This creature can be trained for a rider, requiring an exotic saddle. The pegasus must have a good rapport with the rider, and a successful training of six weeks (Handle Animal DC 25). A pegasus can fight during flight, and while carrying a rider, but the rider's own riding skills must be challenged for them to make a successful attack at the same time.

Professional pegasus trainers charge 1,000 Gold pieces for such a creature, and on the open market, eggs will sell for 2,000 GP, young for 3,000 GP. A pegasus will only allow a good- or neutral-aligned rider to put a saddle on it, and will be faithful for life once trained for a rider.

2006-12-14 [Dark Side of the Moon]: I made two minor changes here: At the very beginning it said "Pegasus are a creature used...". Correct English would be "Pegasus is a creature used..." Also, at the end, the text read "A pegasus will only allow a good- or neurtal-aligned rider to saddle on it..." There was a typ in the word "neutral" and correct grammar for this should read "A pegasus will only allow a good- or neutral-aligned rider to put a saddle on it..."

2006-12-20 [xido]: Absolutely, Ir, and thank you. Keeping me on my toes. ;)
