Inkah Stretkensen
User Name: [
Chimes]
Character Name: Inkah Stretkensen.
Class: Dragoon.
Secondary Skills(x3): Last Stand, Repair, Siege Engineer.
Gender: Female.
Age: 24.
General Appearance: With long rust coloured hair and olive skin, Inkah doesn't look particularly fierce. However, her darker than average brown eyes (both flecked with a lighter, tawny brown) are enough to show that she means business. She is of average height, standing at around 5'6/7" and her body is well toned but not without its imperfections. Due to rigorous, but sometimes careless, training from an early age she has several nicks on her skin. The most notable of these are: one at the top of her left ear, which takes the form of a small triangular gap; two small lines coming from her top lip on the right hand side; from the base of the little finger on her right hand to her wrist; and several painting all of her fingers. These scars count as lessons learned.
Her armour, though allowing for movement, is heavy-looking. Plates jut off her shoulders and her neck-plates come up under her helm. The helm itself bears two twisted horns and a mane-like line of tail hairs from her horse, Hren. It's front looks almost like a metal masquerade mask with angular eye holes and intricate details, it comes down to a point near the end of her nose and covers a large portion of her cheeks. Her mouth is left uncovered. Her torso is covered for the most part and decorated in the same way style as her helm; a slit, the width of the tip of her chin, is left open until it reaches the fastenings of her shoulder-plate
s and beneath those a small oval of skin is left to show. Coming from the bottom of the torso of her armour is a soft gauze-like material, hanging from it like a tattered skirt. On her knuckles she has a row of small spikes to match the horns on her helm. Hren has a matching horns on his own helm-like armour.
When not in the throes of battle her attire isn't too different. Her clothing uses a lot of leather and metal plating, normally brass; the metal doesn't tend to be strong enough to withstand many blows. She always has her neck covered and normally wears a slightly battered imperial-looking overcoat.
Personality: Inkah is fiercely protective and forms tight bonds very quickly, perhaps even naively, and sometimes without anyone knowing. She tends to feel more for others than for herself, seeing herself as a vessel if protection for those of importance. However, she would not hold any being in higher regard than her horse. She's quick to anger and hard to satisfy; some believe that because she spends so much times on a horse she sees herself higher than others. She is normally quite serious, oftentimes silent, and doesn't show her softer side to anyone but Hren, with whom her relationship is tender and even playful.
History: Born in the town of Llonrhar, nestled in the middle of Ajaa, Inkah grew up with her father and her two older brothers after her mother left them to pursue a life of solitude at one of the temples. Inkah did not understand why and grew to despise her mother and the fact that she looked so much like her (even from a young age she could see the hurt in her normally regimental, stern father's eyes each time he looked at her ). Three years later, when she was thirteen, she got into her father's weapon cabinet and cut off all of her hair in an attempt to make herself more like a boy so she wouldn't hurt her father so much. Her brothers laughed at her, telling her how stupid she looked and that she was still just a helpless little girl. When he found out, her father punished her insolence. However, he understood her need to differ from her mother and took her to a friend, an old man who was once a dragoon warrior. From that day forward she was put under his tutelage and trained. When she was nineteen and of acceptable skill her father and mentor gave her a young, red roan stallion, Hren (hoar-ren), who has been her closest companion ever since. She still bears resentment for her mother but it has dulled over the years, resulting in no more rash decisions to alter her appearance. Though content with her life, she often wonders if there's something more.
Worshipped God/Goddess: Bysaelruma.
Other: Though she doesn't like to think about it, she always has a lock of her mother's hair in a home-made locket beneath her clothes and a bundle of unopened letters stays in Hren's saddle bag.
