History:

Golana Windego was born on the jungle planet of Alc. A small and primitive world where technology would be considered a flint knife and wheeled cart. Alc is a planet ruled by tribal chaos. Golana was the daughter of Waya Windego, the Chieftess of the Corax clan. A matriarchal society who strive to gain control of the planet and bring order to it’s three rings. They believe that by allying with the Sith their goals may be realized.

At the age of twelve Golana was taken prisoner by the Chero tribe. Mortal enemies to the house of Windego and Corax clan. For two years she was held captive, tortured and brutalized.

After two previous escape attempts she was finally successful. She convinced the tribe Chieftain P`tan that for more agreeable lodging she would stop trying to escape and join his harem to do his bidding. The boastful P'tan saw a Corax woman in his harem as a sign of power and domination over what he believed the lesser clan. It did not matter that she was only fourteen.

Chero chieftains where known for their large harems. It was a sign of status among their culture. After the age of eighteen women in the harems where handed down to the chieftain's sons. The younger the girls the more successful the master.

Her first night as a harem girl proved that her judgment had been correct. P’tan took her to his quarters where she killed him with his own dagger. Hearing the gurgled cries of his father Zes, P’tan’s only successor entered the tent. Golana took him hostage and negotiated her release.

She returned to her clan where as was custom her name was modified to Ash`e Golana Windego. A tradition handed threw the ranks of the warrior culture. By rescuing herself she had earned the title of valor: Ash`e. She joined the select few Corax women who had in their life earned such status.

With the title Ash`e came the tradition of tattooing. During the three days of the full moon cycle Golana endured the constant tapping of bone needles and ink into her back. The torturous tradition must be performed in silence with no show of physical pain. Spanning shoulder to shoulder, neck to lower back is the Corax clan symbol. The Nevar bird. A large black bird who’s skill in hunting is only matched by it’s ability to bring a swift death to it’s prey.

Ash`e are not the only women of the tribe who enjoy tattooing. All ranks and classes receive various types of designs. Golana also bares thirteen black rings from her wrists to her elbows on each arm. These signify how many men she has killed in battle. On her upper arms are the three bands of the royal house.

The Alcian culture is based on ritual combat. One tribe or clan chooses a warrior or   Valkery to face another clan’s Valkery in combat to the death for power over that clan. Golana became the Corax Clan Valkery shortly after her escape and for two years, against fiercer, stronger and more dangerous opponents has maintained the title of Champion Valkery. This earned her a tattoo on her neck, a black band.

With the titles of Ash` and Valkery Golana became the Hand or leader of the Corax army. It was decided that with her fearlessness and skill in battle that she was the best choice for the position. Despite her youth and inexperience. She retained this title half a year after becoming Valkery. The tattoos with this position are on her chest.

Her youth was not considered to fill the position. Although Corax women are fierce warriors most warriors do not live much longer than forty. To live so long is a gift from their deity, known only as The Goddess. At 16 she was considered the prime age to become the Corax hand.

She was sixteen when the Sith Lord Josmar came to Alc in search of the source of unbalance within the force. What he found was a quiet, graceful, porcelain doll of a girl who had dominated all opponents set before her.

They battled when he first confronted her. She naturally lost to the stronger Sith but she had a loose knowledge of the Force already. Her grandmother had taught her to focus her energy to block an enemy. With it she was able to force Josmar six feet away from her. With the maneuver she had proven herself to Josmar.

He offered protection of Alc from forces off world and domination of those tribes who would see the planet remain in chaos. In return Chieftess Waya sent Golana with him as his Acolyte. In the Sith religion an Acolyte is the term given a new apprentice.

Golana left the army and Valkery position to her second in command. Her closest friend D’Ker. The only other woman in the tribe she trusted to defend her home. With her planet, titles, and family left behind Golana journeyed to become Sith. Her name was changed to Corvus and she was ordered to forget her life. She is even forced to wear a cloak that hides her tattoos.

In the year since her apprentice ship Josmar became emperor of the known galaxy. The New Republic was formed where none were safe from Josmar’s iron fist. From Acolyte she became Shadow Hand and intern became the force which Josmar used to act out his orders.

During a battle on Ord Mantell Corvus lost her eyesight to a thermal detonator explosion. She used the force to heighten her senses and escape the flaming rubble. The Medical procedure used to renew her eyesight turned her eyes blood red. Giving an eerie look about her.
