An RPG to explore religion in TFK.

Some facts about the races:
Femehans are the most populous race. Their mindset is similar to humans and they have 12 sexes. They prefer leaf-tree forests or jungles, but can live anywhere.
Homehans are animalistic and powerful, but have civilizations too. They have very human-like sexes. They like to live in forests near rivers, but can adapt to any climate.
Toppendas are aquatic, but survive on land as well.
Toppenrans are small, bird-like and live at river, lake or sea shores. Their two sexes look exactly alike.
Jinhaliares are an old, powerful and monstrous race. They seem to rarely disagree with each other, but when they do, the results are devastating to both them and the other races, especially those that live nearby. They like to live in mountainous jungles. They are all of the same sex and do not carry their offspring like the other races.
Nakrans are small people who live in caves and tunnels and see well in the dark. They have two sexes whose differences are that one sex can carry babies and the other can fertilize the ones that can carry.
Karangals are small and live almost exclusively in mountains. A few rare individuals travel to live with other races. They are monoecious.
Falangezkas are an old and mysterious race. They very rarely meddle with the other races and when they do, it happens via just a few people. They are short, monoecious and live in cold mountains and tundra areas. They think blind belief is a sin and shun religious people even more than non-religious people, though they don't really do anything to them.
– Should one encounter a mythical creature that is big, powerful, antisocial, intelligent and never been seen before, it's a tarkaan. Or that's what far-walkers say, some others don't agree.

Some facts for the basis of religions:
– There are far-walkers who can read minds. They claim and seem to be able to communicate with dead people and remote view places. They can also do other supernatural things, but few have witnessed such an event and things get exaggerated – or not.
– Far-walkers claim that there is another, spiritual plane where all people go after death; an afterlife. Many people take this for granted, and it is told that far-walkers can make a person see into that world. However, when asked, far-walkers say they either don't want to do it or don't do that kind of thing because they haven't learned it.
If enough believers of a god congregate, thunderstorms tend to gather in the place where they are being very spiritual. These thunderstorms can be devastating, both to the believers and the surroundings. Thus, gods are real.
– For the reason above, large congregations of religious people are prohibited almost everywhere.
– Also warring armies tend to attract thunderstorms, but in those cases the thunderstorm itself doesn't usually cause much damage. Stormy or rainy weather can sometimes follow large armies.
– Single or small groups of believers don't attract thunderstorms or even rainy weather, but it is not unheard of.
– There are a couple of homehan eikod god-callers who can command their god to strike with lightning just in the place where they want. In very rare cases, the lightning seems to come from a clear sky – most often there's a some kind of stormcloud over. Far-walkers are murderous toward god-callers.

There are currently not many remarkable people to base religions on.
– A femehan creation myth includes a tall, prehistoric falangezka called Tiiomagao and the twelve first femehans called Geniwa, Wa, Wage, Ge, Gewa, Niwa, Geni, Anni, Nige, Ni, Anwa and An. In the story, Tiiomagao gave the femehans their sexes but eventually betrayed them (especially Wa), and An lost eir sanity. People don't worship any of the thirteen as gods, or if they do, such people are very rare.
– Tarkaans are terrible and variable monsters of otherworldly proportions that ought to be left alone. Tarkaans only care about killing each other, but they never seem to get that done properly. Or that's what people say about them. Very few people have seen a tarkaan, and those who have are believed if it's convenient.
– Some people worship legendary creatures that were benevolent, cruel, omnipotent or otherwise heroic or immortal.
– Jinhaliares are told to have a pantheon, which is a very threatening thing, because an army of gods is a terrible, terrible thing.

Pre-game notes

[Veltzeh] would be the GM of the game. 3–6 players would be each be controlling their own character.

One way to do this would be if all the characters were femehans because they're the most complete race. (But players don't have to care about the sexes if they don't want to, though then they'll have to take what I give them about their choice of sex.) Another option could be homehans, toppenrans, toppendas or nakrans, for the reason that I haven't specified their mindsets much, so it could be a collaborative effort to flesh them out. The other races are out for other reasons.

The characters can't be far-walkers. A god-caller is a possibility, but they are crazy, rare and often kept in strict confines.

Of course, if players don't like the idea of exploring the religion, the main point of the game could be something else. I don't yet know what, so suggestions are welcome.

Possible settings?

Femehan nationsDescription
MoorunlaThe southmost femehan nation is located just north of the River Mountains, where it bravely but barely holds its ground against violent tribes of homehans and scorns the nakrans, karangals, toppenrans and toppendas who try to be helpful. Lots of snow in the winter, very cold, and moderate summer.
Kervanela,
Gekkyila,
Malaana
These three nations are rather similar, with Gekkyila being the southmost one of them, just north of the Forest Mountains. Malaana is north of Gekkyila and Kervanela is east of Malaana. To Malaana's north is the Great Lake-like Forest Ocean. North of Kervanela is a Great River. They are simple and relatively peaceful hunter/gatherer and agrarian nations and get along with other races. They get lots of snow and some storms in the winter and are cold. Summers are warm and stormy.
Kattormala,
Tarakiila
These two nations are peaceful and fond of their royal families. Especially Kattormala gets along well with toppenrans and toppendas. Tarakiila is surrounded by the Forest Mountains in the west, Kervanela in the north, Watery Mountains in the east and a Great River in the south. Kattormala is north of Kervanela's Great River which turns to form the nation's western border as well. To Kattormala's north is Weþina and to east the Jungle Mountains. Both are cold and snowy in winter and warm in summer. Kattormala gets a lot of rain.
Weþina,
Golmakala
These nations practice blatant slavery and are very good at agriculture. They don't get along well with the homehan tribes in their lands. Golmakala is located just north of Weþina. They both get barely any snow in winter and are warm and mostly dry in the summer.
DulanalaThe jungle nation is located around Warmbay (a bay of the Great Warm Ocean) and consists of mostly wild homehan and femehan tribes, with a few large cities and their capital, where their monarch resides. They also practice blatant slavery. Very wet in the summer and winter. Hot in the summer and moderate in winter.
Fetormana,
Gaoranola
The biggest femehan nations are surrounded by Watery Mountains and Jungle Mountains in the west, Dulanala's Great River in the north and Mist Mountains in the east. Fetormana is the southern one of the pair, and Gaoranola's northeastern tip reaches the Great Warm Ocean. They both have large cities and lots of plains, though Gaoranola is the place where everything is bigger and better. They are moderate and not very snowy in winter and mostly dry but stormy in summer.

Cool. I like this. I even read (almost) all the text. Which is really rare for me. But yeah, this sounds cool. xD
