Mystica

In a far land at the end of the world lays a realm where the peaceful Clover Village is hidden, surrounded by a vast forest on all sides. The villagers have never known war, most of their days are spent farming the soil where they reside and their nights are spent in the town square dancing and playing music. Who could have foreseen the terrible tragedy that was about to befall the little village of Clover Village.

It happened on a dark and stormy night where not even the moon was shining. The lightning and thunder tempest that was over Clover Village could be seen and heard from miles around. The storm wasn't the only thing that was frightening the children of Clover Village for during the cover of the storm, villains and bandits crept into the little town and once they stole their prize, vanished into the night.

Early next morning the sound of silence could be heard throughout Clover Village because the usual children's laughter was eerily absent. A few minutes later cries of horror could be heard from mothers and fathers. Quickly the whole town assembled a search party, mostly of the parents of the missing children, and followed the tracks of the kidnappers. They followed them all the way up to the Dark Cave, and once the party looked inside they couldn't bring themselves to enter, not even for their own children.

The people of Clover Village remember well the horror stories that came within the cave, how some say they heard screams coming from within on dark nights. But above all other stories, the only villager to enter in the Dark Cave and come back out won't talk about what happened because it always reminds him how his friend that went with him wasn't so lucky.

Will you brave the Dark Cave in search of the missing children, to save them from utmost peril? Will you come back a hero or will the Dark Cave and everything inside utterly consume you?

I, [Thallion], reserve the right to refuse your character or eject you from the RPG at any time. You get one warning before you are removed. Powerplaying and extended absences have the potential of removal if there is a serious problem. Tell me if you are gone for >3 days. Please be dedicated RPGer.

2008-08-17 [Slinky]: looks good. some grammatical errors, but everything seems pretty clear. i'm excited for playing!

2008-08-18 [PhoenixSilverDark]: I may submit a character to this after all! Besides, I'm sure I'll need RPing as a break from making artwork this semester! :D

2008-08-19 [NOOOPE]: Ooo! Ooo! I have a character I can experiment with in this...

Question, is this city completely hidden, or could people move in and out of it... I think Kay's character went to another city... but this character was in the military, and since this city is so peaceful, he'd have to live somewhere else for a while.

2008-08-19 [Thallion]: well, the time line is basically colonial times, where there was minor cities in between huge forests, etc, just in another realm.

2008-08-19 [NOOOPE]: There are no larger world powers anywhere?

2008-08-22 [Ramirez]: What kind of world is this? Magic, sorcerers, ect. Or good 'ol fashion swords and/or guns?

2008-08-22 [Thallion]: the world is basically a parrellel universe of earth. in this realm there aren't any witches (though people think there are) magic, any of that stuff, but if they were to cross into another realm...whose to say that stuff exists (dun dun dun! lol) basically its a superstitious little village in early colonial times

2008-08-22 [NOOOPE]: But wait wait, can my character move from somewhere here, like someone from Britain would move to the colonies?

2008-08-23 [Thallion]: sure, but only one character can do that, not many people travel to Clover, and its a different earth so there's no britian but ya

2008-08-23 [NOOOPE]: This character would have a reason for wanting to move out into the middle of nowhere, so, he'll be a rare case.
