Here's what's happening!
Baaasically, Jason and Ein are hunting after the same target, but not necessarily working together, at first that is! We'll cross that bridge when we get there, but they're after a powerful gifted, he's crossed Ein more than once in his diabolical schemes, and he's gotten tired of it, while someone else has put a price on his head for Jason to hunt him down. GO!

The full moon provided the only light that evening in the distorted countryside. He moved swiftly through the trees, his breaths coming long and even. His footfalls matched the excited thrumming of his heart as he allowed his gift to mask his presence. If he was being followed, they would have to rely on normal tracking skills and not special ones. As such he left as little visible evidence of his passage.

Staggering through what looked vaguely like trees, Jason had taken full advantage of his new found freedom and decided to drink himself stupid for the first time since he was first brought to the CCYA. He had in his hand an empty beer bottle, he lifted it clumsily to his face, missing his mouth completely. Squinting intently at the base of the bottle, Jason noticed that it was empty. He chucked the bottle to the side and belched loudly. That guy at the bar, the man who had bought him all those drinks, he had asked something of Jason. Killing some kid, he wasn't really paying attention. Jason sat down hard on the ground and leaned back on his hands. He gazed at the full moon, watching its edges ripple in his drunken haze. He hiccuped and burped again, drool gliding down from his mouth and to his chin. He tried to remember the conversation again, his mind spinning. He rolled over onto all fours and, lurching violently, began to vomit up his liquid dinner. He felt his sinuses burn as the froth from the beer came back up. The stench was putrid; beer mixed with bile and, oddly enough, it seemed smell vaguely like chili cheese fries. He groaned and fell face first into the puddle of puke.

Ein breezed along through the foliage, it moving with a will of it's own out of his way as he passed. The wind had picked up, howling through the trees with a vengeance, the moon provided all the light he could possibly need, this was going to be fun. The only thing that was bothering him, what the hell was that sound? He froze in midstep, covered gaze scanning the area to try and find the culprit. He knew his target was too far away for it to have been him, so what on earth was that? A frog maybe? Some dying animal, he didn't put much more thought into it before he was on the hunt again, pushing the eerie thoughts to the back of his mind as he moved along with the task at hand.

"Ugh..." After a few minutes of laying in the puke, Jason managed to get out that one guttural burp of a sound. His eyes opened as he slowly lifted himself up onto his elbows. He saw the puke beneath him and he rolled over quickly in surprise. It had been so long since he actually threw up he forgot what it looked like...and the smell. He sat up, waving back and forth. He tried to spit out the taste but ended up just drooling again. He wiped some of the puke off of his face with his bare arm, then his arm onto his neon orange shirt. This was the standard prison garb, neon orange shirt and matching pants, no pockets, no belt. Nothing but a serial number printed on his chest, and on his shoulder the matching number, still scabbing from when he had carved it on that ship. It was only now that Jason realized that he had somehow lost his shoes. He clumsily got to his feet and spit again, this time actually managing to get it past his body and into the grass. He smelt the air, but could only smell his vomit. He started staggering away from the smell and down the slight incline of the hill. He saw some lights not too far ahead. Suddenly he grinned so wide almost all of his vomit stained teeth visible. He was hungry. He cracked his neck and wiped his hand on his shirt once more. He looked at his hands as he walked, still amazed to see them, even in the dim light. Years in strait jackets made using them so foreign, even still in his newly found freedom.

There it was again! Ein's features contorted themselves into a frown as he looked around. Somehow, he'd managed to get closer to it, getting a basic direction of where the noise had come from, and decided to head towards it. On light feet he moved quickly, not taking time to hide his trail, instead, just not making one as he passed effortless through the forest. He would find the one distracting him, and what ever it was, would pay the price of making him lose his mark...

The lights were growing larger as they grew closer, the Cheshire cat grin never leaving his face. The grass felt cool and slightly damp on his bare feet, it was amazing. Only now was Jason truly realizing that he was on the outside. He no longer felt ill and his drunken state was rapidly vanishing under this sobering realization. He looked up at the sky, the stars and the wondrous moon. It had been so very long, and what an amazing difference from a concrete molding ceiling that was a scant few foot taller then himself. His feet paused for a second as he stared upwards and, just for the sheer joy of it, Jason leap as high as he could into the air. His arms outstretched he cleared the ground with ease, his powerful legs having built up their muscle and strength from not being able to use his arms. He landed back on the ground with a soft thud, his toes grabbing tightly onto the wonderfully soft grass. Arm stretched out to his sides, Jason began to spin in circles and laugh loudly, his voice echoing into the distance. He finally collapsed onto the grass and started rolling around like a dog, his all too manic laughter never ceasing.

The man paused in his run, the manic hoot of laughter startling him momentarily. There was someone near, a scant few hundred yards behind him and to his left. As he stopped his breath hitched and he was forced to take a moment to just breathe and be silent. If the one laughing was one of his pursuers then he had to get moving again. soundlessly he took off once more into the trees.

Finally the laughter calmed. The mad-man just lie there in the grass, his manic grin still present. He smelt the air again, his enhanced senses catching the slightest whiff of another person on the breeze. He looked around him, his face still caressing the grass, afraid that if he lifted it it would go away forever, for the person in question. The full moon's light is what finally allowed him to see his new companion. His intoxication dissipated, the ability of regeneration being responsible for that, he was able to hear the heavy breathing. Jason rolled over onto his belly and hefted himself up with a surprising grace. He stood, his toes grasping at the cool grass once more, but for another reason. He did it now the the earth beneath him did not shift, for, in an instant, he was off. Moving like a gazelle through the savanna toward this new person ahead of him whom he did not know, nor remember being paid in booze, to kill.

Ein glanced up at the dark figure coming towards him, a wicked grin gracing his features. With a slight of hand, a torrent of earth tore towards the assailant, leaving a trench in its wake. After the dust settled, emotionless eyes peered into the darkness, hands falling at sides, and grin still held firmly in place. "Who are you?" He called out, eyes not falling immediately on his perceived target. He could have fallen with the simple blow, or he could have moved to strike again, Ein simply did not know, thus he left his guard up, ready to strike at anything that moved around him.
