Naoko's Room
You will walk through the oak doors with the name Fort Recruit - Naoko cut into the wood. The door creaks slightly.
As soon as you walk in, there is a dresser at your right hip with a large mirror, medicines and poisons lined along it. To your right is a bed with light sheets and two small cushions for pillows.
As you step further into Naoko's room, you will see that the walls are lined with archery equipment and various trophies from Naoko's previous triumphs. She is a mercenery after all and if reward has been high enough, she has taken the mission.
A step to the left and there is a place set aside for her clothing and light armour. Step to the right and there is a panpipe, a wooden flute and a small drum, Naoko plays music when she needs to think sometimes. Perhaps she will invite you to make music with her.
Underneath a chair here, is her journal. It is filled with victories and defeats, though the victories are far greater than defeats. Also in this journal are pages of darkness, a time where Naoko didn't know the difference between victory and defeat. The memory is still a blur, she tends to avoid reading these pages.
Underneath the chair also is a spellbook, Naoko doesn't use it much, she plans to sell it for a high price. She knows that some of the spells used in the book are dangerous and quite deadly. Curses, hexes, potion recipes, most are advanced magic too, making it difficult to just.. learn.
If you stand back up and walk toward the door again, you will see Naoko standing there with a blade to your chest, "You really should have knocked..."

2006-12-07 [NthroSptn]: Naoko hooked her crossbow on it's display hook and propped her quiver against the dresser. She was exhausted after her torment from Balthazar and felt that rest was needed to help vanquish the images of Balthazar's grining face.

2006-12-07 [silent_voice]: Light seemed to fade in one of the corners of the room. An image of Balthazar appeared. His eyes glinting but showing no emotions. He walked over to the bedside and looked down at Naoko's sleeping form. His eyes narrowed and his mouth opened. "Why did you do it...." His said softly. His voice almost caressing her body. Balthazar turned away and looked out the window. He turned back to her sleeping form "Don't pretend you can't remember. You almost killed me. Almost. And now, your life is in my hands..."

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: Naoko rolled her head, she felt a... presence, "Who's there?" she asked the darkness, blinking her half sleepy eyes. She saw two small reflective surfaces looking down on her, "What do you mean, pretend I can't remember?"

2006-12-08 [silent_voice]: The form of Balthazar turned "Don't pretend you cant remember what you did to me." His head lowered and anger radiated from him.

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: "I'm not pretending..." Naoko said simply, "I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't even remember you. Did I work for you in the past or something?"

2006-12-08 [silent_voice]: Balthazar growled lightly and came back to the bedside "You did more than that." He said darkly and touched her forhead. Suddenly images of Balthazar and Naoko in bed together flashed to her mind. Pictures of everything they did and went through, then the scene changed. It was nighttime, Naoko sneaking up on Balthazar and stabbing him through the back with a shortsword, it sticking out through his chest. He looked in surprise and then everything faded. Balthazar removed his hand "Now do you remember what you have done?"

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: Naoko gasped and looked up at Balthazar's spectral form, "I didn't do that..." her lip quivered, "I can't have. I don't remember taking an assassination mission like that... and even so, I haven't failed with a single job. I would have a trophy of your defeat. Clearly you are still alive, therefore I could not have done that."

2006-12-08 [silent_voice]: Balthazar turned slightly away from her. "You did take a trophie from me. I got it back." He said turning back angrily. "I am a necromancer. I am also high enough in necromancy to become a Lycren. I can revive myself from the dead. That is why you have no trophy."

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: She rolled her eyes, "Then what's your problem? You're alive, I didn't kill you, therefore I technically did nothing."

2006-12-08 [silent_voice]: Balthazar's lip twitched "You backstabbed me Naoko. You saw the images, we were together. We were both mercinaries and you turned around and almost killed me for money. FOR MONEY!" He growled.

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: "I would do anything for money, Balthazar." Naoko said indifferently, "You of all people should know that."
She rolled back over and pulled the blankets over herself, "After all, you payed me for that night too.."

2006-12-08 [silent_voice]: Balthazar's lip twitched again "And who was doing the paying in the end? Thats right, you." He said and his presence faded to nothing, the last to dissapear being his eyes.

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: Naoko shuddered as a cold wind blew through her window. She wanted so much to have forgotton that night, though it was one of the best of her life, it was also the worst. What Balthazar didn't know was that Naoko had to be threatened and payed a high bounty for Balthazar's head. As soon as it had happened, her soul felt heavy, now that he was alive, she didn't know what to feel.

2006-12-08 [silent_voice]: The next morning there was a bashing at her door, Thump thump thump. A big heavy hand hit her door again, Og's voice called out "Oi, time ta get up!"

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: Naoko twitched awake, then sat bolt upright, "Be right out.." she said sleepily, rubbing her eyes. She braided her hair and picked up her crossbow and a shortsword, flinching as the memory returned again. She shook it off and pushed the door open, there was Og ready to bash the door again.

2006-12-08 [NthroSptn]: Naoko trudged back into her den and closed the door behind her. She leaned against the door, muttering, "Forgiveness... will not come... it will only be held back and ground into the stone floor." she tossed aside her weapons, not bothering to prop them correctly, and took a moment to feel her wounds again. The cut was deep, but it would heal overnight.
She wrapped the wound closed and looked longingly out of the window, then cursed, she couldn't take it anymore. She had to talk to Balthazar.
