Flapping her wings once, Lhayav entered, her pet following shortly behind her. She looked for the referee, greeting: "Hello?"

Al'tul entered shortly after Lhayav, looking around the battlezone. "Interesting." was all he managed to mumble, as Al'tul awaited the referee to answer Lhayav's question.

Amelia soon came to greet the two, bowing slightly, she placed her hands on her hips. "Very well, are you two the ones fighting?" she asked.

"Perhaps," Lhayav said, turning her head a bit to the side but keeping her eyes on the referee. "But we'd first like to know a bit more about the new battle types that have been made possible in the Arena. What are they, for starters?"

"Well with just two people you could try a single one on one fight, a handicap match, a duel battle, a magic duel battle, a cockfight or a circus maximus battle." replied promptly Amelia.

"Hum. What is the Circus Maximus battle like?" Lhayav continued.

"Basically you can either choose a level of difficulty or be assigned one, then we release critters into the Arena with you and you fight for your lives." replied Amelia with a shrug.

Lhayav flashed that little smile of hers and turned to the Terran. "How would you like that?"

"Let us first figure out what the levels of difficulty are before we attempt to fight the 'critters'." Al'tul replied to Lhayav, and then looked to Amelia for the answer. "How are difficulties assigned?" he asked, "And what benefit is there for assignment over our volunteering a difficulty?"

"Well the difficulty is assigned according to your level, and the benefit of choosing your own difficulty level is the fact that you can choose your own difficulty level." replied Amelia rolling her eyes at the long chatter. "You know the information for the new modes is posted in the boards at the colosseum, you could've just read it."

"I'm no good with decisions." Al'tul proclaimed and then forwarded his hands towards Lhayav, "I'll let my recent acquaintence decide." He was thinking it would be good to have a battle focused at their lower levels, but knew that his skills at the least might give them enough of an edge against a creature much higher than their level, provided it was not in the habit of flying.

"Ah, well..." Lhayav thought about it for a moment, rolling the possibilities in her mind. "Let them be low-leveled creatures for now... and my fellram will fight too," she added when she noticed Frammie was nudging her leg eagerly.

"Ok then, Low-level, but I'll need an exact number if you want to decide on your own difficulty." replied Amelia.

Lhayav glanced at Frammie and her new fighting companion and merely shrugged. "Two."

"Allright, wait here please." said Amelia as she walked out of the Arena by a side door.

Amelia locked the door she had just exited through and the other doors surrounding the Arena were closed as well. After a few seconds, Lhayav, Frammie and Antub were alone in the Arena. A gate opposite the entrance started opening slowly, and three wolves ran out, heading straight for the trio.

Battle has started!

Turns and positions are as following!
Frammie (O6)(4/16 HP)
Wolf 1 (N7)(*_*)
Lhayav (N4)
Wolf 2 (L9)(*_*)
Wolf 3 (O5)(*_*)(Entangled! 2 turns left!)(Stunned! 1 turns left)
Al'tul (L8)

Frammie's turn! -

Lhayav nodded to her pet with a smile, pointing towards the wolf in the middle.

Frammie trod from behind Al'tul and eyed the wolf in N7 coming straight towards it. It baaed wildly, its big brown eyes flaring, bent its head down and set for a trample towards the wolf. (Charge)

Normally, Frammie's speed would not have allowed her to reach the enemy wolf before it attacked, but since Frammie was charging, and thus running, it began to gain speed and finally stricking the wolf on the side with her horns and trampling it, dealing 12 damage and immediately killing her enemy!

Lhayav's turn! -

While moving closer to the other wolf (O5), Lhayav cheered for her baby fellram in her thoughts. She wanted to put her recently-learned spell to use and so tried casting Sonic Blast on the wolf she had chosen.

Lhayav runs to L6, and was preparing to cast her spell, however, she stopped soon after, realizing that a sonic blast would not affect the wolf unless it was next to her.

The Wolf in O9 runs to O7 and tries to bite Frammie's left back leg!

Frammie turns to face the wolf directly and tries to whack it away, or at least defend itself, with its horns.

Frammie tries to fend off the wolf, but as it turns, the wolf jumps and bites its side, dealing 7 damage!

Using the team strategies wolves are known for, the second Wolf attacks Frammie from behind as the Fellram tries to fend off the first wolf!

As Frammie desperately turns around, he catches the sight of the second wolf and decides to run to her master, out of the wolves' reach.

Frammie tried to escape but it forgot it was being bitten by the first wolf. Without much trouble, the second wolf bit Frammie's hind leg, dealing 5 damage!

Al'tul's turn! -

Al'tul stomped heavily off to L8 and swung his flail around trying to gather the wolves attention or frighten them from the fellram. The sound of the heavy flail ripping through the air surely would be enough to cause them alarm, and even if he was not able to scare them, he would certainly cause them to regroup unless they were willing to protect a meal that might cause them to die before they could eat. Before the wolves could run the corrupted terran cast entangle upon the wolf further from him as his threat display would surely have more effect in gathering the closer wolf's notice.

Al'tul extended his hand and the cobblestone under the first wolf began to break, dark green vines emerging from the floor and wrapping around the wolf!

Frammie's turn! -

Frammie baaed frantically but saw no other chance but to try to bash the remaining free wolf away. (Knockback)

Frammie charged the Wolf with its horns and raised its head on the last minute, catapulting the wolf over to L9 and dealing 3 damage!

Lhayav's turn! -

Lhayav shook her head and scolded herself for not realizing soon enough that she was not close enough for affecting damage. Now she could easily reach the tangled wolf, though, and so she went near it (but not too near) and finished her spell on it.

Lhayav moved next to the wolf and struck the ground with her fist, immediately aftwerwards a wave of sound and pressure emerged from the ground and struck the wolf, dealing 4 damage and stunning it!

The wolf in L9 had not yet give up on the prey, it quickly ran to N7 and tried to grapple bite Frammie!

Frammie sensed it would be too slow for the coming wolf and so, instead of running away, it took up its own trample towards the beast, thinking to bash it with its horns right inside its open and vulnerable mouth even if the fangs will tear it a bit.

Luckily enough for Frammie, when the Wolf was confronted with the horns, it backed down and looked for a less protected angle to attack.

Al'tul's turn! -

With a wolf closer now, Al'tul moved in for an attack with his heavy flail. He swung it around three times to build momentum before finally smashing it towards the wolf attacking Frammie.

Al'tul lifted his flail and discharged it upon the unsuspecting wold, turning its spine into dust and killing the canine instantly!

Frammie's turn! -

As the wolf was entangled, Frammie saw his chance to finish the wolf without consequences, despite being quite tired already. He baaed for power and furiously bashed the wolf's head with his horns.

The wolf, entangled and stunned, is an easy target for Frammie, which charges towards it with all its might. with a single bash of its horns, Frammie sends the wolf flying away, dying!

Battle has ended!
everyone has gained 350 XP!
Al'tul has leveled up!
Lhayav has levled up!

"Hmmm, yes... that did it." Al'tul said whilst watching the wolf in flight. "Tend to... umm, Frammie. He is quite wounded." the terran requested Lhayav. Scratching his hoofs against the stone of the arena, Al'tul felt like going another round. "How are you for another match? I'm not quite at my limit yet, we should probably go one scale higher." he said, patting his stony hands together.

Lhayav proudly hugged her fellram, which baaed tiredly but happily, and looked at him. He seemed rather battered indeed. Turning to face Al'tul, she said: "I'm up for another one, yes, but I think he should rest. I don't have any potions with me right now but I can take him to the temple later." Talking to her pet, she continued: "Okay? Just relax and rest while we take another round. Then I will take you to the temple." Frammie simply baaed in agreement and trod off to the side.

"It fought well." Al'tul commented, and then turned to the referee, "Another round please, something a tad more difficult will be sufficient." The terran smiled, having used humor for the first time in a long while. Rubbing his chin, Al'tul then added to his suggestion, "Make it big and alone, something I'll not likely grind into dust in one strike."

"Will you do it alone?" asked Amelia.

"Umm, no." Al'tul said, then realized his bulk might have hidden his ally. "Oh yes, confusion understood." he said after seeing Lhayav behind him, and with a sidestep he revealed his acquaintence to the referee. "She'll accompany me in the next battle." he said, pointed back and downwardly towards her.

"And, are you going to pick your own difficulty level this time?" asked Amelia again.

"Level Two seemed too easy, double it." Al'tul suggested. Gripping his heavy flail, Al'tul suggested, "Make it one big monster."

"Ok then, Lv4 it is." replied Amelia as she withdrew back into the second level of the Arena.

Once more, the gates closed and some creature was heard thrashing behind them no long after. A few seconds later, the door opened and a large creature came bursting through, the enormous Lizardfoll wielded two gigantic hammers, one on each hand and a mouth filled with razor shap teeth.

Battle has started!
Turns and positions are as following!
Lhayav (G14)
Lizard Mauler (*_*)
Al'tul (H13)

Lhayav's turn! -

Lhayav blinked at the Lizard Mauler and stared at its teeth for a while until realizing she probably should do something. She shook off the shiver of fear at the sight of the thing and rose up into the air, saying quietly to Al'tul "Here we go then... It'd be cool if you could bind that thing down like with the wolf." Flying quickly towards the Mauler a bit from the left, she slashed at its neck with her sword.

Lhayav flew towards the Mauler and lifted her sword, ready to strike at the beast, however, she was not fast enough to strike before the Mauler lifted both his Maul's and tried to bash Lhayav down to the ground with both hammers!

Now aware of the Mauler's speed, Lhayav saw no chances in trying to fly away, so she dodged a bit to the side to avoid at least the other hammer and brought her sword before her to block the other.

Lhayav tried to fly away from the Mauler but as she rose, the giant hammer surprised her by coming from above. Lhayav was crushed into the ground after getting to be some 6 feet up in the air, taking 18 damage. The Mauler looked at Lhayav lying unconcious in a depression of crushed stone tiles and considered a second blow would not be necessary.

Al'tul's turn! -

"Hmmm..." Al'tul judged the force of the blow dealt to his ally. Even his bulky exterior would not be able to take a hit like that, but his tactics would need to be flawless to win this fight. "Damned lizard, I accept your challenge." he mocked, moving forward to H10 while lifting his hands and casting entangle to entrap the monster before a coming onslaught of flail barrage.

Suddenly, vines sprung from the group, trapping the Lizard Mauler and pushing it down to the ground as the beast struggled to get free!

Al'tul's turn! -

Al'tul walked up just out of range to H13, in case the lizard should free itself enough to strike. Dropping the end of his heavy flail to the floor, the Terran gripped the hilt and began swinging the massive weapon up over his head. If this battle managed to go his way, it would be quick and decisive. With a heavy strike from the safe distance, he lashed at the pinned monster with his heavy flail.

The heavy flail swung by the Mauler's head as the lizard somehow managed to free his left arm and deflect the spiked head of the flail!

Al'tul's turn! -

"Clever" Al'tul replied with a raised eyebrow. "Pointless to resist, yield." he said, noticing that the Mauler was still not completely freed from the entangling. Not waiting for an answer, Al'tul gave a second lashing onto the stubborn monster.

The flail flew towards the Mauler, this time managing to strike its right shoulder, dealing 8 damage!

Al'tul's turn! -

"Pointless resistance." Al'tul grunted as he whipped his heavy flail over the Mauler once again. The creature was quite entrapped and would be for a while longer apparently. The battle seemed to be moving into the corrupted Terran's favor, but Al'tul remained ever vigilant until the battle was truly over.

Once more, the flail struck the giant crocodile, but it failed to deal damage through the lizard's arm guard!

Al'tul's turn! -

Al'tul's eyebrow twitched with annoyance and he lashed his heavy flail across the crocodile's face. It's resiliance was annoying, particularly since the entanglement was beginning to let up.

With a powerful bash, Al'tul's flail struck the side of the Lizardman's jaw, the powerful hit opened several wounds on the Mauler's skin due to the spiked head of the flail, dealing 8 damage!

Al'tul's turn! -

With a heavy sigh as the entanglement broke, Al'tul cast it once again on the mauler to trap it to the ground. The corrupted Terran was beginning to bore, and with an uninterested but no less heavy swing, he lashed his flail against the monster yet again.

Once the lizard was safely restrained once more, Al'tul proceded with his bashing, this time stricking the creature's left arm, not as strongly as he would've wished though, and dealing 3 damage!

Al'tul's turn! -

"My my, you are a stubborn pain." Al'tul sneered, and with a much greater interest in causing the mauler pain he spun around once to gather momentum and struck the crocodilian again.

Al'tul smashed the lizard again with his flail, but much to hissurprise, the lizardman grinned and caught the incoming attack with its teeth!

Al'tul's turn! -

An irritated grunt rumbled out of the corrupt Terran's chest, lashing back at the Mauler once again. Al'tul realized that though his weapon was powerful, he may have slight problems in winning this battle unless luck managed to smile upon him.

Al'tul pulled his weapon away from the Lizard mauler and striked at the exact same spot again to catch him off guard, this time, the spiked head struck the Mauler's muzzle, dealing 12 damage!

Al'tul's turn! -

Continuing his strikes, Al'tul made the most use of the time he had left on his pinned foe and spun around to strike downwardly with great force at the Mauler for a killing blow.

This time the attack almost cracked the Mauler's skull, tossing its head downwards and dealing 9 damage!

Al'tul's turn! -

Al'tul slung back his flail in order to gain momentum from spinning it around once again. With a heavy grunt, the corrupted terran lashed at the mauler once again. He had few chances left to secure victory at this point.

With a final strike, Al'tul crushed the skull of the already weakened lizard, killing it immediately!

Battle has ended!
Al'tul earns 960 XP!
Lhayav earns 480 XP!
Al'tul leveled up!
Lhayav levled up!

Al'tul brushed his rocky, callous hands and patted the mauler on it's crushed cranium. "Giving up would have been much easier on you." he said in a deep tone and then wandered off with his hooves plodding against the ground. The corrupted terran went to check on Lhayav, particularly since she did not have much of luck at first strike. He looked at the Eolan and sighed, she did rush in to attack rather swiftly, but that was usually the difference in combat styles between their two races he figured. "You really should be more careful, though it was a valiant effort." he said, offering a hand to Lhayav in order to help her up.

Awakening, Lhayav stirred and found herself lying on the ground once again. She took Al'tul's hand and carefully rose to her feet, thinking what he said. "Yes, I've had... crushing evidence to support that... I had no idea it could hit so hard," she admitted, feeling ashamed for rushing ahead before Al'tul got around tying up the creature. "Thank you for the matches. Though, I think I'll go to the temple now. Do you want to fight again later?"

"I have nothing else to do at the moment. Would you mind if I accompany you to this temple? I've run quite dry on mana in that last match." Al'tul replied, rubbing his neck after Lhayav regained her footing. The terran took a moment to translate the 'fight' she mentioned, but had trouble and asked another question, "Fight each other or again in the circus maximus?"

"No, I don't mind," Lhayav smiled. She thought for a while about the fight but ended up counter-asking while leaving to the Colosseum: "Which one do you prefer?"

"Circus Maximus." Al'tul replied while following Lhayav out into the colosseum, but he added a final note in sarcasm, "You're too quick for me."

Baaing, Frammie ran after Lhayav.

Walking into the arena, Kirh'il looked around for the referee as he waited for his opponent to show up.
