Poem's Title:Both sides
Poem:
I can see both sides
I can sense both tides
How could any love be wrong?
But its what I have been taught for so long
Gay marriage isn't fair, it isn't right
For families and so they fight
Back and forth
South and north
They argue and struggle not getting anywhere
The fighting and hurting is what's not fair
I don't know what to think
There isn't a missing link
I can see both sides
I can sense both tides
How can you ask me to decide?

Poem:
Minds changed, and bridges burned.
Souls ravaged, and tables turned.
Happy memories fade to dust.
There is no love, only lust.
Blackened hearts kill one more.
A drop of blood falls to the floor.
Claymore blades pierce through skin.
Little boys become men with sin.
A little girl turned to a whore.
Another man beats down her door.
Minds altered, lives destroyed.
Another soul lost to the void.
A heart is broken, the body dies.
Another victim of soft spoken lies.
Poison injected. Darkness creeps.
Another mother softly weeps.
The body falls, lesson learned.
All of life is torched and burned.

Poem's Title: Back from Nightmare-land
Poem:
I've been away for just too long:
I can't even recall your face,
My arms are empty of your embrace,
My lips are lost without a song.
I can't remember where I've been,
A place of desert-land and stone,
A place of empty flesh and bone,
A Nightmare-land it would have seemed!
Now I'm back- did I survive,
or still I'm there, and my mind flies,
I stare around with empty eyes,
the soul long dead, the mind alive.
But I do know it is all true:
The Nightmare-land is far behind,
For I have seen one of a kind:
I came alive when I saw you!

Poem's Title: The Son
Poem:
Flower
A ring of fire
White ribbon
Laced in a fern
A droplet of water
Caught in the hat of an acorn
A child grins greedily
Water brought in
It will be sweet for the nectar it spent the night with
It will be smoky for the night was chilly
Messy red haired boy
Runs for his mother
Offering up the acorn of water
He is proud to be the supplier
Of water to his young mother
And equeally red haired siblings
Three sisters in a row
Blanketed by thimbleberry quilt
Bedded by mattress of moss
Four brothers in a heap
Their quilt in shambles at their feet
But the matress durable and strong has kept
Big sister baby in her arms
Mama next to pa
Waking to the morn
Around a tiny fire
Beneath a sheltering flower
Awaiting sweet morning dew
Resting in an acorn's hat
Carried by brother's tiny arms
Proud he feels standing tall
Providing mornings meal

Poem's Title: Angel Wings
Poem:
Countless times I have tried
To impress you with my bravery
But still you don't seem so kind To reward me with what I really need
I have fought many battles for an angel young like me
I have saved many prophets from their own obscurity
Many times I perished but merely managed to hold on
And every time I've come back again to your throne to proof I'm strong
All angels get their wings
I still pray for mine
Waiting for the day when trumpets sing
And you won't recline All angels get their wings
When proven they are pure
Tell me, what can I do to convince you my heart is poison's cure?
Sleepless nights I have wondered
Maybe it's that I'm simply too young, but You know I am even stronger than the others
A lion's passion and unicorn's love flow freely in me But still it's not enough and wingless I see another dusk go down I'm drowning in the morning sorrow and want to turn around But as I try to move I notice I've got stuck Like in a silver spider's web of death I admit my pride's run off
All angels get their wings
I still pray for mine
Waiting for the day when trumpets sing
And you won't recline All angels get their wings
When proven they are pure
Tell me, what can I do to convince you my heart is poison's cure?
I have fought many battles for an angel young like me
I have saved many prophets from their own obscurity
Many times I perished but merely managed to hold on
And every time I've come back again to your throne to proof I'm strong What more can I do? And I will act now
Who more can I face? I'll take them on now What must I bring back? I'll catch the moon out of the sky If you can return my pride
All angels get their wings
I still pray for mine
Waiting for the day when trumpets sing
And you won't recline All angels get their wings
When proven they are pure
Tell me, what can I do to convince you my heart is poison's cure?
I know that you know
It won't be long before I'll take flight I know that you hope
I'll be safe in the midnight light I know you are proud of me
I see your secret smile
But you can't let your fear get in the way Of letting me be free to fly...
