Poem's Title: Mama what's love?
Poem:
Mama what's love? The little child would ask
not now dear, I'm busy, go ask your father
Dad what's love? The child would ask again
But unlike the mother the father just looked away
Through the years this phase would teach
this small child that the world turns away
that the love of which he spoke of had no existance
that it couldn't posibly be true
and so he waited
and waited..
until..
One day this child grew into his teens
without a father who had left him
and a mother who just didn't care
this boy thought to himself
"Am I the one to define how I think
to judge how I feel
yes
and from no one else shall it come."
Years more go by and the child grows
out of his childhood
into adulthood abode
but then he meets this girl
and no ordinary girl
but the one to whom he should be wed
And so one child who gained another
let forth another light
as he whispers to his child
"I love you"
then the child began to ask
as years before returned
"Dad, what's love?"
and the now old man
eyes shedding tears
would say..
"You."

Poem's Title: wish
Poem:
Wishful thought arose
It brushed me upon the cheek
Thinking of a song
It sung out into the night
longing to be a duet.

Poem's Title: Child of Darkness
Poem:
Cloaked in black,
She sails the night.
A prisoner of death,
Prepared to take her final flight.
A flight into the unknown,
A universe of awe.
No way to erase it,
The horror that she saw.
A child of death,
She always was.
“Why do you live in death?”
They ask.
Her only answer is, “Because.”

Poem's Title: The Stunning Realization That There Is No Such Thing As Silence
Poem:
Rape and murder. I'm still sleeping.
Robberies, abuse, father's leaving
for a while (he won't be back)
My eyes are closed, I'm on my back
A shock to the mind as I'm awake
I offer thoughts for unfortunate's sake
But in our day and age, there's always
a way to make the negative stay
Why can't there be SILENCE!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't stand this noise
it fills my ears
Makes me feel alive
But still I want to die
Because it's just not fair
That I can't be there
Now, it must seem like a great thing
Taking the homeless off the streets
Off to chamber, needle or the chair
Policy's the bleach, it burns as we stare
Sometimes when I sit down, I'm not sure
All I know is I just need to write more
Even though my thoughts will never become
I'm only realistic, and they're all just numb
So, not for me, but for them, a few words
a toast, a moment of silence.

Poem's Title: Spider
Poem:
A glistening black claw
Hangs trapped amongst the trees.
Azriel. Lord of the flies.
Who silken wings ensure
The world stays at its knees,
Reflected in two black eyes.
Shimmering white on green,
A thing within its cage.
Curled fingers now are seen
That twitch and writhe and rage.
Soon nothing will have been
But a frog in a see-through cage.
