from under a heavy hodd and through his thick long hair.
Gurthar approached the edge of the Dark Army lines, seeing in the distance the Fortress that they had been denied only days earlyier. Where will you try to get down to the sea Lomien, i promise you this time you won't get away even as he thought this he was unsure, as he somehow got the sinking feeling that he had seen Lomien only at the start of what he could do.
Earoluim reached the center of the settlement, the spot equal between all three forts. He looked around at the people and beings that lurked, or walked about. He stood there for a long moment, lifting his head back slightly as his eyes raised themselves up into the heavens above. He let a breeze flow thorugh him, blowing up more of his skirt and his chest tunics.
For all her armor, Fara Shiva's rapid movements were invisible to the senses. Were it not for the scarlet horsehair that streamed back from her helmet, she would have been untrackable when she moved; when she stood still, even the red streak hardly helped in finding her. She followed Gurthar silently, waiting for his command.
Lomien and Ninquelote rode into the Northern Fort, seeing Earoluim, she turned Ebony toward him. "Hail, Earoluim. What news?" She called stopping near him. She was a beautiful picture, her white skin and silver hair in stark contrast with her black dress and mount.
Lomien remained mounted, casting off his bagadge in a pile He's here, where are you Gurthar he thought, he could sense the Crusnik was probably in the line of trees in the distance.
Gurthar having rode around the tree line was now clost to the battered down gates of the settlement. Turning to Fara he said calously "This looks to easy kill only those who resist and do not pursue those running away" the command was directed at Fara as well as the now fifty Minotuars that had joins Gurthar, Fara and the infantry unit.
Earoluim looked to the Lady to had hailed him, taking his eyes away from the heavens but not out from under his hood. "Their is but a fould and heavy musk about the air, settling in a mass moving against the wind and hills itself, MiLady." He said with a quiet but throaty voice, he reached up and pulled back his hood letting loose his hair from its confines. "The Earth thrums with a beat not its own, and louder doth it get in the moment forth." He added as he drew his sword "Rages of Sorrow' from his back and fastened it to the skirt at his hip.
"I also have sensed the presence of spirits with ill intentions." Ninquelote said. She paused a moment and closed her eyes, reaching out with her mind serching the spirit relm for those whose presence she had sensed upon their aproach. She opened her eyes, "They draw closer." She said, reaching into her saddlebag for her gauntlets as her eyes faded from white back to blue.
Gurthar simply called out "Charge" no shout, just a plain voiced command as he and his personal guard rode towards the gate, though it was nearly a thousand yards to it, Gurthar whached as the Minotuars kept pace. Gurthar drew his sword, the golden tassles of his helmet flying in the wind, the flag from the banner bearer now waving like a proud herald.
Lomien rode up to the settlement gate. Seeing the cloud rise up in front in the distance he ordered his men to form up, as he began shouting orders to the troops to make ready to meet the attack This is alittle more bold than what i expected he thought as pike men formed their hedge to slow the attack. Lomien could now see that there where indeed Minotuars, as well as a small cavalry detachment and nearly two hundred infantry. Lomien was not worried about the infantry, he had at least equel to their numbers, what concerned him where the Minotuars, calvary, and now as he saw her Fara This is gonna be a nasty mess, wonder when that detachment will get here that i sent out he thought, realizing that he now had complete control of the Dark Army's attack They should be here soon to he said looking eastward to the forest road where he had passed them nought but an hour ago.
Earoluim looked out the west gate, smiling when he saw the mintuars. He looked over at the rest of the troops that seemed to be rallying to the cry heard by that of Lomien, he plucked a small rod from under the folds of his skirt, one end had the blade of an axe, sharp, broad and heavy. He gave it a quick jerk and the rod slid out and from a pole arm. He took his place along the column of pike men and began to shout out fromation to them, best for defending the gates.
Fara Shiva closed the distance between her and the fort at an alarming rate. She was much faster than the minotaurs or even the cavalry, and in moments she was at their gates. She launched herself onto their walls and ran up them, reaching their pinnacle where the armor that covered every inch of her was justified as she launched herself over the battlements. She knew full well that this wasn't a seige, but a raid; she needn't conquer the town as long as she crippled it. She reached out two legs and pulled herself around in midair to land on the other side of the wall, stabbing the two pike men she had grazed on her way over in the backs with her bladed front legs. Pulling her blades from their bodies, she let out a high pitched, tritoned shriek, skittering down the wall to gain her bearings.
Ear continued shouting orders at the troops, watching the red hair assailant launch herself over the battlement wall. He issued a final command before running back inside the gates, knowing the damage that could be done in a raid as it seemed in their numbers t'was their plan. He stopped away from the wall, but under the spot where the shrieking crimson fell to, he himself let out a loud roar in her return, throwing his head back as his fangs bared out .
Ninquelote pulled her gauntlets on and drew her sword. Taking her place beside Lomien, she reached out with her mind, looking for a spirit willing to help.
"Great, not you to" Lomien growled focusing on Shiva, letting forth a burst of lightning from his hand, to say the least he was not looking forward to that encounter. Drawing Gurthang he lept aside as a Minotuar lunged at him running the beast through the head as it crashed to the ground at his feat now turning to face Gurthar, whom he knew could not be far behind.
Gurthar was surprised at the pike the well formed pike line, flying forward as his mount was run through with a pike. Landing in the midst of five Minotuars he whached Lomien, knowing now he had once again underestimated him Where did he learn to do that?! he wondered, grimacing at the task ahead.
Earoluim watched and waited as the red head came down towards the ground, he suddenly angled himself and swung around with his pole arm in an attempt top throw her back over the wall. He grunted as he spun around, his hair and skirt tossing about wildly. A calm and almost expressionless look across his face, save his eyes, which were burning with life and substance.
Nin vaulted from her horse as one of the Minotaurs swung at her unprotected leg, and urged Ebony toward the fort stables with her mind as she turned to face the creature. With near effortless grace, she ducked under the Minotaur's weapon, thrusting her left hand, and bladed gauntlet, out behind her as she came up behind him. She felt the affixed blade bite flesh as the beast let out a bellow, and spun about to sever his head.
Seeing the crusnik land in midst of the Minotuars, Lomien yelled a challenge felling three of the brutes with a cresent blast that decapitated the unwary beasts. now Crusnik is time to end this he thought, draw gurthang, the sword catching fire as he calmly walked tomeet Gurthar.
Hearing Lomien's challenge, Ninquelote turned to see who her husband had called out to. She felled two more Minotuars as she watched Lomien heading calmly toward a Crusnic. In her mind's eye she saw the distorted shape of a Crusnic strike out at Lomien, then the clouded wave of memory was gone, and she knew that this must be Gurthar.
Gurthar roared in return, bringing his own sword to heel. He whached as Lomien cut throw the troopers like so much chafe, being sure to keep an eye on where Gurthang swung he lept towards Lomien bring his sword up sideways intending to cut him in two.
Lomien caulously eyed his opponent, blocking the double edged sword with Gurthang, whilst throwing a punch with his taloned guantlet to Gurthars side, feeling the sickening impact as the blades glanced sideways into the Crusniks shoulder. A wicked smile crossed his face, before he channeled a burst of fire through the blades.
A scream of pain shot from Gurthar's mouth, as he lept back, the smell of burnt flesh ringing strong. Forming numerous blades of ice, letting the dozens of blades fly at Lomien, the four holes in his shoulder still bled.
ack water element! Lomien thought, burning all those aimed at his head, a few however found their mark on his breast plate, and knee armour. Growling as pain shot through his side, one of the longer blades had logded itself in him. Lashing out psychicly, seeking to crush the Crusniks mind "Crusnik you have troubled me far to...." he words where cut short as a Minotuar swung its ax into his stomach, his armour held but Lomien was thrown back summersaulting in mid air before slaming against a wall, the custodes fought to get to their masters side. Lomien, snarling from the pain sent forth a huge fiery blast that all but consumned everything in its' path.

Gurthars' triumph turned to horror as he whached his men be burnt to a crisp, the four Minotuars had raised their sheilds protecting themselves. Gurthars entire right side was caught in the blast. Collapsing from his wounds he was born up on a spare mount. He surveyed his surroundings, the Alliance and his forces where at a stalemate at the moment, each side blasting each other with weapon and element, though he knew he could not keep this up for long I need to rally the rest of my men he thought, though somthing told him to hold off for the time being.

Lomien's eyes now glowed white, gurthang no longer shown with fire, the blades ability had been activated, the screams of those souls trapped within it could now be heard adaubly. Seeing the carnage he had wrought in his attempt to kill the Crusnik he rallied his Elite guard to him, driving a wedge through the remaining infantry though somehow they managed to fell two of the elite Custodes. Eyeing the twenty strong group of Minotuars fighting to protect a now very badly marred Crusnik, he decided that he would strike there. His right side was now the crimson color of dried blood.

Gurthar yanked up a Vampire, gorging himself in it's blood. He had regained his strengh and his arm was healed now. Seeing Lomien, Gurthar let out a below of rage thrusting his sword into Lomien face.

Holding up his hand, feeling the blade pass between his middle and index finger and stopping just before his face, Lomien starred into the eyes of his oponent. "Crusnik, you have given me enough trouble" he said emotionalessly letting a burst of lightning channel through the blade and into the Crusnik.

Crying out in pain, gurthar was caught in the arc, screaming and writhing as he felt his life force drain. The Minotuars came charging , bellowing their war cries.

With a final cry of rage, Lomien released Gurthar and retreated as his men rallied to him, his hand now bleeding rather fiercly defeated again, and yet you still live.....until we meet again Crusnik he thought bitterly whaching the rest of the dark Army rally around their fallen leader.

Ninquelote pushed her way to her husband's side, bleeding from a couple of minor wounds. "Are you alright Lomien?" She asked concerned, her gaze wandered to where the Dark Army was gathering around Gurthar, "Is it finished?"

"No it is not over" he said bitterly as Gurthar retreated to the back of the line "I'm...rr, fine" he grunted yanking the ice shaft from his side whaching it dissolve. Looking out he could see the dark army start to buckle, turning to the east he could see the renforcements coming, at least three hundred strong now to crush them, my brother will not be happy with his defeat he though smuggly. The broder fort spanned two sides of the river with a large bridge in the middle, the side that they now where on was the settlement side facing Dark Army territory.

Gurthar rallied the troops seeing that the lines on both sides had been broken at multiple points, and in some places fighting in the streets. His badly marred hand, side and face now the color of a scab. Gurthar could not fight any more but he was at least safe now from Lomiens' attack.

Fara Shiva threw herself back on her hind legs, the pike's blade narrowly missing her armored belly. She leapt forward, jumping off the wall and landing a dozen feet away from Ear. With a lunge, she closed the gap and was suddenly upon him, swiping at him with her long, curved blades.

Earoluim suddenly leaped forward as well, leting the blades clang off of one of his pauldrons as he thrust the head of his pole arm at her head, stopping his momentum to much further that of his weapon.

Fara Shiva jerked her head to the side and let the blade pass inches away from her helmeted ear. She continued her lunge, swatting the pole arm to the side with one blade and thrusting the other at his chest.

Ear bent over backwards as much as his armor would allow him, reaching over her head with the pole arm he quickly turned it down wards, trailing the hook along her on of her many legs. He then suddenly fell backwards as the point of the blade came into contact with the thick of his chest plate, hooking her in the attempts to throw her.

Fara Shiva jerked forward, one leg caught by Earoluim's hook, but regained her balance and jumped over him instead. Realizing she was wasting her time trying to bring him down, and seeing that Gurthar had retreated and that what time she had left was limited. With a few bounds she was more than thirty feet away, engaging in combat with the infantry and slaying several of them at the ends of the blades on her legs.

Earoluim turned and quickly chased after the Drider, he flicked his rist and the shaft of the pole arm quickly retracted into itself, he quickly tucked it under his skirt and drew his sword from his hip. As he came up her he flailed his sword about wildly to catch her attention as well as to cause her a little bodily harm.

Fara Shiva jumped out of the way of Earoluim's flailing sword, hissing sharply. She leapt backward over the head of a soldier, who ducked out of reflex, and shoved him forward into the broad swing of Ear's deadly blade.

Earoluim danced the blade of his sword around the soldier with ease as he was thrown in its path, moving closer to the drider and striker faster at her. Cutting and slashing at her legs and her midsection. Every bit of his moments fluid and graceful, shadowing against the grain of her retreat.

Fara Shiva felt herself being backed into a corner, and snarled. She evaded his attacks with ease, but he was impeding her progress, and that was frustrating. As the huge sword swung down, she leapt forward, brandishing her own blades, but they proved only a feint as she used his sword as a footstool up and over his head like lightning. Something sticky shot into the seams of his armor at his shoulders and she brought the flat of her blade across his crown violently as she passed and landed several feet away.

Earoluim stumbled back a few steps as the flat of a blade clashed against his brow, slightly detouring him for a moments effort. Looking up he saw her in the air above him, turning slightly he attempted in positioning himself under her. Grimacing as the smell of the hot and sticky ichor began to fill his nose.

His presence beneath Shiva's landing complicated things. He wasn't quite under her, but it was enough to foil the landing and end her if she didn't move correctly. Her back legs came crashing down on his shoulders. Startled, her abdomen shot out webbing as if to attach to whatever she was falling off of, but it landed instead on Ear's face. As her front came down, she kicked off of his shoulders like a bucking mule, taking her several yards before she regained her footing and took off like a shot, seeing less complicated men who needed her blades in their guts.

As she came down nearly on top of him, Earoluim grunted as he attempted to throw her with his back and legs, which failed poorly when webbing smacked him in the face. As she bounded of he sliced his sword in an arc at several of her legs trying to at least cut a few of them off, before ripping the webing off of his face.

His sword hit her legs, to be certain, but in the middle of their armor, throwing them out of the pathway of the arc of his blade and bouncing with a fierce sting, but no real damage to speak of. It didn't bother her landing enough to cause her to stumble, and she found herself in a more favorable situation, surrounded by pikemen. In the time it took for Earoluim to free his face, she had blood on all ten blades, the dead and heavily injured falling to the ground. She wasted no time in watching them hit, and made for the bunkers.

Earoluim simply tossed the webbing to the ground and watched her head off. The emotionless look he had started with back over his face like a cowl as the life in his eyes began to die. He placed his sword back onto his hip and stood there watching the Drider scurring off into the bunker, not bothering after her at all. He turned then slowly and headed back to the rest of the troops, Lomien and Ninquelote.

Realizing that she was no longer being followed, Fara Shiva changed course and took back her stealthy approach. Hiding in the shadows and clinging to walls, she ran for the Training grounds and stables.

Ninquelote turned to see the struggle between Earoluim and Fara. "Love," She said, laying her hand on Lomien's arm and pointing in alarm at Fara, who was now heading for the bunker.

Whaching Fara disapear he turned to survey the battle field which by now was starting to swing descisivly to the Alliances' favor "I don't think we'll be troubled by her again" he said softly to her Just don't poison any of my horses you he said telepathecly to Fara.

Lomien, running along the base of the wall, determined to end Gurthar, his swords sheathed for better speed. A huge Minotuar cheiftain barraled out from behind a stack of crates. Enraged at the sight of him, the brute swung its ax at Lomien stomach. Leaping to the side alittle late, Lomien felt the blade catch his side sending him spining once again into the wall. Dazed Lomien staggered backwards blood trickling from the side of his head. Lomien looked his opponent over with slight alarm, the beast stood almost eight feet tall and was clad in thick steel armour, a huge sheild in one hand, and a nasty looking battle ax in the other, it's steel red eyes and sharpened teeth bared as it roared a challenge to Lomien once again.

Ninquelote cried out as she saw her husband knocked to the side by the huge Minotuar. She began running toward him, willing desperately for him to recover before the beast could deal another blow.

Lomien, not sure what to do unleashed a torrent of fire, only to whach in dismay as the beast easily blocked it with it's sheild. The Minotuar charged swinging its' ax again at his side, this time though Lomien was waiting for him, as he lept aside brining his own sword crashing down onto the beasts neck guard. Whaching in dismay as the blade glanced into the side of the beasts sheild arm. Leaping clear of the beast, Lomien eyed the sword caught in it's armour, he was tempted to draw Gurthang but did not want to risk the same thing happening to the ancient blade.

Nin struggled toward Lomien, fighting her way through Dark Army soldiers, and growing ever more alarmed when she saw him loose his weapon.

Lomien unleashed a lighning bolt at the beast's sheild, only to grimace as it made only a tiny hole, the smell of burnt flesh, and the sound of a further enraged beast filled his senses. Four talons made of lightning spange from Lomien's hand as he charged the beast dodging another one of its swings, barreling head long into the brute, punching with the taloned hand into the beasts stomach. Hearing a satisfying grunt, whaching the chieftain stagger back I may win this yet he thought, though he was begining to tire from using his abilities for so long.

The minotaur's back was turned from Ninquelote, struggling with Lomien, when she was finally close enough to help him. Quickly, before the beast realized she was upon him she thrust her thin sword deep into the joint below his arm.

Growling in rage, the brute sank it's teeth into her shoulder throwing her aside like a rag doll. Lomien finally finding his blade on the brute, ripped it out of its armour, swinging it in a wide arc to lop its' sheild arm off.

Earoluim in hearing the battle cries of Lomien and Nin, began to run towads the two as they battled a huge and ferocious Minotaur. As he came upon them he pulled out his pole arm 'Breathe of the Luime', once more, quickly extending the shaft and rushing into the fray as both Lomien and Nin were in grave danger. Ear let out a deep throated roar, as if he himself were some sort of savage beast, though beast he was, challenging the Minotaur to himself in single combat.

Ninquelote hit the ground hard, her vision blackening for a moment as her head hit the ground. She pushed herself up and cried out as pain seared through her shoulder.

Earoluim let out another deafening roar, challenging the hulky beast once more. The hairs on his tail stood spiked with adrenaline as he challenged the beast again, his eyes focusing on it as he swept one of his ears around, dividing the attention between the two fallen warriors.

Not aware that the warrior flung aside was Nin, hearing her pained cry Lomien eyed his foe deciding he had held back enough. Reaching into the beasts' mind he sent the Honor guard at Earlomuim sorry Ear, this one is mine he said telepathically to the Demon. His eyes glowed white, as the beast now began to writhe and yelp, blood pouring from it's eyes as it's braind was destroyed, as Lomien tore it apart psycicly, what was left was a steeming pile of unrecognizable waste. "You...alright" he said to Nin as he staggered over to her, sheathing his sword. What a mess he thought of himself and the battle, giving Nin's shoulder a worried look "I told you that you should not have come" he said to her propping her up against the wall as he looked over the wound "Nasty brute....sereph's stories about those things where true after all" he said with a sigh.

"I am alright." Nin told her husband a bit weakly, flinching as he probed the wound "It is only on the surface, though I do not know if I have the strength hold my sword."

"You should have stayed home" he grumbled yanking a tooth out of her shoulder and holding it up so she could see "this is probably what was hurting so much" he said staunching and bandageing the wound. "What should we do about the Crusnik?" he asked her casting a worried glance in the direction of the ruined gate.

Gurthar ordered a fall back, the Dark army assembled in the open road whaching the Alliance now fight for control of the bridge as they evacuated the civillians to the fortress.

Earoluim chuckled and put away his weapon, smiling he walked over to the two if them and inspected them himself. " Do wither of you need any mediate attention, or shall I carry you back to a med tent. " He asked, looking them both over once more .

"I am fine, even though i look quite to the contrary" Lomien laughed, he enjoyed the thrill of battle "Say Earoluim, i thought Minotuar cheiftains where only a myth....guess that proved false" he said with a slight smile turning to Nin "I would rather you wait in the medic tent in the Fort Nin, i won't force you though" he said softly playing with her hair, his eyes still had a faint glow in them from using the level of psychic power that he did.

Nin was about ready to protest when she she saw the worry in her husband's eyes. She was alright, however did not wish to worry him any more by remaining on the field with a useless sword arm. "Perhaps I ought to retreat to the fort." She said a bit reluctantly as she rose to her feet. "Do not let your worry about me distract you my love," she said to Lomien, "I will be fine."

Earoluim waited till she was out of ear shot as he took a knee next to Lomien, " There are many things in this place that should be Myth, M'Lord, many a terrible things. Myself included ." He said quietly as he peered off into the forrest bunker where the enemy had retreated. He reached up and Took the shield from the fallen minotaurs severed arm, looking over the craftmanship of the metal.

"I know there are Earoluim, i just wish some would stay legend" Lomien said casting a solemn look at the sheild "The Minotuars are getting smarter, the beasts are hardy enough without huge steel plates and sheilds" he said grimly.

Nin left the two warriors to discuss and reported to the medical tent within the fortress.

Ear sighed softly, " Some things should have never come into existence." He said sadly, talking about himself more than anything. He propped the shield against the wall of the fort. He looked over the troops he had shouted orders to before combating the Drider.

"All things have a purpose, and are therefore given a life. What they chose to do whith that life is what will matter most" Lomien replied surveying his troops in the field, some where wounded, many lay dead along with the many dark army soldiers killed as well.

Ear let out a hearty laugh, he turned his attention back to the Pike Men. " Your halberdiers are well trained." e compliment Lomien.

"Thank you, they certainly did a number on the Minotuars" Lomien smiled seeing the row of dead beasts where the pike men had started.

"To be honest I did not think the formation I called out for would hold, it was meant for cavalry charges. But it did certainly do a number on the large beast. " He said slowly.

"Indeed it did" he said looking up at the sunset "It's getting dark, gather the men inside the fort for the night, i get the not so pleasent feeling that we wont be getting rest anytime soon" Lomien said with a sigh.

Ear nodded and started ordering the standing men to get the wounded inside and to prepare to defend, he turned back to Lomien and offered him his hand .

Taking his hand, Lomien pulled himself up, gathering his elite custode guard to him and walking off to the fortress.

Gurthar, having gorged himself on blood, though his wounds inflicted where so deep that even his formitable healing abilities could not heal every thing. "Bring up the seige engines" he growled to his subordinates, lumbering balistas, catapults, as well as a few towers loomed out of the forest edge along with nearly a thousand Dark Army soldiers.

Rayn's small force kept to the cover of the trees as they watched Gurthar's seige weapons lumber onto the battlefield.
"Captain," her scout approached to report, "I have found an entrance. There is a little guarded gate through the poor section of the village, we should be able to kill the guards without drawing the attention of the rest of the Alliance."
"Good," Rayne said softly, "lead the way, we will tie up the horses and await darkness."

Ninquelote was waiting near the gate for Lomien and Ear when they entered the fortress. Her wound had been cleaned and wraped in a fresh bandage.

Lomien looked back as the sun set in the growing darkness, whaching the outlines of Gurthar's seige engines form up behind the mass of infantry. "This is going to be interesting, make sure to leave the back gate open, but whach guard it as well, i dont want our escape to be our downfall" Lomien said to his custode guard, twenty of whome rode to the back gate the remaining fifteen standing with him.

Nin aproached Lomien as he came in the gate, "This night bodes ill," she said her face drawn with worry, "I fear an unknown danger. The spirits are restless but I know not what disturbs them, none are willing to assist us."

"You rely to much on a realm so fickle my love" Lomien sighed softly caressing the side of her face "There are many things that wish to attack, but there is an unknown danger which is why i sent such a large body of the custodians to the back gate" he said whaching now from the wall as Gurthar's seige engines began to role into firing range.

Lomien's words quieted her fears a little, but she still felt an ominous cloud hanging over the evening. It was unusual that, of all the spirits in the world, there were none nearby who were willing to help one of the High Elves.

Hearing a cry, Lomien turned just in time to see a rock burrow itself into the wall, sending a dozen soldiers fall or get hit "So the battle begins" he said darkly, he had his battle armour brought by which he was now arrayed in. He held up his travel armour plated shirt glareing at the gash torn in it's side as he sat perched on the inward facing side of the wall.

Ninquelote had retrieved the rest of her armor from Ebony's saddle packs, and was not in her full armor. "I fear the worst for this night." She said softly, half to herself, half to Lomien.

"The northern fort we can afford to lose, as the towns nearest hear all have fortresses...it just makes sneaking off to Telpurion that much harder is all" he sighed whaching the tower directly infront of him closing the distance to the wall, his custode Guard forming a phalanx in front of him.

"The fort yes, but the lives? The Dark Army already outnumber us, and you know just as well as I what a massacre can to to the spirit realm, not to mention this one. Remember our home." She said softly.

"Well then perhaps we will have to make things alittle interesting for them" he said telepathically ordering all but a few off of the walls and to the court yard.

Ear moved into the courtyard next to Lomien and Nin as he was issueing orders to more of the men. "How interesting would you like our night to be?" He asked Lomien in his mind, his tail ruffling about under the heavy plate shirt.

"I was thinking we get those who can wield earth, hallow out a pit, and when they burst in collapse everything on them, all the wile making good our escape and ruining Gurthars dratted north Army at the same time" Lomien said with slight satisfaction.

Earoluim though for a moment to himself, "Save the strength of your troop Lomien, I have ways of earthing a pit and collasping a building. That is if you do not think it is too much of a job for one man such as myself." He said with a sly smile as his eyes looked to the Northern gate.

"Hold off though on springing your little trap until there are as many that can be killed by it as possible yet you still be able to make good your escape" Lomien was pleased with this turn of events, yes they would lose the northern fort but it would be such a disaster to the Dark Army that it would be a long time before they dared strike again, or so he hoped.

"Have any of your earth weilders ever worked alongside the mythical Buillete?" Ear asked, knowing the answer all to well, though maybe in a chance there was someone. He turned to Lomien, his tail sweeping at the ground behind him as he pulled his pole arm out from under his skirt .

"I wouldn't know, i doubt it though" he replyed, his voice casual and relaxed.

Ear smiled and nodded, extending the shaft of the weapon and thrusting its head into the ground, it began to pulse like a heart within the earth, low and strong.

Nin was unsure if she approved of the idea or not, she knew what such a defeat would do to the Dark Army, but she also knew the repercussions it could have on the spirit realm.

On the other side of the fortress, Rayne's small force snuck through the village, silently killing any guards. They encountered a little more difficulty with Lomien's Custodians, and for a few tense minutes she was sure the entire Alliance would come down upon them, but they gained entrance to the fortress itself without notable event. Once inside, Rayne's force split, following the inside of the walls, and began systematically killing the Alliance's guards and any other soldiers they came across.

Lomiens guard alerted to the intrusion, turned silently to to their master "My lord, it would appear there are intruders at the back gate" the custode captain said, his voice disembodied and void. Lomien, growling at the new arrivals lept down the stairs to where shouts where now arising, the first of the towers disgorging gurthars' troops as the battering ram began to pummel the fortress gates.

Ninquelote followed her husband toward the disturbance, her sward arm was still mostly useless, but she still had the fixed blade of her gauntlet for defense.

"Just where do you think you're going?" he asked her, stopping with a hand on her undamaged shoulder.

"With you." She answered impatiently, attempting to get around him.

"You wish, you have only one usable arm and your should is in a sling" he said picking her up, turning her the other way and giving her a gentle nudge in the direction of the medicae tent "Wait for me there love..please" he whispered into her ear.

Nin swung back around to face him, wrapping her right arm about his neck as she did so, "If I wait for you, then you had better come back to me." She whispered, tightening her grip about his neck as much as her wounded shoulder would allow. It was rare that she showed fear, but she had been unable to shake her sense of foreboding since it came over her before dusk.

The ground oulsed still from his weapon, the ground pulsing with life as it burst with a beat all of its own, Earoluim smiled and pulled his weapon free. Shouting a few orders out to the troops he motioned a few to follow him as they made their way to a defensive fall back position.

"I will return to you Nin, when have i not?" he said smiling at her, his battle armour black against the growing darkness. Lomien was very happy to have gotten ahold of his battle dress.

Nin returned his smile, though weakly. "Take care my love." She whispered in his ear drawing herself up to kiss him on the cheek. She drew back slowly unwrapping her arm from his neck, reluctant to let him go.

Lomien turned to go, attempting to draw his sword, he growled in pain seeing that more than one dart had found itself into his arm. Sheething his weapon Lomien began yanking the darts out, and looking for the those that where causing such a fracus in his back door.

Earoluim stood and waited for the enemy to come to the courtyard.

Gurthar with a triumphant roar whached as the the towers delivered their cargo, hearing the clamor of battle on the walls. Assembling a personal guard of Minotuar champions, brutes at least as big (some bigger) than the chieftain faced earlyer. All of them where armed and armoured to the teeth.

At the back gates the silent wraith guard battled on against Rayne's unit, some could release psychic energy tearing their opponents apart, all of them adorned in black, bitterly resisting the advance of their masters enemy.

Rayne lashed out with fire at almost anything that moved, except the wraith guards. Those she left to her men, for her magic was useless against them. She released a flame which consumed a human. Walking through an archway, she came almost face-to-face with Lomien and his guards. She stopped short, surprised to see so many already aware of her attack, but her eyes widened even more when she recognized Lomien. A smile touched her lips beneath her black cowl, What would Ullari think of Gurthar were she to take down Lomien? The Dark Elf released a flash of lightening and quickly rolled behind the cover of a piller.

Foolish girl lomien taunted her telepathecly, catching the bolt of lightning in his hand, returning the blast ten fold demolishing the pillar she had dove behind.

Rayne dove behind another pillar, startled by the extent of his power. Seeing his display, she began to wonder whether she should just disappear, she wouldn't have to take on Lomien himself to overwhelm the fortress. Deciding against that plan of action for the time being she began hurling balls of fire in Lomien's direction.

"You really think these will be able to get to me?" Lomien laughed turning and walking slowly towards her, casually swating aside her fire balls. Reaching out psychicly he gave her a taste of what he could do, levitating her off the ground then slaming her back into it.

Gurthar had the gate down, rushing headlong at the front of those charging, enjoying the fight as he fought with the alliance line men.

Rayne cried out as she slammed against the ground. This couldn't happen, she couldn't fail Ullari, but she couldn't fight back. The young Elf was quickly discovering that she was no match for the opponent she dad picked.

"Foolish, foolish little girl, you look rather familiar, to bad" he said snapping her arm and tossing her aside like a rag doll. Seeing a Minotuar Champion of Gurthars' he lept aside as the brutes' ax plowed into the ground, decapitating it in one fell swing of his sword.

Gurthar seeing Lomien lay into the champion and warriors, decided to investigate who it was that had challenged Lomien so brazenly "Rayne?!?" he said slightly startled that she was here, he had nothing against her though he thought she was very high strung, his laughter died however seeing her snapped arm "Come on kid let's get out of here, trust me he's not one you want to challenge so openly" he said hauling her up by her good arm, quite happy that the alliance would soon have little choice but to relinquish the fort, or be caught in a very brutal close quarters fight thank god for minotuars he said whaching the beasts fight with the defenders.

"Keep away from me Crusnik!" Rayne snapped pulling her arm away from him, it had never been a secret that she disliked Gurthar. Casting a regretful glance at Lomien she turned and went her own way, attempting to do what she could to displace Gurthar from his seat beside Ullari.

"Fine, go fry yourself little whelp, i guarentee you though you wont be able to best him....and i doubt you could even hurt him" he said, with a growl "To be honest Rayne i never asked for the posistion i am now in....Ullari put me there..for reasons i do not know" he growled moving on with the Minotuars.

Rayne cast a disgusted look over her shoulder at Gurthar, and turned back to burning Alliance soldiers.

Ear and the troops that followed him pulled back from the courtyard as cries of battle rang out nearby, issueing a flanking maneuver he commanded the troops just outside the gates. Reaching under his skirt he revealed a wicked looking longsword named SoulReaver, brandishing the heavy shield carried by the Minotaur earlier. He pushed into the enemy vanguard towards Lomien and the rest of the alliance officers.

Gurthar seeing the Demon, scooted up to the top of the battle ment away from the three of them Rayne you might want to get out of there he said knowing full well what turning one's back to Lomien got you.

"Smart fish" Lomien said seeing the crusnik dissapear. Seeing Rayne burn her way through his troops, Lomien had had enough. Lifting her in the air again, he shot a focused lightning bolt at her back, catching her in it's energy sapping arc i warned you little girl that it is not wise to trifle with me" he said snapping her other arm and both her shoulders.

Rayne fairly screamed as she felt the lightening coursing through her, and the bones in her arms break. She felt weak, she could hardly think through the pain. <i>This is not how it is supposed to be,
She thought, I cannot fail Ullari.

your master, my brother, is a murdering fool who started this war because he could not have a woman an weapon that did not belong to him, and i did not kill all of the counsil Rayne only those who attacked me and wished to appease my unappeasable brother. He will use you till you are of no more use to him, he does not care if you die he said holding her in the lightning arc dropping her crumpled form onto the ground.

Rayne cried out as her body hit the ground, her hood and cowl had fallen from her face, and her fetures were distorted with pain.

Ear came upon Lomien as he mangled an opponent with his lightning, he circled around him looking for more enemy officers before turning to him and giving him a slight nod.

Lomien feeling Ear circle around him returned the nod subconsciously Rayne, i did not kill your father, the one you call master is resposable for that, your father supported me somthing very few did, and it cost him his life because of it. My brother is a murderer Rayne, i have lived with him for the last six centuries that he has lived he said to her telepathically, before turning to see off the attacks of some of her warriors.

"You lie!" Rayne screamed both with her voice and with her mind, "You wish to poison me against my lord." she whimpered through the pain, "You will not turn me against him." She struggled to stand, she was beyond feeling the pain now, she was enraged that someone would tell such blatant lies about her lord. Lomien was the one who slew the counsel, everyone knew that, Lomien had killed her father. Rayne lashed out at Lomien, a cold smile touched her face as he was engulfed in flames.

A cold smile came over him you are so hopless, foolish little girl he said to her, the flames coalescing into a ball of fire over his hand, turning it into lighting he shot multiple blasts at her, holding her in his psychic grasp you lord, my brother is a cruel tyrant who will use you till you have no breath left, now stay out of my way he said slamming her again into the ground. Lomien felt sorry for her, but he was all the more incensed at her annoyances.

Rayne lay where she had fallen, crumpled in a heap, shuddering, but not moving.

Lomien shouting orders to his men, ordered a fall back to the rear gate "Ear, set our little trap" he whispered to ear as he walked by him "Where is Nin?" he asked realizing he had not seen her.

Gurthar about to leep clear having been made aware of Lomien's plan to ruin his Army. The whole Army he could not save but he figured he might as well save as much as he could. Picking up Rayne he carried her to the out skirts of the town where Dark Army soldiers milled around. "Now be still, let's see...oh my you really did get it..told you he was nasty" he sighed, using his water magic to manipulate the water in her body "This might hurt abit, but please try not to incinerate me" he said. Gurthar as gently as possible began resetting the bones in her body, turning whith a bitter glare to the city, turning back to her "For what it's worth you can have the seat that you crave so much...and if it's looking good for Ullari that has you bottled up, i'll make some of my more heinous battle damage reappear" he said, letting show just breifly the horrid scarring on his face before absorbing it again.

"Watch yourself Crusnik." Rayne said through barred teeth, then stopped herself mid-cry as she felt her bones moving back in place. She hated this feeling, being entirely at Gurthar's mercy, and it showed in the discusted look on her face. "The seat means nothing to me, however it is not right that you should have Ullari's ear, that duty belongs to one of the Brotherhood." She said, her red eyes smoldering and her teeth still barred against the pain.

"Would you hold still already! you have no idea how hard it is setting bones!" he growled carefully begining the process again "I would agree, honestly i have no idea how i wound up in that posistion, he came up to me and more or less commanded me to assume the position, and who am i to refuse?" he said with a tinge of helplessness "Really as much as it seems to the contrary i would much rather occupy a more simple post, idealy nothing above a captain or line sarge. To tell you the truth i think i'm in that spot because of my repeated tussels with Lomien" he spat the last word with venom "I have a grudge against that elf unequal to all save Ullari himself....." his voice trailed off as he began adjusting the shattered bones in her arm.

Rayne could not stop herself from crying out this time as the shattered bones in her fore-arms began moving. "He is a brute," Rayne said bitterly, referring to Lomien, "I do not see how the lady Ninquelote could choose him over our lord."

Ninquelote found her way over to Lomien and Ear, "Who was that girl? She looked strangely familiar." She asked her husband watching Gurthar carry Rayne away.

"Old councilman Realatha's daughter Rayne, needless to say i doubt she'll be bothering us anytime soon" he said turning to her.

"Funney thing about love is you never do understand how it works" Gurthar said softly "Now hold still...i'm about to fix your elbow....an it might hurt abit" he said, giving a rather sickened look on his face as he felt the bones slide back into place "you have no idea what a double curse i've been given" he sighed, with each trace of his fingers along her arm, the bones responded slowly to his command "what did you get your self into" he grumbled.

Rayne shuddered feeling Gurthar's hand on her arm, she hated the Crusnik, and letting him touch her made her feel sick. This time Rayn refused to cry out, she did not wish to show any more weakness to one who she considered an enemy
to Ullari's cause.

Nin's eyes widened as she looked back to the place the girl and Crusnik had disappeared from sight. "The one who joined the Brotherhood as a child? She still lives?"

"She lives, though not so happy to be doing so after what just happened" Lomien smirked, then shuddered at the thought.

"You know i can read your mind though your blood" Gurthar said in a slightly annoyed voice "Very well if you hate me so much then, what is the point in heeling you, knowing that you'll probably only try to fry me...and i've had enough of that today" he said glad he hadn't finished repairing her arm. Gurthar rose, and turned to leave "i will not waste my time with one who does not care, my men, despite what you might think i care very much for and many of them are about to die" he said flatly, he really did care for his men, many of whom he had personally healed after sparring or battle and it showed in the way they followed him. Gazig off towards the fortress he was now to weary and knowing he would not make it back to the fort, sank to the ground.

"There is one admirable quality in you Crusnik," Rayn said a bit unwillingly, "You care about your men, and they are loyal to you. That is why I see you as a threat to Ullari's cause. I may be young, but I can see that you know the men who follow you would follow you even against Ulari himself. Your desire, whatever it may be, is not my lord's."

Ninquelote looked at her husband, it was rare that he became like this, so cold and uncaring. She almost believed that the elf who stood before her, and her husband were two different people. "Love," She said softly, "let us leave this place, let us gather our soldiers and depart, the fortress is lost."

"Then you do not know me or my men, wile yes i pursue to one extent or another my own agenda, my men are taught to be loyal first to Ullari secounding everything else. Ullari knows this, which is why he cares not what i do with the troops...though like i said, i would rather be a foot soldier than where im at right now...." Gurthar knew though that his own leadership with the men had gotten him into that spot. He was not sure though what to do with Rayne.

Lomien gazed off briefly that Crusnik...such an odd fellow, though oh how i want him dead! he thought bitterly to himself, turning to his wife. "very well my love, i think it is lost as well" he said, glaring at the darts left in his arm "Those will be fun to get out...." he said sarcasticly, it was a common known fact that he hated having things pulled out...with a passion, and this often made him very irratable.

"I am willing to do that for you, if you think it will help to keep you calm. But first we must get out of here." Nin said.

Ignoring the pain in her not quite healed arms, Rayne tore the bottom of her cloak and tied it about her neck as a sling for the worse of her two broken arms.

"You do know he shattered your legs to" Gurthar said softly seeing her struggle "Let's just say you're very lucky to have survived...." his voice trailed off, very haunted and pained as memories he had striven to surpress flooded into his mind, screaming and tearing at his concieaous. Gurthar shuddered, then righted himself.

"Yes i think we do need to get out of her, and be my guest to pulling those things....yeow!" he barked tearing one out of his uper arm that had gone deeper than what he had thought.

Nin jumped upon hearing Lomien yell, "I'll take care of it." She said soothingly, let's just get out of here right now.

"You don't think I can't feel that?" Rayne snapped angrily, "How could I not know he broke my legs? He broke nearly every bone in my body." She mumbled bitterly.

"At least he left you alive, Lomien is not so inclined to do so when he is provoked so extremely" Gurthar said bitterly, sorrow and anguish rich in his voice "You're alive...be thankful for that much" he said looking to the fort where he expected his men to soon be coming from.

"Very well" Lomien replied softly, seeing that the center of the fort was now filled with Dark army troops and that all of his men had gotten away he turned to ear "Lets spring the trap" he said emotionalessly walking away from the fort with ear. Hearing a loud roar as the fort began caving in.

Gurthar cried out in horror as he saw the fortress cave in, sinking to his knees in disbelief "Rayne...please tell me...what is it that is making that loud noise?" he said, his voice sounding dis-embodied, his face ashen white.

Rayne straightened where she sat, only to be rewarded by searing pain through her body. "What in the name of the heavens....."

Gurthar looked on helplessly, powerless to stop the destruction of his Army, his face ashen "How much will you take away from me Lomien, first them and now this" he said bitterly. He was not sure what to do about Rayne, he knew she hated him and Gurthar was more than tired of being hated and judged. However he knew that to leave her in such a state would mean a slow painful death at the hands of forest predators...many of whom played with their food long before killing it. Gurthar was not cruel, though he at the same time was unsure if he wanted to deal with yet another life long tormentor...he already had several and he wasn't sure he wanted one more.

Ear issued a retreat from the courtyard, in hopes that ot would draw the enemy in to the center of the battlements. The most vunerable spot, it would sustain severe damage when the trap fell.

"What will you do? Rayne asked Gurthar softly, watching him as he sat there. She disliked the Crusnik, but she was not heartless, she could not help but feel sorry for him.

"They had families, i know most of them by name. They followed me willingly, and now look how i have betrayed them. They trusted me with their lives, and now they are all dead" he said bitterly "Lomien you have made me whach one somthing like this before....why, why again, where those lives lost in the past not enough for you?" he spoke quietly. He realised she was still completly imobile, though his mind was torn to shreds as to what to do about her and his beloved Army.

"We cannot stay here Gurthar," Rayne said softly, "this is not the first time either of us has seen the destruction of a city, we must move on."

Gurthar grimaced realizing he had clenched his had tightly around a sharp sword, starting at the pain he gazed at the blood seeing Gurthar, wait who are you...Lea!, ugh, no! flash backs tore through his mind, a haunted look coming over him. Standing, he whistled for his horse. "All my life i have been tormented, and now i am torn between saving one such tormentor or not" he said quietly to himself, leaping back as a giant bear barreled into his horse, tearing the creature to shreds "No!" he cried, the last shred of a life once happy now gone. Gurthar whached in patient rage as the beast stood on the other side of Rayne.

Rayne stared at the bear, sick at the sight of it's bloody feast. Though she had little energy, in her anger she released a ball of flame at the beast and sagged wearily as she watched the fire consume it.

A very much alive, and very on fire bear tore after the source of it's pain. "I'm going to regret this later, but might as well have fun with regret" Gurthar said, calmly manipulating the bear through his control over its' blood "Now dance" he said, whaching the bear respond with roar and growl as it stood up on it's feet and did just that. Gurthar continued to torment the beast through his control over his element. "Now die" he growled, and with a sickening crunch the bear slumped in a heap at his feet "bear skin coat?" he asked Rayne dryly.

Rayne shuddered, the shaky movement sending pain through her body, and thought she would be sick. "I would prefer not. We should search for survivors as soon as it is safe. Would you at least heal my legs?"

And why would i do that, you tormenting little vixen he thought bitterly. "I can do that" he said, his voice sounding disembodied as he began tweaking and setting the bones in her right leg. He glanced sorrowfully at the remains of the horse, stopping what he was doing and why should i not leave her to the same fate he thought to himself, appearing lost in thought. His ears perked as the sound of wolves began rathe uncomfortable close.

Rayne looked up, startled a little by the sound of wolves. She looked over to where the dead bear lay smoldering only a couple of feet away from them and kindled a small fire into its fur. "That should discourage them." She said nervously, "You're seriously considering leaving me here aren't you?" She asked Gurthar.

"No, i'm not. As many tormentors that i have, and as much of one as you are, that kind of death is only reserved for worst enemy's if even that" he said, finishing with her right leg, and moving to the next, working on her left leg, arm and shoulder. Gurthar eyed the tree line warily, with a nervousness not know to become him.

"Some people would consider you soft-hearted, weak. What does Ullari see in you, that he has given you a seat of such honor?" Rayne asked not unkindly.

Laughing slightly at her for calling him softe hearted he looked at her "Because Ullari knows that i will kill without question, that i can lead any army to victory, that i respect him and will follow him to the bitter end...somthing proved at a great cost" he said, finishing her leg, and now concentrating on her arm.

Rayne hissed as her bones moved, "I hope for your sake that you are right." She said through gritted teeth.

"Right about what?" he asked "Would you like me to numb you till i've finished repairing the damage done?" he said noticing her grimace.

"About you following him until the end. And no, you're almost finished, I'll be fine." Rayne said still gritting her teeth

"I have nothing left in this world to lose, this is all i have. Ullari has given me somthing to live for, i will follow him until he dismisses me. I am expendable" he finished with a sigh. Gurthar finished repairing the damage stood and looked around i am going to regret this later he thought to himself, looking out at the rising dawn.

Rayne stood slowly to test the strength of her legs, she was still in a lot of pain, and very weak, but she could stand. "I suppose now we wait until it is safe to search for survivors." She said softly.

"It would be wise, but i am beyound caring for my own life." he said, his voice dangerously calous in his words "Now to convince the commanders that a push should be made to the plain, where we can occupy more villages, and draw out the alliance....though this can't occur now" Gurthar seemned to sway with the wind, his grey hair the color of the overcast sky, his eyes had no life in them such was his sorrow and anger.

Rayne just watched him, wondering what was going on in his mind.

Deciding to unleash his furry, he sent a huge burst of water into the sky, growling in frustration as it began to rain heavily "oh great" he frowned sitting down, diverting the water from himself elsewhere. A lightning bolt seared from the sky, and into his gut. Snarling in pain, Gurthar was in turn thrown back against the tree with a thud and a grunt as he impacted into the trunk.

Rayn jumped in surprise, then ran to Gurthar, "Are you alright?" She asked.

"I'm debating weather or not to let this kill me or heal it" he said, feeling blood run down the side of his mouth "Wow, how amazing, to have chalenged some of the most powerful beings in this world, and live. Only to die by a single lightning bolt from the skies" he said turning away from her only briefly to cough, sending blood into the grass. "How calm, the rain the clouds, and to think that i would have the honor of dying on the same field as my men" he said with a smile.

"Your men, if any remain, need you Gurthar, as does Ullari. If you have the power to heal yourself then do so." Rayne said seriously.

Gurthar, struggled to heal himself mostly because his body was simply giving up "Funney, i never have had to fight to heal myself so much" he said, wincing in pain as the healing water refused to co-operate "This is what a life like mine leads to...your body simply doesnt want to live any more" he said, trying to stop the flow of blood.

Rayne stepped forward cautiously, "Here, let me help." She said, placing her white hand softly on the wound, "This is going to hurt." She warned, then flames licked about the wound, burning the already seared flesh and cauterizing the wound.

Gurthar grimaced in pain, turning on his side quickly to vomit, this time acid came up with it burning down the grass and moss. "Thank you" he said, stuggling to stand, not sure what to make of Rayne now. "I guess i had better go and look for survivors" he said mournfully.

"I guess we're still not even, as you'll have to heal the rest yourself." Rayne said. "But you are in no condition to be moving around, sit here a little while and rest."

"I am healing my self as i...yeeooww" his voice turning into a high piched yell, looking down he saw a human, a vagrant with a scavenged pike, that was now lodged in his foot "Very bad aim boy, now here is what i have in response" he said, with a wave of his hand, he sent brightly colored spikes towards him. With a scream the boy was now pinned to the ground. Gurthar eyed him, scorn, sorrow, hatred, and pity in his eyes at the same time.

Rayne jumped, startled by Gurthar's yell, then stared at the poor young boy.

"You tramp, you don't even fight for a side, and yet you have the gall to steal from those whose sacrifice keeps you alive" Gurthar spat, now in his rage the wounds healed perfectly. He began circling the young theif, leaping aside as ten of his comrades came running up. "So little theives, you wish to steal, very well then lets see how good you are with stollen weapons" he said tossing each a sword, drawing his own two handed, double edgedsword.

Rayne watched the group, then one of the vagrants noticed her. He turned from Gurthar and walked toward her, a gleam that Rayn understood all too well in his eye. With a flick of her wrist, she sent a ball of flames at the boy.

Laughing at the boy as he colapsed still alive, he turned to the rest of the group. With a cruel smile he used his magic to control half the bunch, whaching them as they tore apart each other.

Though she almost felt sorry for them, Rayne couldn't help but laugh, the boys looked comical jerking around under Gurthar's control.

Ear hid in a well shadowed position, wating for the advancing dark army to pour into the middle of the battlement.

The fortress is lost, we sprung the trap now let us regroup elswhere Lomien whispered telepathically to Ear. Lomien rode quietly through the shadows of the woods, having evaded Nin and the rest of the retreating Alliance army i will not remain here so do not worry about me he communicated again, he was by now no where near the fort, crossing the back side of the fortress and on down to his hidden port, Tervel, a town that was unaffected by either Alliance or Dark Army meaning easy travel for Lomien, who was now arrayed as a traveler, though he still kept his travel armour on.

Ninquelote looked about her and found Lomien suddenly missing. "I must go Earoluim, I am going to follow my husband." She said to him before mounting Ebony and riding away.

Gurthar, turned to the east of the fort "There is a small town with a water way ther, i think a little down time would be nice...i don't know about you but i would like these wounds to heal properly before returning to battle, somthing you and i both know good Ullari won't let us do if we show back up...i can here his lecture on it now...trust me..i've gotten more than an earfull on more than one occasion. But he won't mind if we head off somwhere...as..odd..as that is" he said to Rayne "Now where's a bloody horse when you need one?" he sighed, looking at the tattered remains of his own mount with alittle sorrow.

"I shall return to Ullari." Rayne said, "I must make my report." She rose and turned away from Gurthar, striding swiftly toward the ruins of the fort, intending to search the ruins for survivors and return to the Dark Army's camp. She walked cautiously among the ruins, all her senses alert.

Ear bowed and nodded his head, "Well it is not like we have anything better to do here." he said with a bit of sarcasm, he issued more orders to the men to fall back. He turned abruptly sheathing his sword and bound off in Nin's direction, running just a few paces off to the side behind her mount.

Rayne waited until the Alliance had cleared the fort before searching the ruins. Finding no survivors who would be able to survive much more than a couple of minutes, she returned to the Dark Army's camp, intending to make her report to Ullari in The command tent.

Eldur landed quietly like a shadow outside the northern fort. This place was so crowded of spirits, and almost none felt friendly to him. His eyes where now glowing more than before, making them as bright as the stars of the night. Being deaf made him more advanced in magic than he should be, but also in a weird way. He seemed to have a connection with the spiritual realm, but not one he could control willingly, and as he had understood so far not even the spirits for he would have been long ago possessed by one of them. It was like the connection was controlled by the realm itself, something that made him change his opinion about calling it "realm". He turned his sences towards Ninquelótë. When being like that he could communicate with anyone in any distance. But it wasn't actually his will, but that of the realm following the path she had taken, he took of for Tervel.

2009-03-04 [Earoluim]: * bows my head *

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: I waited on you

2009-03-05 [Talos Cyrion]: it's not over, in case you havent read there is still quite abit going on, the only part changed is where Lomien an Nin fought.

2009-03-05 [Pnelma Tirian]: I appreciate that.

2009-03-05 [Pnelma Tirian]: ...Fara Shiva doesn't have an inner thigh.

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: Fara is not humanoid ? Or Bipedal?

2009-03-05 [Pnelma Tirian]: No, she's not. Fara Shiva is a Drider. Octopedal. :D Also, could you paint a better picture of what Ear looks like? Because apparently in this instance he doesn't look like the picture you posted for him

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: I am about to do that, when I posted I am wearing full body plate

So,... you are a spider chick, my apologies I was under a different impression.

2009-03-05 [Pnelma Tirian]: heh, just a LITTLE bodily harm! ^_^

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: lol, uhm sorry, but there are not cracks in the armor love, if you wanted to get to the skin you need to literally hit my head, I should have my pic up soon.

2009-03-05 [Pnelma Tirian]: wasn't aiming for his skin. Let me clarify, then. Also, she already hit his head. :)

2009-03-05 [Pnelma Tirian]: Would you mind explaining the physics of how he got there, please?

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: uhm, the moment you jump he kinda just turned around and ran. Was there not enough detail for that ? You on moved several feet

2009-03-05 [Pnelma Tirian]: She also hit him. She only jumped a few feet away, so she didn't spend much time in the air for him to get under her. Even if she had jumped high, he ran backwards after being struck on the head?

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: Not running backwards no, lean back maybe a step or two and turning in the momentum of the moment and taking a position for a strike of opporitunity.

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: I hope that post suited much better?

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: It is Earoluim

2009-03-05 [~Valkyrie~]: oh, I'm sorry, I'll fix that. Gosh, I really do need new glasses. :)

2009-03-05 [Earoluim]: lol it is ok

2009-03-09 [Earoluim]: I put a second picture up on my character profile here to show him in a full suit of armor .

2009-03-11 [~Valkyrie~]: Poor Rayne :'(
