Welcome to Cooking With Dela, I'm your hostess and food fanatic [Delladreing] ;)

This idea came to light after I posted a recipe in my diary for "Banoffee Pie" with what I hoped to be easy to follow instructions and helpful photos. The recipe became known as Dela's Banoffee Pie in 30 Photos and proved to be successful with the people that read my diary. It was also brought to my attention the number of people on my relation that cannot cook :p
A lot of people messages me to say that they were surprised how easy it looked and would I be willing to do anymore recipes. So here we have it. I will try to do atleast one recipe per month with photos. I am not expecting this to be hugely popular like all my other things, as there will be a distinct lack of bitching and sarcasm ;)

That aside, I hope you like what I put up and I hope you have fun making them :)

2006-08-28 [Rondel]: *grin* This is a neat development to see unfolding. Cooking is a fun thing, and good to get people involved with. :D I just got to do something very satifying on that count: I invented a recipe for spice cake (I didn't quite like any of the ones I could find), for my birthday cake, and it came out really well and yummy! :D It's brutalizing my "diet" of course, because I refuse to skimp and use low-cal ingredients in a birthday cake, which should be rich and lush and self-indulgent, but it's so worth it! *grins* There's a piece sitting next to me now, waiting for me to finish the rest of my meals today. (It's my second, I ate the first one first, before the rest of my lunch. LOL As the saying goes, "Life is short -- eat dessert first!") Sharing recipes is fun!

2006-08-28 [Delladreing]: I agree completely :D if any of my friends cooked or baked I'd quite probably have bake days when we can all just sit about and eat the fruits of our labour. No such luck though.
And you are quite right, no point in scrimping for ones birthday (which btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY - I knew it was soon but not when or if it has been <.< I'm heavily reliant on ET sending me the messages that say "Its your relations birthday!")
