Unique Terms in Death Note.
A - I
Deneuve: One of the world class detectives. He is basically L's other name :P
Death Note : A book that is used by shinigami to kill people.
Eraldo Coil: One of the world class detectives. He is basically L's other name :P
ICPO : International Crime Police Organization, who first had a conference with L to discuss the matter of Kira.
Interpol : An international intelligence agency permitting collaboration among intelligence agencies around the world. (definition from Dictionary )


J - R
Kira : Raito's nickname, derived from the word "killer" Raito finds it on sites on the internet.
L : A World Famous Detective who promises to hunt down Kira.
N : Near, he is the head of the SPK, which promises to hunt down Kira.
Mello : Near's opposite who kidnaps Raito's sister.
Rem : Misa's female Shinigami.
Ryuuku : A Shinigami that follows Raito around. He likes Apples.


S - Z
Sakura TV : The TV station where "Kira's world" airs. This T.V. station is a centerpiece for communications with Kira. It's leader Damegawa is a supporter (though corrupt).
Shinigami : Grim Reaper types who kill people with their death notes, in order to remain immortal.
Shingami Eyes : These eyes are obtainable by the shinigami of the Death Note under the owner. It allows the user to see the real name and lifespan of a person.
SPK : A USA formed group, joined by Near, that stands for "Secret Provision for Kira". It consists of agents from FBI and CIA as well.
Wammy's House : An Orphanage in Winchester, England where Near and Mello were brought up.
Watari : L's Partner. He talks to L through the computer.
