[stuffAEAmade] Trial 1-- Layout

(DarkArrow Trial 1)



I was going to be lazy and just do what sounded easiest, but I ended up doing 2 for each size- one that seemed easy and one that seemed difficult.


Tall and thin
I like the tower concept, but the underwater attack looks much more exciting. :D

Underwater Attack- plan out where those tentacles are going and get some refrences for both the squid and diver. Place the bubbles at more of an angle, and add some water currents. Other than that, I like the set-up.

Path to a Forgotten Tower- fix the tower and path. Adjust the clouds so they are blowing in from the sea. Move the tower to the right and the bridge to the left, and tweak the prespective to a slightly steeper angle.


Short and wide
Again, the one the sounded harder, the soldier buying fruit, turned out much better.

Soldier buying Fruit- Open the booth up more and add a bg with people and more stalls.

Mythical Creature in a Forest- Ehh. Just redo the whole thing in more than 3 minutes. More detail, find some unicorn refrences or stick some other beastie in there.


Odd
It started as a circle, but evolved into this bizzare stairway-up-to-a-warp-hole-packed-with-riches kind of deal. I like it, but the whole concept of 'spot illustration' seems to have flown out the nearest window. I still want to try a second theme for the 'odd' panel.

Fix the perspective, clean it up, and add more detail. :)
