Michael Ende: Momo review

It was about time that I read Momo, I've had so many comments on it so far. And as I really enjoyed The Neverending Story, I had to read Ende's other popular book.
It tells about a small girl Momo, who's history we know nothing about. She just appears in a town and people start to get to know her and enjoy spending some time with her as she seems to be the perfect listener. Somehow everyone gets an answer to their problems just by dropping to see Momo and letting her listen.

But trouble is on its way as the men in grey suits start to take over people's time. Soon the people stop coming to Momo and Momo must face a terrible threat of these weird men who suck the joy from everyone's lives.

Ende's book can be regarded as children's fantasy, almost a fairy tale. It's easy to read and narration is filled with dialogue. Characters are interesting and well written - you don't need much of information to create a good character.

Momo brings a little happiness and sunshine to the gloomy days and I can recommend this to everyone who enjoy a little optimism every now and then.
