Alice pulled down the board that held the door shut "don't worry Elena it'll be fine"

Baylee Heights, who was on a mission to retreive some eggs for his mother, couldn't help but stop at the sight of the two girls. They were standing outside the old hospital in town, about to sneak in. He'd never really thought aobut goign in the building before, always afraid of what kind of weird people hung out there or even worse, he shuddered, the bugs that place had probably collected over the years. Creepy, crawly scarey ones, hidden by the dark. His stomache turned at the thought. THoguh, he had to admit, he WAS curious about what was left inside. The dark haired boy imagined all sorts of old medical equitment and jars of unknown liquid that his got heart pounding excitedly. Plus, he really did want to take a spin in one of those wheelchairs. So, instead of goign to the store like it would've been safer to do, Baylee walked towards the girls.

"Um. Need a hand?" he asked kind of quietly, trying his best not to scare them.

Alice smiled "EYY Baylee what's up?" Alice nodded towards him

Elena nodded also she was scared to see if there were any spiders in the hospital which everyone knew she was afraid of

Ethan Valentine walked down the street with a gang full of hairflipping pretty boys. He seemed to be the leader of them.

It was just an old building. There was no way anything could be in there-the place was all boarded up. Bugs, if anything. And as long as it wasn't bigger than he was, he was good to go.

"Uh. How do I get in?"

"Through that window, Retarded-Hair-Guy," Replied a jock.

Ethan frowned at the insult. Not because it hurt his feelings. But because it was just bad. "Alright, alright," Ethan noticed some kid and a couple of girls he recognized right away standing by a window, ready to enter. Alice and Elena! And...that one kid with the effed up shoes. "That insult really sucked, by the way." Ethan commented curtly.

"...It just suits you. Sorry. Get in there!" The jock put his foot on Ethan's back and kicked him towards the hospital entrance. He shot a smirk back at his jock friends while walking, and the group had shouts of, "ETHAN!" "YOU SUCK, ETHAN!" "EAT SHIT, ETHAN!" "RETARDED HAIR GUY, ETHAN. HAHA."

Upon seeing the girls, Alice and Elena, Ethan started to nervously ruffle his already unruly hair and straighten his clothes. "Oh uh. Hey girls. And uh...?"

He waved back to Alice and Elena before replying to the other boy. "Baylee. Or blood-problem kid with bad taste in shoes, as you've referred to me before." Baylee tried to give him a sincere smile, but found it kind of hard. 'Weird.' He wasn't used to being unforgiving like that, but somethign about Ethan irked him a bit. Maybe it was that he hung out with horrible people. Or just the blows to Baylee's ego he unintentionally handed out. Probably the second one. He'd found himself getting more upset over those kind of things lately. 'My family's pms must be rubbing off on me or something.'

Baylee shot an unfriendly glance at Ethan's "friends". "So. I guess they dared you to come here? Since it's all haunted and all or whatever." He looked back towards the two girls. "Can him and I join in on your little tour of the hospital, then?"

Alice smiled "that'd be awesome more people more FUN!" Alice was really pumped about the hospital even thought she was afraid of it, Afraid that she too would end up in a hospital waiting to die just like her mother.

Elena smiled weakly "yeah you can come, more people to chase away the spiders." she swallowed hard. more than anything in this world spiders scared the shit outa her

"Cool." Ethan agreed, trying to keep his mouth closed while smiling for once, in a sad try to get the girls to notice him. "Yeah, they dared me to. They said I'd be cool if I did. So uh...Yeah. I did." Ethan gestured over to the gate where his "friends" were supposed to be hiding. "...Wait...? They left? But they were supposed to stay there." He scratched the back of his hair.

A squinty kid with messy brown hair walked by casually and stopped to wave.

"Seth! They sent you to come with me, right? Or something?" Ethan finished nervously.

Seth clicked his teeth. "Actually...they told me to tell you that you don't have friends and you suck. And they aren't waiting for your pansy ass." Ethan sighed and stared at his feet. I said HIS shoes were bad? "Word for word. Sorry, man."

"Are you going to stay anyways?"

Seth snorted. "I'm not waiting for your pansy ass!" He laughed as Ethan sighed again. "YEAH. Um. Anyways. Later." Seth walked away.

"Wait! Hey, get back here!" Seth broke out into a dead run.

Another kid with shorter dark hair and a stupid grin waved Seth onwards. He was a tad shorter than Seth, and lankier. If was obvious they weren't in the same sports. THe kid eventually grew impatient and and ran towards Seth, pulling him back towards the rest of the group. The two disappeared.

Baylee clicked his toungue and shook his head slowly. "You should probably stop being friends with Seth and that Redfeild kid and the rest of those meatheads anyways." He shot another mean look in the group's general direction. "Anyways, looks like you'll be pal-ing around with us for the time being. We're much better than them anyways." He gave Ethan an actual smile before looking at the hospital.

"Well... if we're going in, we better do it now. You know, before the sun sets and any hobos living there decide to come back for the night." Baylee started towards the now unboarded door. 'At least we're taking the front door,' he thoguht to himself. He couldn't imagine what things they'd have to crawl through if they were using that hole he knew was in the back of the building, covered only by a dumpster and a peice of plywood.

He took a deep breath, readying himself for any bugs or spider webs that might be in the first hallway, and took a small step into the hospital. Technically, only the tiip of his shoe was inside before he froze.

"Yeah. I guess they are meatheads..." Ethan examined Baylee's smile. His mouth wasn't open. Damn. How does he do that? Ethan found himself practicing a closed-mouth smile in the blacked out hospital window.

He saw Baylee frozen in the hospital entryway. "What? What is it?"

Baylee blinked a few times, mouth wide-open. 'Was that a?...No. They don't...Maybe..I..' he thought, before forcing his own mouth closed. "Nothing. I thought I saw something moving in the doorway." A blonde haired, plaid wearing something to be exact... He shook the feeling off and entered the hospital the whole way. He walked across the room a bit.

"There doesn't seem to be any bugs or spidAAHHHGH!" One of the light's detatched itself from the ceiling and fell to the floor with a stunning sound and display of lights.

Baylee tried his best not faint ast he smoke cleared. 'Five seconds in here and something's already trying to kill me.' By the looks of the frayed cable that had been keeping that light in place on the ceiling, that something was probably just a rat or squirrels. At least he hoped. Though at the moment, he couldn't think of anything more worth worrying about than a mob of angry rodents forming an army to take you down. Baylee laughed nervously at his own thoughts.

Alice walked in "OMG are you okay Baylee?" she asked but contuined to walk the entrance to the hospital was long and narrow "wow there's so many of them." she stated looking at the shelves around them, on them were dolls beautiful dolls all with glassy eyes Alice felt like those glassy eyes were watching there every move.

Elena walked over and began looking at one "wow these would be great in my collection." she stated reaching out to touch a beautiful blonde doll.

"Er. Yeah. Fine," he muttered, brushing the dust off his clothes before turning to check on the other girl. What does Elena think she's doing?! Baylee grabbed ahold of Elena's outstretched arm and pulled it back towards him. "...You probably shouldn't touch them," he found himself saying without much of a reason. "Er. I mean... Th-they're probably old. They might, uh, detoriate if you brush them wrong... or something." He narrowed his eyes at the dolls in disgust. 'I swore those weren't here when I first walked in.'

As soon as Ethan made it inside the building, the big door slammed shut. Sounds that suggested boards being put up floated into the building. The boys from earlier could be heard snickering, just outside the wall.

"Let's see them get out of here now!" "We won't have to worry about them in school tomorrow, that's for sure!" "See you later, fratheads!" "Now that one was just lame, Erik..."

Baylee groaned, his hand still holding Elena's arm. "Oh, for crying out loud..." He wince inwardly. Now what?

Elena eyes were fixed on the dolls "did that doll just move" Elena pulled back. "Baylee I think we should move away from the dolls." Elena said pulling back

Alice looked around the room there were tiny rat skulls everywhere "I wonder if there's a big spider around here?" but she noticed that one of the skulls had a large slash make on it. " I think we should get out of this room guys." she backed up

Baylee jumped back away from the wall, dragging Elena with him. His eyes were wide. "Sp-spiders. Crawling. IN the dolls." HE started pulling the blonde girl out of the room.

Alice walked away with them till one of the one of the dolls jump down in front of her. "WHOA!" she stated 'Did that thing do what i just thought it did'

Ethan remained quiet most of the time, leaning his head against the window, listening in on the jocks.

"Yeah, that was kind of mean of you guys."

"DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, SETH?!"

"Uh. No. I was just saying-"

"GET OUT OF MY FASE, RYMAN!"

"I'LL GET INSIDE YOUR FASE. BITCH."

"And I thought was the one with the lame jokes..."

Ethan snorted. He was glad now that he wasn't one of them. They all had extremely bad jokes.

Just as the doll jumped in front of Alice, Ethan got the baseball bat he had been carrying with him since after baseball practice, and swung hard at it, shattering the delicate porcelain into powder and spiders. "Ew." He turned to Alice, trying to act as hero-ish as possible, yet trying to stay casual. "You okay?"

Baylee watched the doll's face shatter, and cringed inwardly again. God. Couldn't this place be full of something besides bugs? And creepy dolls. Can't forget those. Especailly now, since the rest had jumped off the shelf and started making their way towards the group. Their movement was stiff, the porcelain not bending well, and some, who hadn't delt with time so well, had to drag themselves, due to missing legs or arms.

Baylee tried his best to stay calm. He found it quite the task for once. When things that don't happen much start happening, it's harder to stay sensable. SO trying his best not to totally panick, he jogged over to the light from earlier that was still hanging slightly from the ceiling. He gave it a good tug and stepped back, letting the rest of the light fall to ground. Baylee picked it up and swing it at the first doll he saw. He ahdn't hit it hard enoguh to smash it on impact, but the swing did cause the doll to collide with a earby wall, resulting in just a pile of broken porcelain and spiders, mournign the loss of their home.

Alice smiled at Ethan "Thanks Ethan!" Alice looked at the piles of doll "this sucks"

Elena looked at the ground with tears running from her eyes "I'm scared."

Ethan smiled awkwardly at Alice's thanks. But to Elena's tears, he didn't know how to react. So instead, he settled on wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Um. Hey, it's alright," He assured, "They're just dolls. Nothing else. We'll be fine." Ethan felt pretty dumb right about now. So much for looking tough.

Baylee gave up trying to hit the all the dolls. For each one destroyed, four more seemed to pour off the shelf as replacement for it's fallen comrade. He ran over to Elena and gripped her shoulder akwardly, trying to comfort her wihtout invading her personal space and trying not to out-do Ethan's comforting job. He hoped he wasn't making either of them too akward. "...Just run to the next room. Ethan and I will stay back and hold them off for a mintues." He smiled down at her, leeting go of her shoulder. "We'll join you in bit."

Alice nodded grabbing Elena "Come on Elena" Alice pulled her along

Elena nodded at Ethan and Baylee "Be careful guys."

Baylee grinned at her and gave a her a feeble thumbs up. "We will. Don't worry." He watched the two vanish into the hall. "...I just hope they don't run into anything while waiting for us." He started to feel bad already but shook it off. First things first, they needed to keep the dolls out of the doorway long enough to keep them from catching up with the two blondes.

Baylee sighed grudingly and attacked a few more dolls.

Ethan didn't care about precision of his strikes anymore. Now he was just swinging the bat and hoping it hit something. "Ugh! They just keep coming!" Ethan shouted angrilly. "Are we just going to keep hitting them?"

"Er. No," Baylee mumbled, half under his breathe, not really caring if Ethan could ACTUALLY hear him or not. He himself had given up even swinging, throwing the light at the dolls insted, knocking down about three of them. "We're resorting to running straight for that door on the count of three. Ready? ...THREE!" Baylee bolted for the doorway.

Alice and Elena were waiting for them with the door open "HURRY GUYS THERE RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" Elena declared stretching her hand out to the boys.

Something giggled airily from behind the two girls. "..I guess I'm behind you," the figure said to the blondes in front, in a soft, pretty, sing-song voice. The sound had a dreamlike quiality to it; as if the speaker was dreaming, rather than the ones spoken to.

Baylee ran faster, eyes wide in fear. It was the figure from ealier! Same white blonde sreak sticking out form the darkness adn the glowing left eye and everything. 'What if it's a monster or a hobo or a giant bug?! What if it hurts them?! Musstt warn them!' He opened his mouth and shouted. "BEHIND YOU! MOSTER. IT'S A BLONDE! AND IT HAS A GLOWING EYE! AND AND! OH MY GOD... plaid. It's wearing plaid..."

The figure giggled again and stepped out of the shadows. Standing infront of them was a pretty average looking girl. Blonde messy hair, pale face and zoned-out eyes. SHe leaned towards the skinny side a bit, and the only weird things about her appearence were her eyes, one 'glowing' blue adn the other a soft brown--and two childish hairclips she wore on her head. "I'm what you are. kind of. Probably not the same as you but I'm human. No powers or nothing either. Not liek some magical being or somethign even though that'd be realyl coola dn all. But. Nope. Normal human being. There." She gave a small smile. "I'm Louie Sinclair. I came in from the hole behind the dumpster. The weather's bad at now, by the way. It's raining and stuff. And hard. Weird. Because now the sky's really dark but it's only 4:45pm. Strange, don;t you think?" Louie frowned a bit, pursing her lips slightly.

Baylee nodded while she talked, trying to keep up wiht her rambling. "Um. Sure. weird indeed," He replied, not having to much to say. He felt stupid already for confusing her with a monster. Ha. Monsters. Geez.

Ethan blinked twice at Louie's appearance, but was comfortable about how she talked so much. People who were too quiet made him extremely uncomfortable. "Yeah. It's pretty weird," Ethan laughed nervously. Why was he so worried about looking cool in front of girls? It's not like any of them seemed to like him anyways. I bet your hair looks like shit. DOn't flick it. She'll think your gay or something.. "Uhm. My name's Ethan, that kid's Baylee, and that's ALice and Elena." Ethan gestured towards each teenager as he announced them. "Wait. You didn't see like...weird dolls or anything? Or a bunch of jocks?"

Louie smiled at Ethan and the others and removed her more embarrassing hairclip, a walrus, leaving only a plain blue one. "Yeah. I mean. Usually around here, it only gets dark at night. But nope. Afternoon and pitch black. As black as some goth kid's hair I once saw. His hair wasn't normal black. It was BEYOND black. Like, stick him agianst of puddle of ink and he'd look bald. Or liek his head's pointy. I was goign to call him Mr. Spikey Scalp but was afriad that's he'd use his powers of darkness on me or try to cook me for dinner," she finished, actually looking frightened but never loosing the song-like quality to her voice.

Baylee felt incredibly sorry for her. 'If she's afraid of those kinds of things, I can't imagine how she'll react to actual monsters or something.'

"Anyways, about the dolls and jocks and stuff," Louie started, brushing some hair our her eyes and readying herself for another round of babbling, "as cool as that sounds, I haven't come across anything of the sorts. Back of the building, remember?" she continued on in her sing-song voice. "All I came across was some skinny drooling man wiht bad hair and superlong fingernails. I think he might've been some kind of homeless man or somethign. I wouldn't know. I tried talking to him but he didn't say anything back. Must've been uneducated. Poor guy. Having to live his whole life without ever reading a book. I wonder how he lives like that. Anyways, I dubbed him Rickety Roger and walked away. Left the poor guy groaning in his despair. I guess all he wanted was a friend to talk to. I would've stayed wiht him but I don't speak Hobo very well. I only know the basics. LIke, 'Chanchange?'; 'kanyusparecassh?'; and "wachmahbeybiezwhileIgitdrugs'. You know. Basics." She ended with a wave her hand and spacey expression.

Baylee took back his last thought. 'Nevermind. Handles scary thing QUITE well."

Alice looked at Louie "Hey! So are you here to explore to." Alice smiled.

Elena nodded to the girl, she was still in shock from the dolls and the SPIDERS. Elena smiled though walking over towards the boys "It's very nice to meet you" she turned to look at the boys "You two okay." she blushed "thanks for helping me back there guys." her face glowed in the dim light

Alice turned away from the door "so where we going now?"

Ethan smiled stupidly. "Yeah. No problem."

Louie sighed and broke away from her dreamland for a moment. "Like wise, Elena. I guess I'll be joining you guys, then. I don't remember the way back to the dumpster so. Can't very well get back out through there." She grinned happily, her teeth showing this time instead of staying behind her lip like her other, spacey smiles.

Baylee shrugged. "I'll guess we'll just work our way down the hall or something. See if we can find anything useful here."

Ethan replied, "Dude. Rickety Roger. I know him. I saw him pissing in the alley downtown before. But er. Nevermind. Yeah. I don't know what we're supposed to do now."

Baylee quirked an eyebrow at him. "How do you know it was the same hobo? I thought they all looked alike."

"That's a misconception," Louie butted in. "Each hobo is unique. You just have to look hard to spot it. Kind of like those "Where's Waldo" books. Tricky little basteards those things are. I don't like them much. Not enough words." SHe pouted.

Baylee smiled. "That's why I liked them. I can understand what the book's talking about."

Alice smiled "god i love you guys your so freck'n awesome." she shaked her head "And what would life be like if i had normal friends?"

Elena looked at Alice "you wouldn't have any fun." she smiled widly and looked around at the group "how could you not have fun with this group?"

Baily blushed and ruffled his hair some.

Louie laughed. "Fun? Really. I am? Wow. I'm usually used to just being called strange and disconnected. BY people at school and stuff. Actually, my own family refers to me that way. It's uncomfortable being with them sometimes for that reason. They think I'm wierd becasue I draw my friends all teh time. I mean, artists draw portraits of their friends so why is it weird that I do? Sure, my fmaily claims they can't my friends, but I can, and I know they're there. Really. I think they're the weird ones..." She trailed off at the end, another spacey look on her face.

She moved her hand upward suddenly, a finger outstretched ahead of her. "Someone's watching back there. OH. RICKETY ROGER! It's good to see you again!"

'Rickety Roger' stumbled out of the shadows, groaning, his bones creaking. He arms dragged the ground, the fingernail scraping across the floor loudly.

"Um. Sorry to tell you Louie, but. I don't think that's a hobo." Baily took a few steps back towards Ailce and Elena. He stood infront of them, his arms out to either side in a protective stance.

Louie stepped towards the groaning figure to observe him better. "Oh," she siad after a few seconds as 'Rickety Roger' stood still, confused as the rest of the group was. "I guess he isn't a hobo. He's a wooly mammoth." She reached up and patted him on the head. "Good mammoth."

'Rickety Roger' let out an angry sound and swung at her.

alice looked at louie " yeah i know how you feel, my fathers a drunk and my mother's dead she was killed in a car accident when i started high school. i do everything my dad just sits there." she began again but at seeing Rickety Roger swing at Louie she screamed "SPLIT RUN FOR IT!" and she grabbed Elena's hand

Elena almost shit a brick when she saw that man come from like no where she split from the rest of the group.

Baily did the smart thing and ran after Alice and Elena.

Louie, on the other hand, didn't run, Instead, when Rickety's hand was about to collide with her head, she ducked, barely escaping an injury. "Wow. Poor guy must of have a hard time getting some change." She reached in her pocket and held out a quarter to him. "Here you go. I don't need it. The vending machine in here doesn't work and the food's moldy anyways." SHe forced it into his hand.

Rickety Roger opened his hand and stared at the shiny coin. He didn't know how to react. 'I can't use this...' he thoguh with his little brain. Rickety blinked a few times, ate the quarter and swung at Louie again.

Ethan stared in wonder. That event just changed his entire perception of hobos. They're all like, WE'RE STARVINGGG GIMME YOUR CHANGE. And you do, and they EAT IT? Never going behind the coffee shop ever again. Wonder what else they eat...there's this one song. I don't remember what it's called, but I heard it on the radio the other day. It sounded pretty sweet. It was all like, 'We'll play Einstein by the shore' or something like that. All guitary. Yeah. I like guitars. I think Dad got me a new one for Christmas. Since it was like, something, wrapped in paper, in the shape of a guitar. Is that the box or the guitar? Man, I can't wait for Christmas. I'm going to start keeping track until Christmas. Let's see, if it's early September right now... He heard one of the girl's scream. He blinked hard and slammed the bat into Rickity Roger's skull. The beast's head made a hollow noise, but did nothing else.

KATHUNK went the bat against Rickety Roger's head. KATHUNK went the tiny brain contained by the rotting skull. KATHUNK went Rickety Roger as his head and the rest of him collided with the floor in defeat.

"Kathunk," said Louie adding a fourth onomonopeia. "I really don't like odd numbers." She looked down at good ole Rickety before kneeling near him. Digging into her pocket, she pulled out another coin and placed it on one of his eyelids. "I only have one coin left, so tell the Ferryman to at least take you halfway. Tell him Louie Sinclair sent you. He'll let you then. He knows me pretty well."

"Right." Ethan mumbled, scratching his head. "So. Umm. What now?"

Bailee interupted before anyone could continue. "Wait. Louie," he started, worried aobut the blonde girl, "How do you know the Ferryman? Isn't he the one that takes the dead acorss the River Stix?"

Louie nodded. "Yes. That's him. I met him once. When I was younger and dad hit my head off the coffee table. He came to me and said, "WHAT THE HELL YA DOIN' HEYA, CRACKA?" and he sent me back on my way." She smiled at the group and stood up, brushing off her knees as she did so.

"Right," Bailee muttered and gave her a weird look. I'm beginning to wonder whether trauma's the reason she's so wierd.

Ethan had no clue what the Ferryman or the River Stix was. So he stared at Rickity Roger, who reminded him of Donkey Kong. I miss me some Kong.

Louie cut between Ethan and Rickety Roger. "Are you alright?" she asked, smiling as if they hadn't just recently encountered moving dolls and a possessed hobo. "You seem sort of, spaced-out."

"Look who's talking," Baylee added, under his breath.

Ethan blinked. "Yeah, yeah it's cool. Just trying to figure out where we're going to go now. The jocks pretty much blocked off all the exits. Maybe we can use one of the windows on the next floor and jump out. It's not too long of a fall..."

Alice looked at the floor "i don't feel so good guys my chest really hurts." Alice sat on her butt hard ..."Guys." Alice said between choking up her lunch and she puked out blood and chicken tenders

Elise looked at Alice "Alice are you okay." she rushed at Alice "Guys HELP"

Ethan ran over to Alice, brushing her hair out of her face and putting his arm over her shoulders. "What's the matter?! What happened?"

Alice looked at Ethan "I don't know my stomach just hurts so much it feels like i'm being eat'n from the inside out."

Zero was walking down one of the hallways when he smelled blood mixed with puke so he rushed to the smell where he found a group of teenagers, one of the male teenagers had his arm around her zero walked up to them "Give me the girl."

Ethan narrowed his eyes and held Alice protectively. "Fuck off!"

Zero smiled "you don't know who your fucking with kid so gimmy the girl or else you'll be lunch."

"Who the fuck do you think you are?!" Ethan demanded. "Nobody cares about what you want. Back the fuck off."

"Fine but i might be the only one here that knows how to help that girl and if i don't then she'll die if you want that girls blood on your hands fine but i'll let you know she's been bitten by something in here and i can get the poison out." Zero said his cold eyes priced Alice's and Elena looked away

"i don't like the way his eyes look." Elena stated grabbing at the cross around her neck

Ethan bit his lip. "Fine. If you're going to help her, then do it. But I won't let her go. I don't trust you."

Zero smiled showing his sharp vampire fangs "alright if you want me to do it here then i will." Zero bent down towards Alice grabbing her like she was a feather and pulling her towards him "this won't hurt much i promise."

Ethan grabbed Alice from him. "Do you know what HELP means? What the hell's your problem?!"

Zero blinked "I have to get the poison out of her blood stream and why waste good blood so i'll get it out if you don't want my help you can let her die."

"What, are you a fucking vampire or something? It makes sense to me, but...I don't know. What should we do, Elena?" Ethan asked uneasily.

Elena looked at Ethan "i don't know i wish this was a real hospital. i don't know maybe we should trust him because it's all we got to go on now."

Grudgingly, Ethan took Elena's advice and gently handed Alice over to Zero. "Just help her. Nothing else."

Zero smiled "you think i'm evil or something i would never." Zero smiled evily he put his mouth to alice's neck and punched his fangs into her, Alice made a sound of pain as Zero sucked the poison from her... after a couple of minutes Zero lifted his head. he whipped the blood from his mouth "i've done all i can"

"Well some dude with fangs just sucked blood from my friends neck, and I'm supposed to think you're good? This is fucked up." Ethan sighed.

Zero frowned "well then i could still kill her if your ungrateful." Zero smiled just then Alice made a small coughing sound

Elena looked at Alice "Alice how do you feel?"

"You keep forgetting that you um, bit her. If you were me, that wouldn't like, freak you out at all? Not even a little? But anyways, thanks," Ethan said sincerely, "really." He even broke a fake smile. For absolutely nothing. Douche bag.

Zero Frowned he jerked his head up quickly "come with me their coming." Zero stated

Louie waited until that moment to have an actual reaction. She had been zoning out during the whole situations moments before. Suddenly, a rush of thoughts hit her, before even waiting for Ethan's replay to the last thing she had said. But finally re-entering the world of the aware, she asked, "Who's coming?" in her usual dream-like tone.

Baylee had, uncharacteristly, remained quiet. He barely responded to the scene before him, not becasue he was dazed liek Louie was, but because a wave of nasuea had hit him when Alice started vommiting blood. Blood. It had always made him feel sick, just the sight, even the thought of it. Especially if the blood hadn't come from a wound. He shivered a bit and snapped out of his daze. "What... the... hell?" he stuttered out, glancing at Zero.

Ethan shrugged. "I don't know, man. Wish I knew what the frack was going on." He scanned Zero with narrowed, untrusting eyes. Freakshow. "You go around fuckin' biting people and we're supposed to follow you? What the fuck?" He turned to Elena, Louie, and Baylee. "You guys aren't thinking of actually TRUSTING him, are you? HE BITES PEOPLE. If that didn't scare you, just a little, then your blind."

Baylee laughed. "TRUSTING HIM? Freakin' hilarious. I didn't know you were that much of a joker, Ethan. No. NO WE ARE NOT TRUSTING HIM!" he yelled, pointing at Zero but talking aobut him like he wasn't there. "Contrary to popular belief, i do not quickly befriend people who go around sucking the blood out of others. Noone in their right mind-"

"He's probably our only real chance," Louie interupted. She gave Zero the once-over. "He doesn't seem to be injured much and seems as if he knows his way around here pretty well. So either he's a monster here, or someone who can get us to safety." She paused, pushing hair out of her eyes. "...I guess, either we die in here on our own, or give this guy a chance to help even if he ends up being the one to kill us. We're pretty doomed either way."

Baylee sighed. "As i was aobut to say, noone in their right mind would trust soemone like this. And of course, she," he said, pointing to Louie, "obviously isn't in her right mind. But, that's probably the most sensible thing I've ever heard her say."

Ethan sighed. "Un-fucking-believable," he muttered, following Zero and assisting Alice in walking.

Louie looked at Baylee and shrugged, looking unrightfully happy. She followed Zero as well.

Baylee groaned. I didn't mean follow him like lost puppies.

Zero picked up Alice and walked down the hallway " what i was referring to are called the Menace or at least thats what the puppet Master calls them. The Puppet Master runs everything here he breeds the monsters and he brought me here, you must all tie into his plans somehow to be here he wouldn't have left you come this far if you weren't. we'll come to my room it's a safe heaven here no monsters come there they fear me all expect the Scythe." Zero told them lightly

Alice groaned lightly looking at Zero's face "it's that boy i saw in the window that first day."

Elena looked at Zero running to keep up with him "so your not from this place naturally?"

Baylee took long strides, following Zero's heels closely. After a moment of staring at the boy's shoes, he lifted his head up and asked, "Why are they afraid of you?" For once, he didn't seem to suspect Zero of anything. He was simply curious.

Louie did not quicken her pace like the others. Instead she trailed behind the group, staring intentley at the walls as they walked on.

Zero keep on walking but smiled "you really don't wanna know why they fear me boy." Zero stated lightly

Ethan shot contemptuous glares at Zero's back ever since they started walking. Watch this asshole kill all of us. And then everyone'll be all, ETHAN, WE SHOULD'VE LISTENED TO YOU. That's right. You should've. "Are you okay, Alice?"

Alice looked at Ethan " i think so but i still feel a little sick and kinda drained."

Zero looked down at Alice " thats only natural girl but i left you with a good amount of blood so you'll be fine once we get to my room. and to answer your question why the monsters fear me is that I'm not human, I'm something else even i don't understand what I am but i know I'm part vampire and part Demon. that probably makes your pet happy."

Ethan cocked an eyebrow. Pet? "No wonder you've lived by yourself in here. You're a real dick." He turned to the others. "Is this REALLY the kind of person you want to help us?"

Baylee glanced at Zero. "Look. If I had any real choice in the matter, I'd definately pick someone else. But, as much as I hate to admit it, he's probably our only real cahnce. Unless you can think of someone better."

Zero smiled at the boys "Well if you want someone else I'm sure someone will find you, but it might be too late."

Elena looked at Zero " It's alright Mr. Zero but right now your the best choice we have."

Zero's smile sent a shiver down Baylee's spine. "You know, that sort of thing isn't something you'd say with a grin, especially around a bunch of girls you're trying to save." At least, I think you're trying to save us. That, or he's...

"...Or he wants to take us home for his dinner," a voice, which sounds an awful lot like Louie's, whispered from somewhere near Baylee's ear, as if reading his.

Ethan looked at Elena and sighed, scratching his head and messing up his hair even more. "Alright. Fine. Lead the way. But I don't trust you."

Zero looked at Ethan "I DON'T GIVE A COW'S SHIT IF YOU TRUST ME I'M DO'N THIS BECAUSE I WANT TO IF YOU CAN'T BE HAPPY THEN I'LL LET THE MONSTER'S GET CA!" Zero stated

Andy heard the commotion nearby and decided to see what it was, hoping that is was not another monster. He peered in the room seeing people They don't look like monsters, wonder if I should say something or stay silent. he thought to himself.

Zero turned his head quickly he just caught a new smell and it didn't belong to anyone that was with him "Who are you and Come out." Zero turned and got ready "I don't know what you are but i don't know your smell."

Andy stepped into the room seemingly not very phased by Zero's harsh appearance "I not enemy. I mean no harm to people." He said, his voice carried a heavy Chinese accent. 

Zero glared at him "Well another Human." Zero looked back towards Elena "Well more fun." the way Zero said human made the divide between Zero and the group much more noticeable.

Alice looked at the Boy "What's your name, you sound like your not from around here." Alice stated from Zero's arms

"My name is Andy Tsen, and I not from around here originally. What happen to this place. It is hospital, but it is not." Andy said, he also wondered why Zero talked down to humans, but he figured that would be a stupid question to ask. He may not be all human. "So you speak down of humans because you not one are you?" He asked seemingly not to frightened of Zero, or if he was curiosity got the better of him.

Zero looked at Andy "NO i'm not human, i'm not some soft weakling like you and the rest of these people." Zero narrowed his eyes " and this place has been cursed since i was brought here. It was once a hospital like 10 years ago."

Andy looked at Zero with a short of glare "Just because we human and you not does not mean you better than us. You very disrespectful." he said in an annoyed tone than mumbled or more mouthed buddha have pity."

Ethan rolled his eyes. I need a shut up filter. Or a bullet in my mouth. "Making more friends, huh?" He murmured.

Baylee sighed. Great. More people to get annoyed or lost or in trouble. He held out a hand to Andy. "I'm Baylee. Don't mind Zero. He just thinks he's cooler than us because he drinks blood and all the monsters here can't stand him." ...probably because he's such a tart.

"Hi, Andy," Louie piped up, dreamily from somewhere behind Baylee and Ethan.

"Hello Baylee and Louie. Nice meeting you." Andy said shaking their hands.

Zero glared at Baylee "And if you don't mind all we should keep going or else we'll have monster up our asses very soon."

Ethan snickered. "Heheheheh. Um, yeah. Sorry. Anyways," He apologized quickly after a short cough, "Yeah I guess we should go. I don't really want any monsters chilling around us."

Suddenly, Ethan heard running footsteps. Before he had the chance to turn around and strike whatever it was with his bat, a pair of arms wrapped around his waist.

Ethan yelled and tried to wiggle out of the arms. "YOU GUYS!"

"Dude, chill. It's me!" Said the body attatched to the arms.

Ethan turned around. "Molly!" And bent over slightly to hug the girl. His enthusiasm faded and he fired angrilly, "Why the hell are you here?!"

The girl frowned. "Glad to see you too, asshole. You've been gone five hours, and I heard screaming coming from here. It sounded like a girl, so I thought it was you." She said, noticing the three girls. "Ah well. Easy mistake."

Ethan flushed red. "...I'll have you know that I didn't scream. Are you hurt?" He asked.

She ignored him and said to the others with an awkward but friendly smile, "Hey. I'm Molly."

Zero looked at the girl lightly and sniffed. "Zero." he stated his name lightly

Alice looked at Molly and smiled "Hey i'm Alice!." Alice stated jumping landing with a soft thud.

Elena walked over to introduce herself "I'm Elena."

"I'm Louie, although it's silly of me to give you my name because the last person who jsut showed up already knew it without me telling them." She stared tranfixed at Andy before turning to the new member of the group.

"I'm Baylee," Baylee added with a small wave.

Zero sighed "Sorry to interupt this but i think we should get moving already before the monster's start coming." Zero turned and began to walk away "and were still while away."

Alice looked at Zero "But aren't you some weird mix of two things and the Monster's like hate you." Alice stated gently

Molly looked terrified upon seeing Zero.

"What? What is it?" Ethan asked. She pointed at Zero. "...He's not scary. He's just an ass. Ignore him."

Andy looked over at Molly the newcomer "I am Andy Tsen." He said.

Zero turned and looked at Molly, he felt like he knew her from a dream but he shock it off and made himself look pissed "Lets get a move on NOW!."

Molly grabbed Ethan's arm.

"Just ignore him." Ethan reminded her again, practically dragging her along. "I won't let him hurt anyone."

Andy looked around than his gaze fell on Zero but said nothing. He was thinking however If monsters dislike you than why do we have to hurry? but knew it was a stupid question.

Zero started walking again as Alice walked up beside him, Zero didn't let his gaze go to her. He wouldn't tell her anything about him or this hospital he promised himself. Not when there was a chance of her liking him since feeling were there for her.

Elena walked over to Ethan "So are you related to Ethan?"

Molly nodded, staying behind Ethan. "Yeah. We're twins."

Ethan narrowed his eyes at Zero as they continued walking.

Andy looked over at Ethan "What wrong?" he asked.

Ethan shook his head and smiled and Andy. "Nothing. Don't worry about it."

Zero felt the boy Ethan's stare but keep walking they were almost to his room when he stopped dead in his tracks a snarl passed his lips "SOMEONE'S HERE!"

Alice not listening to Zero or looking where Zero was ran face first into a Angry Zero who turned and picked Alice up with ease.

Ethan looked confused. "She can walk by her damn self. Put her down."

Zero turned his head so quickly it cracked "NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMEONES IN MY ROOM AND IT'S HIM!" Zero stated holding Alice in a iron grip. Zero's ice blue eyes narrowed and you could no longer see the light silver or the lovely golden in them, they were completely Ice blue, cold, fierce, angry and hungry.He stopped at the only door of that hall as Alice's eyes widened with fear.

Alice was in shock of that door, the number 231. This had been the room that Alice's mother was in before she died.

Andy looked at Zero, he could feel tension in the air "Zero probably right, we should be on guard. He know this place better than us." he said his gaze falling in the directions of Zero's.

Baylee winced when he noticed the scared expression on Alice's face. "Hey, um, is everything okay?" he asked, hoping she would answer so he could be of comfort.

Louie stared at the door. "Who's him?" She was obviously asking Zero, though she wasn't looking at him.

Zero looked at Louie "he's Andy he's asian." zero stated towards Louie

Alice turned and hugged Ethan and mumbled into Ethan's chest "thats the room my mother was in when she.................."

Louie blinked at Zero. "Not Andy. I mean him. The one that's in your room."

"...when she di-?" Baylee caught himself and shook his head. "Nevermind. Pretend I didn't bring it up." He choked out an apology and looked away.

Ethan stroked her hair genlty, as if she were made of glass. "...It's alright. I'm sure nobody's in there."

Molly stepped away from Zero and the door to the room. "Like Hell I'm going in there."

Baylee sighed, feeling totally useless. "Right. You know what. I think I'm just goign to go off on my own. Maybe I'll find a way out." He swept a hand through his hair and kept from making eye contact with the others. "I have my cell. I'll let you know if I find anything."

Andy looked at Zero as if asking if he thought it was a good idea. "Be safe." he said

"Baylee i don't think thats the smartest idea there is." Zero stated as Alice broke Ethan's hug.

"Baylee please stay i'd be really worried about you."

The brunette glanced appricatively at Andy. "Thanks." With a long sigh, he turned to Zero. "Look. I'm not much help in this group. I've just stood by and let everyone else comfort and protect. I figure, if I go by myself, I could actually get something done. Mabye I'll have more luck alone. And if not, well," he shrugged, "nice knowing you all."

Elena looked at Baylee walking away 'what is happening to us?"

Molly ran after Baylee. "WAIT!"

"NO, DON'T WAIT!" Ethan called after them. "GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!"

"Erkldfghrj." Baylee stopped and turned around, fixing Molly and Ethan with a determined look.

Louie grabbed his arm. "You can't go. No one wants you to."

Elena frowned "yeah please don't leave us."

Alice nodded "please Baylee don't go Elena and all of us will miss you."

Molly agreed, "The puppet master might get you!"

Ethan took Molly's arm and pulled her behind him. "Yeah...that too. But you're staying."

Baylee stared at eveyone in defeat. "Dgkdlfg. Fine. You guys are too good at being friends."

Ethan shrugged. "Yeah, it happens."

Molly cast an uneasy glance towards Zero.

"So, what you think we should do now?" Andy asked in his strong Chinese accent. He looked around at everyone before his greenish blue eyes rested on Zero, as if asking for the answer from everyone but wanting the final verdict from Zero.

Baylee frowned, "How about, we stop talking about making plans, and actually make one? One that might, I dont' know, actually get us somewhere?"

"We have one," Louie half-whispered, glancing at Zero. "I thought we were going to go into Zero's room. Forget that guy in there, we'll jsut give him the ole' one-two."

Andy looked at Louie a bit confused "The one-two? I no understand what you mean." 

Zero looked at the asian "She means we'll kill him." Zero smiled wickedly.

Alice looked at the floor "But ...... Nevermind, lets just go in." Alice walked forward to open the door

Elena grabbed Alice's arm "are you sure your ready for this?"

Alice looked at Elena "No not at all if anything goes wrong i have you and Ethan and everyone else."

Ethan smiled nervously, opening the door to Zero's room.

"Um. Well," Baylee coughed nervously, looking into the room, "seems to be empty."

Louie frowned. "Awww. I sort of wanted someone to be there. I was up for a boxing match." She gave the air a few good punches.

Zero frowned "i don't think so someone's in here." he frowned and stepped into his room. the room was bland, a bed sat in the corner near a non boarded window. the floor of the room was forever dyed a crimson red and there was mold on the corners.

Alice looked into the room and walked in, she shivered she felt like someone was watching her as everyone walked into the room.

Elena grabbed the door and began to shut it and looked confused as she saw something in a black coat with a floppy hat on. 

"So someone here or not? I trust Zero judgment. He live here, and know place well enough." Andy said. 

Baylee looked at his surrounding upon entering the room. "I'm pretty sure it's empty." He ignored a stray shiver and noticed the condition of the room. "Seems...uh. Homey?"

Louie smiled nervously. "I think it's sort of charming. But, it makes me uncomfortable."

Ethan was beggining to get slightly annoyed with Andy's broken English and Chinese accent, but shrugged it off. He was far too polite to say anything about it.

Molly tried to walk out into the room in front of Ethan, and he used his arm to barracade her path. "...I think someone's in here," He said.

"That's because there is someone in here Miss Molly." the old man stepped from behind the door looking at the scared face of Elena. "breath child i won't kill you just yet" he turned to everyone else "Welcome to your new home, as you'll find out soon i am not allowing you to leave my hospital. You all will become my new 'patients' and you will never want to leave after wards." the Puppet Master smiled

Alice looked at the old man in the black trench coat and the floppy hat 'he sorta reminds me of' "Dr Janalens?" Alice stated "you took care of my mother you told me that she was going to be fine, your the one that had her killed you killed my mother." Alice wanted to Punch that doctor to break his jaw.

Zero was the first one into the room and he jumped over everyone's head to get to the Puppet Master "YOUR NO LONGER ALLOWED IN 'MY' HOME GET OUT" Zero Bared his sharp pointed teeth at the Puppet Master and growled at him then he turned his head quickly towards the group "GET OUT OF THE HOSPITAL WHILE I DISTRACT HIM JUST RUN!"

Ethan used one arm to protect a terrified Molly, and the other to restrain Alice.

Baylee grasped Louie's arm, but didn't budge.

"It be best we listen him." Andy said but could not bring himself to leave the others.

Alice felt tears come down her checks "YOU KILLED MY MOTHER YOU KILLED HER AND YOU SUMMONED A DEMON AND YOU JUST USED HER SHE THOUGHT YOU WERE KIND MY FAMILY TRUSTED YOU," the tears started flowing heavly and she broke outta Ethan's hold and walked away from the commontion.

Elena looked at Alice and turned to her trying to help her but couldn't stop herself from shaking.

Zero didn't move from in front of the Puppet Master and he went to jump to the puppet master but with a flick of the man's wrist Zero was restrated by invisable threads "you poor thing you really think i cared for your mother she was just the perfect thing to summon Zero who as a young thing ate her, you look just like her maybe that's why Zero wants to protect you and your friends. your mother let him eat her willingly she told him that all he needed was to feel love from another."

Louie wriggled from Baylee's grasp and walked slowly over to Alice admist the commotion. "This whole thing is...horrible," she whispered, hugging her with one arm and pulling out a tissue with the other.

Baylee stared at the puppet master. "Jesus. You're such a dick." He clenched his fists and took a step forward. "Who gave you the right to control other people?"

Ethan struggled to hold back Alice with both arms now.

The Puppet Master looked at Baylee "WHy you only have yourselves to blame, You came into my Hospital. MY HOSPITAL!" the puppet Master stated

Alice looked at the puppet Master and turned around and put her face in Ethan's chest and started to cry.

Elena looked at Zero who was wiggling around like a bug caught in a spiders web. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Elena threw something at The puppet Master.

Ethan petted Alice's hair. "You have YOURself to blame, you killed her mother." He replied curtly to the man.

Andy who was just standing there snapped into reality noticing what was going on. "I want to help but don't know really how to at the moment." He thought to himself. "Leave him alone!" he yelled. Which afterwords he noticed was a kind of stupid thing to have done.

Zero growled loudly and began to rip the strings causing his hands to bleed "I DIDN'T KNOW WHO THE FUCK IT WAS THEN I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING THEN I WAS A BABY JUST LIKE YOU FUCKING HUMANS" Zero screamed.

Baylee tried to avoid the sight of the blood. He cringed, wiping the spit from his face. "Dude. Chill."

Louie blinked rapidly, teetered a bit and promptly fell over.

Elena looked at Louie running over to her and grabbed her shoulder "Are you ok Louie?"

Alice roled her eyes she was mad "Lets get Zero away from this fucking old man so i can beat the shit out of him later." she walked away from Ethan and grabed zero's hand then grabbed one of the strings, the string cut her hand and she began to bleed but she started to pull the strings away from Zero.

Ethan went to assist Alice in cutting the strings, though all he had was the baseball bat, which was promptley cut in half by the steel strings. "...Well, I'm all out of ideas," He remarked quietly.

Molly picked up a severed half of the baseball bat and chucked it at the Puppet Master.

Ethan's eyes widened. "Molly!"

Zero smiled "That'll kill him"

Alice thought of an crazy idea "your a demon thingy right zero, human blood makes you stronger here drink this." Alice held up her hand to zero's mouth.

Baylee blinked in surprise. "You're going to let him DRINK from you!?"

Ethan grabbed Alice's hand. "Are you fucking crazy?! You're going to get yourself killed."

Zero looked at Ethan "would you rather all die a horrible terrible death?"

Alice looked at Zero then to Ethan "i trust him just enough not to slurp me."

With a small cringe, Baylee nodded. "...Well. If you promise not to drink too much. Or spill blood."

Ethan, still holding Alice's hand, slowly let it go. "Fine. Just don't try to pull anything."
