Character name: Pinocchio Geppetto
Race: White
Age: 20
Height: 5’8”
Eye color/shape: Almost unrealistically round, and very brown
Hair color/style: He has light brown hair brushed to the side in a charmingly dorky fashion
Face specifics: Pinocchio has a very oval head, with wide silly little lips and a dimpled chin, all making him appear very doll like. And just to add to that effect, he has a long ridiculous nose, whose tip sticks out like a pole from two perfect little nostrils. Note, it’s not huge, but it’s still weird as hell.
Body specifics: Pinocchio has a stick like, lanky body, with long thin limbs pieced together with very knobby joints. He looks extremely ungraceful, even awkward at times, and is a fearful sight when he’s running.
Occupation: He’s trying to get a job writing for the city paper, but right now, all he’s allowed to do is work the printing press.
History: Little does Pinocchio know, he used to be a puppet. He was brought to life by the GM when Ambrose Geppetto wished for a son. Now that he’s a grown, ambitious young man, he’s left the Geppetto household to follow his passion for journalism. However, upon applying, he only got a job working the printing press. Dissatisfied, he asked his boss for a chance to cover a story, and annoyed by Pinocchio’s constant begging, the boss gave him a bland boring topic Pinocchio felt he couldn’t possibly prove himself with. So, Pinocchio decided to spice it up, and the result was such obvious BS his boss (who’s magic, fyi), cursed him so his nose would grow if he lied again, and then he booted him towards the printing press and told him to get back to work. Knowing he had blown it, Pinocchio became determined that he must cover the greatest story the city had ever seen in order to become a journalist, and later, through whatever connections, he heard about the Giant Slayers and joined so he could get dirt on the Patin society.
Personality: Pinochhio is determined, ambitious, but also incredibly naïve. He’s a sweet heart, doing everything in his power to reach his goals, but he’s not exactly smart enough or wise enough to get there. If anything, he needs some metaphorical strings to keep him upright or he’ll be flopping all over the place. He has a hard time comprehending his flaws, and tends to shrug off criticism out of either confusedness or stubbornness. He’s enthusiastic, relentless and kind of, well, a blockhead. Go figure.
Sexual preference: The ladies. The more dollish, the better.
Relations: His pop, Geppetto
Abilities: His nose grows if he lies

React to the following statement ic (in character):
"Hey! Don't think I'm stupid. I know what you're up to."

“What?” Pinocchio squeaked.

With a growl, his boss advanced and threw the latest issue of the paper at Pinocchio’s feet.

Pinocchio stiffly looked down and then up again, his knees shaking, betraying the clueless innocent look he was trying to keep on his face.

“Who’s this anonymous writer on page 3?” his bossed asked.

“I don’t knoooooooh noooo…” Pinocchio whimpered as his nose gained a few inches in front of him.

“Do you want me to fire you right now?!”

“No sir.”

“Than don’t ever, EVER mess with my paper again. You understand, Geppetto?!” his boss roared.

Looking nauseous with nerves, Pinocchio slowly nodded.

“Good!” his boss barked. “Now go reprint this! Do it right this time!”

2008-05-18 [Tyrana]: This is so awesome! I didn't realize making Geppetto a last name would make Pinocchio sound kind of silly. I think it suits him, though. ^_^ Especially if Geppetto didn't know what would happen before he named his puppet.

2008-05-18 [NOOOPE]: That's what I was thinking. Originally, I was just going to make him human, and have his last name be pinocchio, but if he was a puppet, he would have had a silly name.
