Galaxy Stadium
Nearly a century old, the Galaxy Stadium is one of the greatest combat arenas known.
Originally made by a successful smuggling corporation to settle scores, challenge for rank, and for sheer entertainment, it was made official by a private group who changed it to an entertainment stadium where champions came to prove their mettle in mortal combat.
The prosperous arena now had the option of adjusting gravity levels, and features to suit both ship battles, and gun combat.
Terrandis entered the arena, stopping to lean against the stands. He stood waiting for a worthy challenger.
Nagin jumped from the stands and walks over to the lite. "Up for a fight, or are you just going to sit there and stare out into space."
Been waiting for an opponent, sure took long enough. Terrandis approached the newcomer. Getting straight to the point, he asked,
So what type of combat would you prefer?
Rolling his shoulders he stated, "Well, seeing as I didn't bring my ship with me, anything that doesn't involve ships. Besides that I have no preferences."
Do you fight with any melee weapons? Terrandis inquired.
Nagin grinned; he decided he liked this guy, got straight to the point. He tapped the sheath on his waist. "You know it."
Then let the match begin! Terrandis extended his blades from the gloves attatched to his hands, and waited in a defensive stance.
Nagin strode over, then with the suddenness of lightning the metal blade came out of its sheath and went directly for Terrandis' face.
Pulling back away from the blade, Terrandis barely managed to get away from the attack. Noting his opponent's speed, he experimentally threw a stab at Nagin's side, holding the other blade back for defense.
Nagin jumped away from the blade as it came at him then smacked it down forcefully with his own blade. Stepping into a thrust he shoved the thin blade at Terrandis.
His blade being rendered temporarily useless by Nagin's counterattack, Terrandis relied on his other sword to block the incoming attack. Just letting the sword glance off his own, reangling its path, he stepped to the opposite side of the direction of his opponent's blade. Recovering the use of his other weapon, he struck at Nagin from low.
Nagin let his blade go and side flipped over the blow thrown by Terrandis, though the blade traced a thin slice across his hip. Landing, he spun around Terrandis' back and came around in a crouch and caught his sword just before it hit the ground. He did all this in one fluid movement and brought his blade horizontally at Terrandis' leg.
Leaping in the air to avoid the blade with the help of the strength enhancing boots, Terrandis continued forwards to come at Nagin from above, holding both swords infront of him.
A leap to his left took Nagin out of range of the blades. He moved back in on Terrandis and with a flick of his wrist his blade was heading to collision with Terrandis' own.
Terrandis knocked away the blade with force, however the counterattack disturbing his landing. Skidding on the ground to kill some momentum, he swerved to face Nagin with a direct cut.
Nagin's quick sword saved him from injury. Instead of blocking he attacked back. Two diagonal slashes came, one used to knock away Terrandis', the other coming back down for a blow.
Terrandis matched both slashes sword for sword, alternating blades. Being forced to slightly retreat, he sent a last thrust at his opponent.
The last attack made him lower his blade to parry. The blow jarred his hand and a slip caused Terrandis’ sword to slide up his weapon cutting into his arm. Wincing away the pain he took up a defensive position.
Having scored a point, Terrandis, too, fell back slightly.
An quick stab came at Terrandis aimed at his chest then another at his side.
Terrandis parried away the first attack, however the second left a gash in his side. Automatically in reaction, his "skin tone" flared from an indigo to a vibrant red before fading back to its original color. An odd-looking clear fluid dripped from the wound as the lite reflexively distanced himself again.
Nagin stifled his shock at the sudden change of color, his mouth hanging open for a few seconds before he realized that he was gapping, and watched in amazement as Terrandis ebbed back to his natural color. Nagin had always been fascinated by things new to him, and this discovery that lites could change color was no different. Moving in on the wounded lite he prepared to counter an attack if one came, though his gaze was attracted to the clear liquid, then he attacked high and hard.
Parrying away the blow, Terrandis immediately moved in with a quick sidecut with his other blade. He made no notice of the human's apparant fascination.
