Ketsuri Rp Room Descriptions:
Telpurion:
Ecthelion is the chief city of Telpurion. Once the pinacal of High elf archetecture, design, and creativity Ecthelion has fallen into ruin with various factions now fighting each other in the once fair streets. Ecthelion is the only city left to survive Ullari's initial war, though this left most of the city in ruins. Subsiquent fighting by petty warlords, and former generals has left the city scarred beyound recognition.
The Forests of Telpurion are a dangerous place, the side facing Ecthelion is home to the foul Dark elves, wretched beings who dabble in the dark arts, and delight in the suffering of their victims. This part of the wood has many roads, beware though for many of these roads have their ends in Dark elf covens and woe be the unwary traveler that falls into such a hell hole. Beyound this foul wood their lies a baren ash land. This place is the no man's land, pocked and scared by massive duals and sun bleached skeletons. The far side of the grey plain rises the giant trees that mark the beginings of the wood elf kingdom, the last stable country in perhaps the world.
The Palace of Thorns, is simply huge, four buildings, conjoined in the center by a fith with a massive glass dome, said to reflect the light in such a way that you at once could not distinguish any color, yet see every color as the dominant. It is the only major building left intact. The Halls however are silent now. Ever since Lomien did battle with the council, and was left with little chioce than to strike them down, and there where many of them. Many of the these unfortunates where not victims of Lomien's abilities, rather Gurthangs unforgiving bite. It is these souless beings that now guard the palace. To tred the palace unbiden by it's custodians, is a chioce few live to regret.
A city in itself, the
Telleri Port is the largest of the coastal cities of Telpurion. It is a city of white stone, sourounded by a towering white wall with sail like battlments. The port was spared Ullari's assault, suffering a breach only in the south wall before Ullari secured a landing in Arda. Once this was done the port of Telleri was left alone. That breach however is now the reason why Telleri is a haunted city. After Ullari left a Minotuar legion attacked, ravaging most of the seaward side of the city before they where defeated and driven off. Now all manner of creatures dwell here, including a large High elf remnant. The city on the southern side is a charred and burned ruin, for every time it is attacked it happens here, where the breach in the wall occured. The central and northern side of the city still resemble the city in its' glory days, stone mansions, elegant gardens, however most are deserted as few live here now.
Dagorlad is a quiet windswept plain between Ecthelion and Telleri. Several small villages and a tree line that once served as the border between the two great cities are what breaks the horizon on this golden plain. It is here that the largest battle fought between the High elves of Telleri, and Ullari's dark army occured. To this day the land bears the scars of that battle, broked spears, armour that has been picked clean by animals, and bleached white bones mark the places where the battle raged. The villages are inhabited...th
ose that have not fallen to the deprications of Werewolves of Vampires. The forest line is one of the few things green that stand out upon the plain. None where buried after that bitter battle, for there was no time, nor did Ullari care to waste his time with such a thing. The name "Dagorlad" means battle plain, though not always known as such the name was given after the Battle between Ullari's army and the city of Telleri.</i>
Eldamar
The First Level of Eldamar, at the behest of Lomien, is given over entirely to the active theatre of opperations of the Alliance. Consisting of a high curtain wall, and strong gate house as well as several weapons forges store houses, and numerous bunk houses containing the soldiers of the alliance.
Secound level, overrun by refugees, and despair. Secound level however still houses close to three hundred alliance troops as there are few who escaped Ullari's onslought in the coastal cities and kingdoms. Secound level is protected by a curtain wall, except this wall houses the counter seige engines, numerouse balistas and trebuchets can bee seen along the secound wall, which sits high enough above the fist level as to be safe from enemy seige engines, somthing that makes Eldamar as formidable fortress.
A towering castle, the Citadel Battlements can be seen for miles around, though unlike the rest of Eldamar which is made of white stone, the citadel is made of solid black marble, somthing a courtesy of a lengendary earth weilding clan long ago destroyed by an evil more sinister than Ullari. The protection afforded by the citadel is unlike any other. Weapons store houses and garrison bunk rooms are the dominant factor on the plain's side of the citadel, with Nobel, and royal housing securly in the back.
The Eldamar Training Grounds and Stables house the raw recruits, and horses, and as such are often quite noisome and often very busy. Lomien, when he is not dodging the guards to get out of the city, or not spending time with his wife, will often be found here. Training the new recruits in honing their abilities. The grounds consite of a large feild with carved, stone stables at the entrance housing the majority of the Alliances war horses and chariots.
The East wing is small, and home to Lomien and his wife Ninquelótë. It is also the location of a small "hospital clinic" reserved for Lomien, his wife, and those Lomien allows to use it.
The Eldamar Water System consists of a network of small drain tunnels that empties into one large drain emptying outside the gate house. used by the water wells and anything thing else that requires the use of a water drain. Lomien carved out a hidden store house, where he keeps things that he does not wish to be tampered with. The entire system is patroled by a set of ten custodes, who unlike their brethren in the Palace of Thorns are able to comunicate with the living and the dead, a unique asset that Lomien has appreciated, as this means that colateral damage is unlikely whilst his store house and the tunnels are protected. Lomien is quite fond of the water system as it provides an excellent means for evading when he wishes to venture out beyound the walls.
Arda
El'Arafa, once a prominent border city on the fringes of the ancient Telpurion empire. At that time it was known as Novrogrod. That was before the undoing of Telpurion's hold, and before the first coming of the Deamonic hordes en mass. Now it is a burned out husk. No one lives here, save for maybe the occasional Deamon. The city is given a wide birth by even the Dark elves for it is known to be ground zero for incursions of any scale.
The Border Forts are the only place where near constant skirmishing occurs, and is the most common place for the two sides to clash. There are three main forts; the northern, central, and southern, each with a town behind it, and each key to a breakthrough in it's prespective reagion.
The small town of Tervel is the only completely neutral port town. It is Lomien's favorite place from which to sail to Telpurion.
Dark Army Camp
Within Ullari's red Command Tent sits a wooden meeting table large enough to seat Ullari's captains, at the end of the table is a high-backed chair for Ullari himself. Along the sides of the tent stand smaller tables with maps and reports spread out over them.
Telmar, or what's left of it, was once a magnifficent central port of trade between Arda and Telpurion. Telmar fell to Ullari's army after a seige that lasted well over a year. In that time much of the city was ruined, and most of the inhabitants killed or driven off. Telmar is a city of stone, with stone harbours housing Ullari's navy, and a great central fortress that is now all but destroyed. The streets of Telmar are filled with the bustle of Ullari's army, many of whome take up residence in the burned out huskes os former homes and storhouses. Telmar is the sister city to Eldamar, both once rulled by a single kingdom though they be a great distance from each other. The Empire that rulled Telmar is now all but destroyed, with most of it's soldiers either dead of serving Ullari's army.
The Mess Hall, is a conglomerate of buildings. To the left is the burned out remains of the governors palace beneath which now is dug a huge pit for fires. In the center are many rows of tables and long benches. To the right the smell of slaughtered animals and food being prepared. The mess hall is built to house thousands, and the decaying buildings that form it are heaviliy supported, with many tents pitched in and around the building. It is in all respects a huge bar, where fights are frequent and death will usually follow. For the occasion of festival or party Ullari had built a huge dias to which he could call his own. This is guarded by a dozen Minotuars as Ullari takes little interest in having what's his broken and taken over by the common soldier.
The Training Grounds of the Dark Army, are a scorched and barren place. Ullari insists that the training be brutal, often killing many of the recruits. This Ullari deems will weed out the weak, leaving only the strongest to survive. Thus the training grounds are often the first and last taste of just how brutal Ullari and his regime really are. The training grounds consist of a dualing pit, an archery range, as well as a range to practice and hone the recruits abilities. In each of these ranges however recruits are often pitted against one another, the survivor moving on the the next range, only when they have survived all of the ranges are they indicted into the ranks of the Dark Army.
The Wall Around the Camp is a rough, black stoned battlment encirlcing the entire camp. Ullarie will on occasion patrol the wall personally, but when not, several Dark Army units take over.
Other
Abhari's Library rests on an island miles from Arda and just in sight of ancient Telpurion there sits a vast fortress like structure. Guarding the harbor of this ancient place are seven dragons, each of whom remain perched atop a tower of their own. This is only the begining. All along the broad road leading up to the massive door way there sit one thousand heavily armored wraiths on each side stand silent guard up the beautiful road. Fountains and hanging guardens are protected by water spirits and anamils from which hold place only in legend. Inside is another story entirely. Hallway upon bedecked and ornatly festoned hallway lined with shelves stories high, containing books of the highest quality. Many of whom are now one of a kind. This is Abarhi's library. The ancient Elf built his abode for his own purposes. He guards his knowledge well, as the legion of what are known as elite custodes and free roving dragons atest. Abarhi built this place to be his permanent abode, his stables, and well tended gardens though are silent for he never taries in this paradise long. Instead he roams the world recording the history of the world, though maybe one day when he finds reason to settle down he will at last return to his ancient home.
This is the village of Ardan, located near a moutain and the City of Arda. They are humble people, who fish and hunt for their livelyhood They do not have any ties with Alliance or Dark army, resulting in a peaceful pplace, which a Crusnik, named Aiden, trys hard to mantain. However, the time has come were Aiden has left the village for now, leaving it unguarded. Leaving it up to the viligers to keep themselves safe.
Cormerant Islands - A small cluster of islands lined with small towns and ports. The largest, Cormerant is one huge city and fortress guarded and staffed by some of Ullari's most elite warriors, though they have been replaced by a full legion of recruits and conscripts for Ullari needs his men at the front.
A description of each island is provided below:
The empty island of Amon was adapted as the young clans home in its early years. Captain Amon had one of the eldest nose of the beastly kind. His thick Furr and powerful bite instilled a merciless fear in his enamies and respect from the ears that followed his howl. The Amon clan was once a large pillaging group of pirating lycanthrophobes, that preyed the islands at night in smaller organized packs. The clan held no alliance or peace for any. Although, Ullari and his dark army was a direct threat against the Amon clan, some trade was evident. The clan started targeting the vulnerable commodities that fetched the attention of Ullari traders.
Since many sunk moons beyond the ocean horizon ago this clan suffered a devastating loss. The death of their fearless leader Amon. The lack of answers as to how and why left the clan in disarray and their division was imminent. The members fought amongst themselves for the remaining plundered riches and to claim the rule over the clan. This war has affected many people and economies. With the trade gone their income quickly vanished and their kind were forced to once again hunt for food. Disbanded and divided only a small fraction of its members still brave the Amon name and remain on the island. No longer interested in trading these few only grew in anger giving rage the complete control of their howls. Their survival means raiding any and all. However not for the valuable trades they once offered, but for the thrill and blood of the hunt.
The leading nose of the clan now belongs to Rhiah the younger niece of the former Amon. After his passing she managed to grip what little power she could. The ones that braved to raze at her side and follow her spit fire attitude. These new times force her to run her small pack under much more violent arts then her uncle did. The attention they have received thus far proves she is serious in her deadly ways...
Commerant Island is the cheif population center. The entire island is one city, protected by a high rise wall. At the top there sits a huge, double level fortress. The island is the center for sea trade and a lynch pin for the majority of Dark army and Dark elf trade. The loss of the city would mean leaving entire fleets at the mercy of the fatal winter storms. There for the city is well defended, its' only weakness is the massive open port. From here it is easy to both get in and out of the island. A fact not lost on Ullari, or anyone else who would find it unpleasent for Lomien to control such a port.
The largest of the islands, Avalone is largely a farming and agricultural. There is one city, and that is at the southern port. This city is small though, roughly ten thousand people live there. It is responsible for producing a large percentage of Ullari's food that he uses as a means to purchase weapons and pay the immense forces at his disposal.
