ETHAN'S FAVE SONGS



Song's that Ethan believes to be superior to all others due to the amount of collaboration they used, and the value of the lyrical statutes emitted.

Basically, they fucking rock.

1. Doll Parts - (Hole) - written 1991 by Courtney Love for Kurt Cobain, released late 1994, the year of Cobain's death.

2. Heart-Shaped Box - (Nirvana) - written in 1993 by Cobain about the politics of his marrige with Love, released in 1994 on Nirvana's final studio album, In Utero. The song is the bands second most played song.

3. The Spy - (the Doors) - as almost of the Doors lyrics, was penned by Jim Morrison during a stay in Paris in the late 60's after reading Anias Nias novel "Spy in the House of love.

4. Light My Fire - (the Doors) - As the bands breakthrough hit from their debut album 'The Doors'

5. For Reasons Unknown - (The Killers) - Single from the band's sophmore album "Sam's Town", featured a video of the band in cameo roles in Black and White as cowboys on lawnchairs.

6. Closer - (Nine Inch Nails) - Written by NIN's Trent Reznor during his 1 year stay at the home of the Charles Manson murders to deal with his sexual and religious frustration, it was the biggest hit for the Industrial Rock era, paving the way to success for other acts including Reznor's protege Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson).

7. Lady - (Lenny Kravitz) - Kravitz second most sucsessful hit behind American Woman, off his third most sucsessful album "Baptism".

8. Sylvia's Mother - (Dr. Hook) - The New Jerseys Funk/Country lineup, Dr. Hook hit a breakthrough with this song written by Shel Silverstien during his friendship with the band's frontman.

9. Sweet Dreams - (Marilyn Manson) - One of his only song's not to include profanity, Manson re-made this song by the Eurythmics at the request of Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor in the early Nineties.

10. Tiny Dancer - (Elton John) - Released as a single with low expectations, was a surprisingly successful hit for the singer, written about his admiration of a female dancer that toured with his "Madman across the water" tour.
