Chronothusia

The generations stand in line
Marching forward to the pyres
while the young stand at base of the river
Washing their silks in the ashy waters of the elderly

This delightfully short poem is inspired by the movie fight club in which tyler durden claims that the first heroes were humans sacrificed on a hill, their ash and blood ran into a river and created lye, the lye ran down the river where people washed their clothes which got them immensly clean.
Chronothusia is a greek word meaning Time Sacrifice, it is the idea that the old should die for the sake ov the young. This poem is very nihilistic in the sense that we are all marching up the hill, and in the end no matter what we do we are just soap to the people we died for. Certainly a sign ov the times?
