Outsourced review

2006
Directed by John Jeffcoats

Starring Josh Hamilton, Ayesha Dharker and Asif Basra

This movie is a cute rom com about an American man whose job is outsourced to India. His boss wants him to go to India, train in the new boss of the call center there, get their numbers down to 6.00 (flat) and then he can come home. At first Todd (whose name is always mispronounced "toad") seems to hate life in India, and doesn't understand their culture and wants to force them to understand his. Asha, one of the workers at the call center, wisely tells him he has to learn about Indian culture. He finally begins to understand, and the two have a brief live encounter before he returns to the US.

I think this movie is amazing. I first saw it in a high school Econ class (yeah, that was a very serious class, obviously) and I thought it was splendid. The acting is great, and it gives good insight into Indian culture (I now want to travel there when they celebrate Holi, for example). It's really well done, and I would recommend it to anyone.
