Lambert entered into Near's compound.

"This is my stop," the blonde said, leaning forward and tossing a fifty dollar bill in the taxi driver's lap. She got out of the vehicle and looked up at the building she knew to be Near's location. Once inside, her emerald eyes shifted to Lambert, a man she did not know.

"According to my intel, you're Esthar. I assume you're here to see Near as well?" Lambert said, extending his hand.

Esthar blinked, thrown off slightly by his forward attitude. She quickly recovered with a polite smile and shook his hand. "That's right. And your name would be...?"

Near was sitting quietly on the cold floor of headquarters in front of the computers. In his hands were some toys and a few finger puppets on the ground, the same puppets he had used for the previous Kira Case that had transpired years ago. He was the same old Near with his white hair and silky clothes, no shoes on his feet exept for a pair of snow-colored socks. At the moment this investigation genious was pondering immensely on the recent news he had recieved from the Task Force three days ago, occurring to him that it was completely illogical that Light Yagami returned...was it that a new Death Note had possible made landing in Japan once again? For the time being, he had only two explanations: One being that a new "Kira" had arisen or there was a mass murderer roaming Japan notoriously...but the thoery of "mass murderer" was too unlikely. There just has to be another Kira... it's the only logical conclusion... Near thought calmly, keeping his attention to his puppets.
