You step outside, looking at the magnificent mansion for a while, and then head to the left, where there seems to be a couple of garage doors. Wondering how big this garage building is, you start walking around it, and as you reach the backside, you see one door halfway open. You are about to look inside, when a long shadow is cast over your head, and a gentle breeze ruffles your hair.
You look up and blink blindly up into the sun. Just a second later you see an extraordinary vehicle, a dark bluish motorized glider jet the size of about a van, hovering above, blocking the sun from view. Its rider then turns, slows it down and brings it to a neat halt on the tarmac.
The rider, a young kid, gets out without looking at you, silently putting the glider away in the garage whose door was halfway open. The rider then turns to you, the black eyes shining. A cold ripple runs down your back at that piercing stare. You shiver.
"You're here to find out about us mutants, aren't you, Peroe. You want to know about us an' why we should deserve to have our freedom." -- It wasn't a question. The voice was strange, and unlike any you had heard before.
"Who are you?" you hear yourself say, intrigued by this strange new character.
The kid doesn't speak, but you hear the name in your head, appearing from nowhere:
"Kimvekadrei Gillian."

ABILITIES:
Agility: Kim is very fast, has amazing reflexes and performs extreme acrobatic skill. Kim can jump up about 7 meters.
Telepathy: Kim's telepathy is very powerful and intensive, always on and still developing. Here's a list of things telepathy allows to do:
- telepathic communication.
- reading people's minds without Kim or them wanting to (but just the most top-most and obvious thoughts). If the person is trained to block telepathy, Kim doesn't necessarily sense anything else but the presence of the person. Kim does this all the time, and when there are many people present, the mass of thoughts can be very disturbing and all the data of thoughts becomes very messy.
- read people's minds by concentrating (depending on the person's training and overall sensitivity to telepathy, it might be easier or harder).
- perform a deep-mindscan (i.e. wander through the person's mind, drag out memories (even blocked ones), find out hidden information that the person was trained to hide from telepaths). Deep-scanning takes a lot of energy, especially if the person is trained to reject telepaths and is conscious. Kim can do this to only one person at a time.
- modify, plant or erase memories (it's hard to make them realistic or acceptable (especially as Kim sometimes doesn't understand people and their actions), and that is why it might fail (the real memories might come back, the created ones get destroyed, or then the thing doesn't work at all, etc.), but Kim can always try it again). Simple procedures (like erasing the events of last couple of seconds/minute
s) are relatively easy, and Kim can do it to many people at a time, though it takes more energy the more people there are. Creating the events of a one whole day then again is relatively difficult, and generally Kim can't do this to many people at a time, though if the people interacted with each other, Kim would probably have to.
- create illusions, make something seem real (pain, visions, other sensories) by tricking the short term memory of people. This is also quite simple when performed on one single person with a simple delusion, but depending on the detail of the illusion etc. and the amount of people who Kim is tricking, it can become very difficult and energy-consuming.
Kim doesn't fully control her telepathy and generally needs concentrating and peace to do anything more difficult, like deep-scanning, but on the other hand she can't help reading everyone's instantaneous thoughts nearby (but if Kim has something else to concentrate on, the background "thought noise" can become quite unnoticeable, depending a bit on the situation). In very stressing (emotional) situations Kim tends to lose control over her telepathy and either take on the emotions of the nearby persons or then spread hers all over.
Kim was taught to respect people's privacy, and frankly, she isn't even much interested in digging out people's deepest thoughts, not even mentioning the fact that Kim might not understand at all the person's thinking pattern (also, if the person thinks in a foreign language, it can be a little (but not much) harder to understand). So, generally and often other people's thoughts are "safe".
Other: thing with technology and sciences, hacking and cracking computers etc.

RELATIVES: Mother Jian, father Gary, twin brother Kyle + few other close relatives (all deceased).
GENDER: NONE, Kim is of no gender (genderless, as I say) (no primary or secondary sexual characteristics).
AGE: 14 (looks generally younger).
HAIR COLOR: Black.
HAIR STYLE: Grows upward, looks a bit like Wolverine's, but is longer, especially in the back.
EYE COLOR: Black eyeballs, greenish blue irises (sometimes glow light blue when Kim is using telepathy).
BUILD: Small, slim (136 cm and still growing).
ETHNICITY: Russian / Asian / American Indian
WEAPON(S) OF CHOICE: Home-made laser guns and a staff capable or transforming into new weapons (sword, laser sword, any hitting weapon etc., and it can even collect and direct Kim's telepathic energy as an energy weapon (Cable's psimeter anyone?)). Kim doesn't know how to use the staff for anything else than directing the telepathic energy though, yet.
UNIQUE FEATURES: Of no gender (though it's not that obvious), black eyeballs, few scars around the body.
LIKES: Logic, fiddling with technological devices, machines and computers, sciences, driving and flying around with a flying glider, sci-fi, Internet, pizza.
DISLIKES: Stupid people (i.e. people in general), hot temperatures, water, unpractical clothes, small-talking about things Kim doesn't understand.
PERSONALITY: Very logical, rather nonchalant but curious toward new things, has strong logical morals which most people probably wouldn't approve of, socially inept (tries to be nice about it, doesn't like to hurt people for no reason. Kim won't try to be nice if she doesn't feel like it at all though), introverted.
SPECIAL INFORMATION: I call Kim she because the female is the basic form of mammals (now, you don't want me to give out a biology lesson, do you?). A further note: while RPing, I'll call Kim generally he because that's what people will see (a young boy) when they look at her. Still, it's good to remember that Kim is NOT a female or a male.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Can accelerate or control healing with telepathy (by concentrating on it as the wound is healing, certainly not an easy thing to do) and thus fix even otherwise unrenewable tissue, like muscle tissue. Becomes quite sick if the temperature is over 30 C.
SHORT HISTORY: Kim was born along with her twin brother in Antarctica in a research institute. The institute was very big, and it had tens of different departments. The researchers lived in the institute, and they could do basically anything as long as they reported everything. And since mutants were not allowed in there, Kim's parents did not report of the fact that Kim was a mutant. In fact, Kim's parents were mutants themselves, and quite many of their co-workers were too. The human researchers did not mind having mutants around, they had realized a long time ago that mutants were as human as them. Of course they then did researches and studies about mutants in order to know more, and did not report about them.
Kim learned everything she knows in that institute. Since her parents were both biotechnologists, they taught Kim mainly stuff about that, and general knowledge. Of course the other researchers taught their kids too, so whenever someone was teaching something, the kids were welcome to join. Some researchers even taught their kids things like dancing, other languages, martial arts and so on. (The official languages used in the institute were Latin and new-Russian. Most of the kids, Kim also, were taught English.)
All went fine until the International Organization for Research Institutes of Natural Sciences decided to check the institute. The institute would get closed down and under intensive crime study if the Organization found out what the researchers had been doing there. Since they could not hide their researches and studies, they just decided to reject any inspectors that would come there. That of course raised a number of issues, questions and speculations.
Nobody knows for sure how on Earth the situation developed into taking over the institute by force, but that is what happened. Many researchers were killed by the army and the survivors were taken into court and prisons. Many mutants tried to escape with any aircraft they could find, fearing for their lives. Many were shot down and killed. Kim got away in her glider, but her parents and brother were left behind.
Kim did not have an idea what she would do now. She was alone, flying above the Pacific with no destination. She decided to fly to Russia, at least she knew the language well.
Kim still did not know what she could do, and lived mainly on the streets, tricking people with her telepathy in order to steal anything she needed. Kim started learning how to use her telepathy more efficiently.
One day Kim happened to read a mind of a person who had seen mutants in North America, in New York City, live, not just on TV or papers. It was such a strong thought that Kim did not suspect it a second, but tried to find the mutants the person had been thinking of. Kim could make a very weak connection to New York via the astral plane and barely found out that there really were lots of mutants in New York City, and they all resided in one place. She could not figure out anything more. Kim then left Russia, and with her glider, she flew to New York City. It took a few hours for her to find the place where the mutants were, but after that everything went well and Kim was accepted into Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
OTHER: Kim doesn't often understand other people. Being raised far from western and other civilizations, Kim either knows absolutely nothing or very little about certain things, like celebrities, religion, taboos, fashion, acceptable behaviour and so on (Kim has common sense though, and can read other people's minds to find out what's absolutely not acceptable, but sometimes she just doesn't care), and Kim very likely also doesn't understand these things. Kim prefers speaking telepathically just because she likes it, but also because her voice sounds a bit weird.
Here's how Kim's name is pronounced: Cim-ve-kah-dray ('c' as in "cat", 'e' as in "help", and you're supposed to roll the 'r')
The 'G' in Gillian is pronounced like in "Gary".
