Dunsany - A Dreamer's Tales review

It's always difficult to write a review of short stories. Either you tell very little about any of the stories, or you tell far too much. I'm going to stick with telling very little.

Most of the tales in this volume have a dreamlike quality that fit quite nicely with the title of the book. The tales are primarily in fantasy of the type that inspired Lovecraft, Tolkien, and countless others. A few also have a quality of horror, such as "Blagdaross" and it's telling of a frayed piece of rope that just wants to do one more duty before it's discarded. This book is excellent reading for those evenings when you're not quite ready for bed and you're looking for a bit of reading to inspire some rather interesting dreams.
