lisa garner had a very normal family and grew up to have a very normal life. she suspects that this is what happens to a kid who doesnt have enough adventure in their lives; they right dark, twisted books!

gardner always loved to read and grew to love to write. when she realised her days in the food service were numbered as she was very clumsy, she began to right a romance novel.
this novel was eventually sold after many years of rewriting it. it was called WALKING AFTER MIDNIGHT and sold under the name Alicia Scott.

she then bought her self a computer and got herself a 'real' job as a consultant, she absalutly loathed it. the bordem she felt for the job led her to continue writing in the dark of the night, she produced 13 romance novels. (i prusume under her fake name). she unfortunatly became bored with writing romance novels. So she wrote a suspense novel. One where she could kill lots of people. she says 'some of whom may or may not bear the same name as various vice presidents who made me work all weekend.'

The end result was THE PERFECT HUSBAND. One psychopathic ex-husband, a good half a dozen murders. Bantam scooped up the manuscript, launched it in a huge way, and next thing she knew, she was throwing out all her pantyhose and discovering the delights of daytime TV.

These days she lives in New Hampshire with her, so she says wonderful husband who loves auto-racing and black-diamond skiing. she works out of the loft with two barky shelties guarding her feet, and one hostile, three-legged cat banging its head against her leg. their little girl now frequents the office copying her mom "working". Sometimes it takes days to find what she typed into the manuscripts!!
