Nami settled at her desk, taking a novel out of her pack. She slumped into her chair as she watched from the corner of her eye. Several of her classmates entered the room, most of them the ones she was at odds with.

"I saw a hot boy earlier," a random preppy girl said as she walked past Nami, she and her friend bursting into fits of giggles.

Her stomach fluttered as she thought about Nagi and how he'd be going to school with them, now. She fumbled her book as Nagi walked into the room with a crinkled schedule in hand. He walked past her, ruffling her hair in passing. He's really...here... she thought as she turned around to watch him settle in the seat behind her. As she blushed profusely she noticed every other girl's reaction to him.

Anka stumbled into the room with a coffee in hand. She took the seat beside Nami giving her a faint smile. "Are you okay?" she whispered.

Nami nodded, "Yeah, never been better."

"Are all girls as annoying as all of them?" Nagi asked, tapping Nami on the shoulder. She turned around and rolled her eyes at the gossip queens.

"Yes, most of the girls are annoying as hell," Nami replied as she steadied her breathing.

"Well, this means that I'm sticking with you two," Nagi said with finality.

"Don't worry. We'll save you," Anka said with a smile.

"Muwa! School!" Drake grinned as he pranced into the room. "Who missed this?" he asked the entire room as he sat beside Anka.

"Nobody but you," Anka assured him.

"Drake, you're acting weird..." Nami remarked.

"No, he only misses school because he has nothing to do while it's out," Anka clarified.

Drake frowned, "Yeah...boredom..." he sighed.

"That's why you get out and do something," Tristan said with a grin. "Ride a bike, take a swim, go to the mall..."

"But that stuff isn't invigorating," Drake argued. "Not like-"

"Football, basketball, football, hockey, track, dodgeball...yeah we know," Parle teased.

"This school really has all those teams?" Nagi blinked.

"Unofficially for the hockey and dodgeball," Nami replied. "Drake there started them and some of his jock buddies from other schools liked the idea so we actually have hockey and dodgeball teams."

"Yes, and we're always looking for new players," Drake said as he turned to Nagi.

"No thanks. Not really a bleeding nose kind of person," Nagi said as he slouched in his seat.

Nami turned to face Nagi, "Anka and I are on the team, you know."

"Really?" he asked, trying to fake disinterest.

Anka grinned, "Yeah, so you'll know us if not having friends is what you're worried about."

"Even I'm on the team," Connor cut in.

"Yeah, even Connor's on the team," Parle agreed, "And he's only good at dodging."

"Yeah, make fun of the nerds as usual," Connor stuck his tongue out.

"Boys, boys," Nami chided. "So...what do you say?" she asked Nagi.

"Couldn't hurt too bad at practice...right?" he replied slowly.

"Awesome...after school today," she said with a smile.

The room stood simultaneously as the bell rang. Drake tapped Anka shoulder, Anka turning her head to look at him. "What is it?" she asked as she gathered her things.

"What's with those two?" he asked, motioning toward Nagi and Nami.

She sighed, "Oh, that. I think they like each other."

"So they're boyfriend and girlfriend?" Drake asked.

"No, like each other as in crush, and that's if I'm right," Anka explained.

"What do you mean? You're always right, you're Anka," Drake said enthusiastically.

"True," Anka laughed.

The day passed normally enough and once classes let out for the day Anka, Nagi, and Nami headed to the gym to join the rest of the dodgeball team. "Its the first day back," Anka grinned, "Which means practice 'tournaments' in groups of three to get us back in the game."

"Groups of three, huh?" Nagi glanced at Nami out of the corners of his eyes.
