At this point not much was left to do other than livening up the area outside the circle (or rather oval) formed by the child’s gaze, arms and the dolphin. So I added more sparks and flying debris, so as to enforce the feeling that bits are being torn off the wires and burnt as they fly off. The debris gets less elaborate shading than the wires on the child, because it is less important, and also to illustrate on the relative luminosity of the sparks, making it all dramatic and such.
