The Kingdom of Lorath, a weakening nation with hopes for a better future just beginning to blossom, is thrown in to chaos.
The night before their dear princess, sister to King Rockmar, was to wed, a madman found his way in to her chambers and slit her throat, leaving her to lie as she had slept, looking peaceful but for the blood darkening the sheets.
The manhunt began. Having committed his crime under cover of night, the criminal escaped with very little trails. A young butcher just leaving his shop for the night saw him fleeing the castle, while later on a horse had gone missing. With such little information it would be hard to find him but it would not deter a group of strong warriors hired by the king to avenge his dear sister's death.
And so, following only rumors and hushed whispers, they set out, faces set and hearts heavy, to capture the fiend and, while they would prefer to serve justice swiftly, they instead vow to return him to their king, alive to face judgement for his crimes
