KOЯN'S BIOGЯAPHY PART2
KoЯn faced bands that try to play their kind of music with 7-string riffs, but they could not approach Fieldy's grooving bass lines and Jon's hemony and lyrical skills. KoЯn knew that another Peachy or Leader, however great, however welcome by fans, and however commercially successful, would not do. It was time to reinvent themselves and break from the pack-a risky move given the band's traditionally loyal following. KORN took some time off to work on what would be one of the most important records of their career.
November 16, 1999, KoЯn wrote one of the greatest album, out of boundary, something personal, and fan designed cover, Issues. It showed the world that music doesn't have to follow its rules. Falling Away From Me, Somebody Someone, and Make Me Bad let the world know another kind of music. KoЯn effort paid off when they released the album and off the hook wildly. They had yet another high-charting single with the eerie, crushing "Falling Away From Me." And the record went quadruple platinum.
By June 11, 2002 KoЯn realeased their 5th album, Untouchables. Using a 24-BIT sampling rate-twice the highest rate normally used for recording-KoЯn and producer Michael Beinhorn have created a rich sonic panorama. Unfathomably heavy, uncompromising
ly introspective, and startlingly unique, Untouchables catapults KoЯn to yet another level. It wasn't that good selling like their old ones. David said that he wasn't dissapointed for its sells because he knew that it wasn't the type of music that KoЯn fans wanted.
On November 21, 2003, [released date may vary for some places in US due to the album leaked out and shipping the CD's wasn't ready for some US places] KoЯn released their 6th album, self-produced, Take A Look In The Mirror, which include KoЯn Kut Up (Video Mix), Right Now (Mirror Mix Video), behind the scenes on the Untouchables 2002 tour approximate running time: 30 min. It captured some new KoЯn fans that did not know KoЯn which their heavy guitar riffs and Jon's unsudden screams. Take A Look In The Mirror is more about looking back what KoЯn has done and playing what they feel like. It only took about 8 months for the band to produce the album with Jon's leading skills.
Their music video for "Right Now" was made by a fan. And the album's "Y'all want a single" which is a "big-FUCK-YOU" to the music label companies, was a success by it's catchy into, riffs, and Jon's frutstration and anger toward music companies ripping people and bands off. Most people and bands appreciated the song except Scott from Velvet Revolver who said it's "bullshit".
KoЯn is producing "Greatest Hits" which covered Cameo's, 86 rapper,"Word Up" and Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall. It's released date is scheduled on the October 4, 2004. It has most singles and some few not-singles-but-famous tracks with different riffs.
