Hamlet; Shakespeare review
Ophelia was my favorite in this classic Shakespearian work. Her inner struggles between her love for her father and her love for Hamlet was interesting to see unfold, and in the end the struggle between the two and the fact that one love (Hamlet) killed the other (her father) finally drove her insane, although what I think is that Ophelia went crazier still for the fact that Hamlet abandoned her.
This play shows the struggles between loyalty to family and how easily it can be broken and also how hard it is to break.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this as in comparison to some other Shakesperian plays I've read over the years.
This is a great work of Shakespeare's, much better than
Romeo and Juliet. The characters are deep and there are several revenge plots twisting amongst one another as the story unfolds.
