2012-08-19 [Triola]: Well, in the Graceling book there was talk of Graces that made people see the future, so I suppose they could be quite strong, but personally I find it more interesting if it's not like overboard all-powerful superhero style. What were you thinking about?

2012-08-19 [Eyelash-Wishes]: well I was thinking if the twins had heightened senses, like one have eyesight and hearing and the other have smell and touch, something like that so when together it was basically impossible to sneak up or spy on them. Thats what i'm thinking so far..any thoughts? They'd also have trained in fighting so when they work together they're pretty tough to beat

2012-08-19 [Triola]: Sounds good :) although, to be honest, if I were you and felt like being kind to my characters, I'd drop smell and touch and just do hearing for one and eyesight for the other. Imagine having heightened smell in a Medieval-style world where regular people didn't have the possibility of bathing very often and where human waste was often just thrown out a window out back. Or having heightened touch where even touching something normally smooth would probably feel rough, and you could never wear wool or any kind of material like that because it would probably hurt. I mean, if you still want to cover all the senses, go for it, but I'm just saying I'd personally hate having those two senses heightened :P
