Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins review
At the outset, I thought this book was just going to rehash the events of the first book in the series,
The Hunger Games, but I was pleasantly surprised by its story. I can't say that I enjoyed it as much as the first book, but any difference in my opinion is fairly negligible.
As the reader, I found my animosity growing toward the fictitious established government, and found the cracks forming in its foundation satisfying as the characters fought their way through their second set of Hunger Games competitions.
Unfortunately, there seemed to be little character development for the heroine, Katniss, which was frustrating, especially leading into the conclusion of the series.
