Run As One:
Chapter FourB

Molly ran with Augustine the end of the construction site where a hole remained in the gate. They slid through and darted into an alleyway. The two black vans passed by soon thereafter with their sleeping pack. The vans were moving quickly, darting though traffic towards the edge of the city.

"Shit shit shit!" Molly swore, watching the vans disappear in the traffic. "Come on- we can see them from up there!" she pointed up to the top of the building they where hiding behind. Without waiting for Augustine, she jumped up nearly thirty feet up. Placing her feet on the side of the brick wall, she used it to jolt herself another thirty feet until she was at the top of the building.

Augustine followed and then ran to the side of the building that gave him the clearest view of the van.

Molly let out a long sigh, "Well this sucks, man." She shifted human and ran her fingers through her orange locks.

The vans rolled behind some buildings and out of sight. Augustine swore and turned human, kicking the roof ledge. "Oh yeah?" he said sarcastically, looking extremely agitated.

Molly ignored Augustine's annoyance and stood on the ledge of the building. "Well I say we should definitely prep for this before barreling into this blindly. We can't take long."

"We need weapons that can pierce that armor..." said Augustine, his mind always on the human killing.

"Well...hm...what about some sort of gas? Sounds kinda movie-ish, but they still need to breathe right?" Molly leaned on one side. "Grenades might work too?"

"Bomb recipes are everywhere," Augustine said. "It's just the issue of getting the materials. And I, uh," he looked in the direction the van was going. He went silent for a moment, and then looked extremely agitated again. He started to walk around angrily. "Fuck it, Molly! I mean, first we have to find this damn place, then we have to get weapons, then we have to attack, I mean, how long is that gonna take? What the fuck are the humans doing to them? What could we possibly fucking do?"

His words gave her chills. Though, similar to couple behavior, when one gets stressed out- the other becomes oddly calm. "Hey!" Molly shouted to counteract his voice. "It's going to be fine!" She looked out to where the vans vanished. "We can track their scent. It's four fucking wolves! We managed to make it out of there, didn't we?" Molly looked back to the construction area. "I'm sure we can handle it!" Though she spoke with confidence, she wasn't all too sure if she believed it herself.

Augustine seemed at least a little comforted by her words. He looked over the city with a grim look on his face. "Even if we can't save anyone," he said. "We should find that place and fuck it up."

"Most definitely." Molly nodded, glad to see he at least somewhat was cheered up. "At least they won't die in vain." She itched underneath her grey collar, "Hey- I know the others seemed broke but do you have any cash?"

"I don't use money," said Augustine.

"Oh boy- a purist." Molly rolled her eyes. Letting out a sigh, she tilted her head, "Do you at least know where they sell explosives or weapons?" She was a little pissed off that she was going to lose all the money she had stolen in the past few months.

"Nnnno..." said Augustine. The he looked down the side of the building and scratched his head. "Do you know how to use computers?" he asked.

"Can't say I've ever used one, no-" Molly gave him an odd look, wondering why the hell he would ask that so randomly. "Can't be too complex if humans made it. Why?"

"In my old pack, a guy used it all the time to find information about weapons. If we could find out how to make a bomb, we could raid somewhere for the materials," Augustine attempted to explain.

Molly tilted her head, "Could we just like- tweak some fireworks or something?" She was trying her best to think realistically and considering how much time they had.

"Would it... work?" It was dawning on Augustine how totally helpless they were. He had felt powerful with this knife and fangs, but right now, he was extremely embarrassed.

Molly shrugged her shoulders and gave him a cute smile with upturned eyebrows, "Don't know." She turned and walked along the ledge, looking down at the marketplace. "I think it would be best if we stayed looking like this though. Guess you and me are going to get some quality time together, huh?"

He sniffed a little laugh and smiled at her weakly. Despite the future of hanging out with a hot babe, Augustine was still extremely embarrassed and ashamed. This was a second pack he had lost and there was seemingly nothing he could do about it.

"You think their trail will be good for about 24 hours?" Molly asked, just in case.

"No idea, but we might as well do something useful," Augustine responded. "Come on," he said and walked to the ledge.

"Ahem-" Molly raised her brow, "Ladies first?"

For the first time since the attack, Augustine honestly smiled. "Yeah right," he said and descended before her.

"Males.." Molly growled a little under her breath before stepping off the edge. She ran along the wall for a few feet before landing in a crouch on the pavement. "I think you need to be taught some manners." she said honestly.

Augustine laughed. "I'd like to see someone try."

"I like a challenge." Molly smirked, walking down the alley, not bothering to wait for him to lead.

He walked beside her, but then started to speed up.

Molly heard him speeding up but made nothing of it. She turned out onto the sidewalk and moved rather quickly, "Fireworks....fireworks..."

"Anything that explodes..." he said, feeling a little foolish.

"What's your problem?" Molly asked, noticing his steep lack of confidence.

"You can't honestly not realize how fucking pathetic this is," he said. "I mean, that doesn't mean I'm not going to work my ass off to kill those bastards, but really puppy..."

"Shall we just run in then dressed as a couple of mail carriers?" Molly said with sarcasm. She sighed and rubbed her arm with her other hand. "To be honest, I'm a little scared too."

Augustine looked surprised. "I'm not scared!" he said, defensively.

"Please- everyone's scared of the catchers. Even just a little." Molly said confidently. "You can't be all blood and guts in there."

"I'm not scared," he repeated with an angry growl in his voice.

Molly was a taken back from his sudden burst of anger. "You seemed pretty damn quick to flee! If I recall correctly, you ordered that we flee!" Though he did command the proper order in that scenario, it wasn't as noble as fighting to the death.

"What the Hell were we supposed to do?" he exclaimed, looking nervous and flustered. Obviously, he didn't like this question.

"I understand that, but we could have at least gotten Mercie out of there!" Molly looked up at him, "She's just a kid-- and she was so close to us!"

"What if we had gotten into that building and then they barricaded the door? Don't be retarded!" Augustine snapped.

"Bullshit! You know we are faster then that!" Molly snapped, not backing down.

"They were right fucking there!" he said, stopping. "If we had run into that fucking hole, and they blocked the doorway, we would've been done for! Damnit, we're some of the only wolves left, we can't be stupid and throw ourselves away like that!"

"Throw ourselves away?" Molly tilted her head for a second, "Where the hell do you get off, man?! What are you proposing that we repopulate or something?!" Their loud shouts and wolf talk was being overheard by many of the city folk. Molly and Augustine were getting strange looks all around them.

Augustine's eyes went wide at her misinterpretation. "No!" he screamed. "I mean wolves in general! I mean-!" he looked around. "Let's keep moving..." he said and awkwardly started off again.

Molly scowled behind him and started walking too. She took hold of the headphones around her neck and placed them on her ears. Molly fixed the collar around her neck so the front was aligned properly.

Standing in front of a booth selling leather products such as boots, gloves and belts. Was a rather young girl with various colored brown hair. She was wearing a pair of tight bike shirts and a white sleevless top with a black denim vest. She had just dropped some money onto the counter and was pulling off two old leather strips from each wrist, replacing them with new ones. At least that's what the human's only saw. Sheba glances back at the two wolves and shakes her head minutely making some vague response to the man behind the counter before getting the change from her payment. "The young don't know discretion." She mutters softly.

Molly perked up when she smelled something other then Augustine's back drafts. "Smell that?" she asked. She pulled her headphones down and around her neck.

Augustine stopped and sniffed. "Depends on what you mean by 'that'," he said.

Sheba shakes her head once more before turning her back to the two young wolves and walking down the street towards the middle of the market. There was a person who sold really good pork knuckles. and she was more concerned with that then the other wolves at this point. Especially two wolves that drew attention.

"It's just that you were so bent on repopulating and there is another female in this city." Molly teased before cussing, "Dammit, are there no places to buy a few bombs around here?"
A couple passing stared at Molly while the dog on their leash stared at the two and bowed it's ears down in submission as they walked passed.

"What I-!" Augustine jumped at her saying that again. "Where the Hell is she then, maybe she can help."

She lifted her head and sniffed again, "Over there- by that vendor." Molly gestured. "You think? Three is better then two I guess, right?" She headed over with Augustine. "Yo-" she waved to the girl.

Sheba turns her head one eyebrow raised. She nods her head at Molly. "Just the one." She finishes saying to the vendor, pulling out the money needed to buy her purchase with. She could tell by scent that both wolves were older and in some sort of distress. She wasn't paying much attention to that though. Actually she didn't seem to be paying much attention overall. Even to the vendor in front of her.

"Hey!" Augustine barked in his overly aggressive way.

"I've got a proposal for you, lovely." Molly wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulder and tried to guide her in a direction away from the human vendor. Her and Augustine needed to hurry up if they were going to save their pack.

Sheba snatches the package of food quickly before she was lead away. She allowed the shorter woman to easily lead her. She was pretty much ignoring the male. He had yet to offer anything of interest, for her. "I'm not actually and if you want to talk follow me. You attract far too much attention to yourselves." Sheba says softly walking out of the arm on her shoulders and over to a more secluded area in an out of the way area. After giving a hard look to a raven she leans against one of the brick walls.

Augustine scowled. He didn't like letting this pup order him around. If it had been a different situation, he would have snapped at her.

Molly took a deep breath. "Listen, I'm gonna be straight with ya, kid. We just formed a small pack recently but they were taken by the catchers." She looked to Augustine, then back to the girl, "We have little to no knowledge around humans and you seem to. To be frank, we need all the help we can get. And if we succeed, you can join us." It was a lot to ask of a stranger, but a wolf no less. "I'm Molly and this is Augustine."

Sheba raises her eyebrows in slight shock before rolling her eyes slightly. "I'm not a kid, and what good is a pack to me if all I have to do is rescue them. But... I guess I can't just leave them there. They'll be shipped off." Sheba says looking at her booted feet before looking up. "Well if the Catchers picked them up I know exactly where they'll be. The fact that you need help is certainly true... I suppose I will help you then." Sheba says with a shrug of her shoulders. "My name's Sheba by the way."

Molly smiled, "You know where they are being kept? Perfect!" she exclaimed. "Do you know what the outside looks like? Fences? Guards?"

"Do you know how to make a bomb?" asked Augustine untactfully.

Sheba gives them both odd looks for their oh so graceful approach to this. "Depends." She says softly giving a slightly harder look to Augustine. "And yes there are electric fences running a twenty volt charge through them with barbed wire at the top reaching twelve feet tall and running completely around the holding building. The Guards are posted regularly but most of them know me. the passes aren't hard to make... though the security codes are known only to the guards. There are also servalance camera's and they do have a canine unit. It's next door. Most of them are used to my scent though." Sheba says with a shrug. She shifts her bundle into her other hand and shoves her now free hand into a pocket.

"Dare I ask why?" Molly tilted her head, She pulled up the strap of her tanktop.

"I clean their food and water bowls." Sheba says with a shrug. She wasn't happy the way she lived. But she was content to not be found out. She did not mention that there were a few dogs she did not clean bowls for. There was two at least that she did not. They were the Sergeants personal trained dogs. He took care of them himself.

Augustine just looked dumbfounded. "What?!" he snapped and looked at Molly before looking back. "You work for these people?!"

"It keeps me safe and fed." Sheba shrugs looking at the pair of wolves again.

"Urm... that's like... treason. You know that, right?" Molly said with a twisted face, not liking all this information.

Augustine looked like he'd explode. "I'm uh," he ran his hand through his hair. "I'm just going to stand off here... for a while..." he said, drifting to the side. Controlling his rage wasn't something Augustine was good at, and he new he'd kill this bitch if he continued listening.

"They are just dogs. It's not like they even know what freedom tastes like. They were bred and born for their job." Sheba says with a shrug. She didn't see the problem. Dog's were a far lesser species. "It got me the information you want to save your friends. So what's worse, me working for the humans to keep their pets alive. Or you letting your friends get tortured and experimented on and you two being the only ones left behind?" Sheba says with a harder look to Molly.

Molly shook her head, "No no.. It's alright." She had actually been cared for by a human for a large portion of her childhood but had chose to be quiet. "Where do you think would be a good entry way?"

Sheba went quiet for a moment thinking about it. "For you two... Probably the Sewage pipes underneath the city... There's a man-hole not far from the back of the building you want... But the clearance pipe opening is about two miles out. That would probably also be a good way out... unless you gt caught." Sheba says with another shrug. She leans back against one of the walls of the alley. Sure she'd give them the information, as far as involvment however she would be somewhat limited.

Augustine narrowed his eyes and stepped aggressively forwards before he balled up his fists and grabbed Molly's shoulder, pulling her away. "This has to be bull shit," he said, speaking at a volume only she could hear. "And if it isn't," he glanced back at Sheba. "How the fuck could we trust such a traitor? She's works for them, Molly! Even if it's an underling job, it obviously shows that she has zero loyalty to her own kind! If we didn't need her..." he said with a growl, his eyes titling in Sheba's direction.

Molly frowned, completely agreeing with him. "She also has this...tone, doesn't she? A little cocky and almost uncaring." She took a deep breath and sighed, "I don't like this either..." Nervously, Molly stuck her finger through the loop of her own dog collar. "True, this Sheba does work for humans, but what other option is there? It sounds like she knows that facility's outsides. If we sense any suspension, she's dead." She removed her finger form the collar loop.

Sheba stands pulling away from the wall she had been leaning against. "Well if you two are done...I for one want to eat my meal and get some sleep." She says turning away from them a little to walk a few steps before stopping. "Unless you need me for something specifically? Let's go to my place." She says with a tilt of her head and a small cocky little grin.

Molly perked up, "No offense, but we really need to get to that prison asap." She appreciated the offer, but her priorities was to get the pups out of that place before they did...whatever they do in that place.

Augustine crossed his arms. "What she said," he stated, nodding sharply at Molly.

"Want to come with? We could use all the help we can get." Molly offered, feeling rude not to. She adjusted the collar of her sweater and looked at Augustine, a little surprised that he let her take the lead.

Augustine stood uncomfortably, waiting for Sheba's response. He definitely didn't feel comfortable acting as number two, but right now, he felt that Molly would be... less dangerous.

"You got that right. Well... you said something about bombs right? The only kind I really know how to make are pepperbombs and flashbombs." Sheba sighs giving in. She would be more helpful and even participate. They needed all the help they could get for this.

"Excellent! Let's get going. It's going to get dark soon." Molly said, running down the alleyway.
A FEW HOURS LATER: Just as the sun began to set, the three wolves managed to make it to a thirty foot tall, electric fence. The area fenced in was seemingly a baron wasteland of flat, dusty land. In a far off corner, a large sewer opening spilled out into a pond. It was bared, but a wolf could easily slip through.

"A bit cliche, but I love it." Molly smiled at how easy this seemed. On all fours, she jumped into the sewer opening and slithered between the bars. "Come on, guys!"

Augustine gave Sheba a threatening look before he jumped in as well. If Sheba at any time seemed like she'd betray them, he was going to tear her throat out.

The hair on Molly's back stood up from the gut-wrenching stink of the sewer. The water was only up to their paws at the moment. She looked back at the two, her eyes reflecting what little light shined through. "Do you think everyone is ok?" she asked Augustine, wanting a little support.

"Don't get your hopes up," Augustine said and trotted in front of her.

Sheba rolls her eyes at the two of them. Trotting inside and in front of them both. "Well they definitely won't be dead unless they injured someone." She says with a cock of her head, said in a somewhat nonchalant way.

Molly, a bit offended by Sheba's comment, ran up and nudged her to the side, taking the lead once more. She wasn't going to let this egotistical puppy act like that. Molly felt that Sheba needed to know her place in a pack, below herself.

Augustine, who suddenly found himself in the back after having tried to force himself to the front gave a little growl and leaped forwards besides Molly, lip curled in a snarl, not believing the insolent girl behind them.

Sheba After being pushed aside and passed by both wolves simply follows. She didn't care either way. They could get lost all they wanted. The only thing anyone who was entering these tunnels for the first time would smell would be the crap beneath them. These outsider wolves were too uptight and worried about everything.

Molly picked up the pace, "Come on, we probably have a few miles yet." She looked at Augustine before starting a run.

The group ran down for a few miles until the tubes got smaller. Finally, they stopped at a metal, rusted ladder that led straight up for 20 feet or so. Molly shifted human and started the climb with the others. Eventually they emerged out of a drain pipe of a laboratory in the basement of the complex.

Augustine emerged not seconds after her and put his hands on his hips as he looked around. He ground his teeth anxiously as he searched the ceiling for cameras.

"Ack... I can't smell anything except for bleach and cleaners." Molly whispered, sneaking carefully towards the door. She leaned her back against the wall to peek around through the door's window. Though her back bumped against a light switch and lit the entire lab up. "Shit!" There were tubes of wolf organs along the right wall. Fur and blood had been washed off the metal tables and down the drain they had just climbed out of. There were small hints of flesh in the cracks of the floor and on the tables themselves.

Augustine flinched and shaded his eyes at the sudden burst of light but then he looked around with a look of disgust and horror. He was initially speechless, but then his lip curled into a snarl and a low growl rumbled deep in his throat.

Molly's eyebrows scrunched up in anger. She placed a hand on her stomach as she suddenly felt like vomiting. Turning away, Molly tried to regain herself. "Is there... anything we can use in here?"

"Unless you plan on fighting in human shape... No." Sheba says reaching up and touching a few of the glass jars gently. She shakes her head and walks to the door. Looking out quickly she takes a peek. "Looks like one the swivel kind. It looks down this hallway and the next. Shouldn't be too hard to get past it without being seen. If we take it out the human watching will know. Your plan oh mighty leader." Sheba says loking at Molly. She didn't have an attitude and wasn't as horrified as the other two. She simply seemed... well about the same really.

"Lea-?!" Augustine said pointing at Molly but cut off, overly frustrated. "And what the fuck are you talking about anyway?" he asked and shoved Sheba out of the way to look out the window. He spotted a slick little black camera slowly rotating back and forth. "Oh. Camera. Great. Well then..." he turned around and looked about the room. Hanging on the wall were some lab jackets. He walked up to them and snatched one off it's peg. He was very obviously agitated.

Molly perked up and looked at Augustine, "Oh- good idea. At least if they don't recognize us as workers, this can buy us time." She grabbed a coat and slid it on herself as well. "Guess we should act casual, huh?"

"Wait until the camera is pointed down the other hallway. Then follow the hallway down. We should be able to smell your companions." Sheba says pulling one off the hook for herself as well. "Do you both have a few of the bombs?"

Augustine's eyes went wide with disbelief and he looked at Molly. "I just..." He looked at Sheba and shook his head, unable to find the words for how annoyed and confused he was. "There is something wrong with her!" he said to Molly.

"Are you ill? We have nothing....perhaps don't read anything on this page before posting." Molly shot Sheba a confused look. "Well no matter. Thanks for taking us this far." She waved bye to the young wolf. After Sheba descended back down into the drain, Molly moved the lid back on top of the opening. "Well now that that's done... shall we continue?" she offered Augustine.

"Please," he said and glanced back at the drain with a cringe before he shook his head. He walked up to the door and placed his hand on the knob, looking out the window to time their exit.

Molly put her hands in her coat, trying to act natural. "Alright... let's go." She said and pushed open the door at the right time. As they walked down the hallway, she sniffed, "Smell anything yet?"

"Nothing but chemicals," he said, looking disgusted. "What the fuck are they doing here?"

"I don't know... but something tells me we should really hurry." Molly stopped at a door titled, "Containment center" She placed a hand on it and pushed slowly.

Augustine's nose flared and his eyes widened with horror. He froze, to terrified to walk through the door.

Molly sniffed, at least this smelled of wolf.....and blood. She hesitated entering and looked over her shoulder at Augustine. Without a word, Molly offered her hand to him. She was as scared to death as he was.

Something smelled... familiar. So familiar in fact, Augustine knew the very individual he was detecting. He hesitantly looked at her and her hand, then he took it. Normally he wouldn't have accepted this gesture, but right now he was more afraid than he had ever been and his pride was pushed somewhere down around his stomach.

Molly went right to the scent of the old wolf. She gasped and stepped back when she saw him. His fur was shaved all around his skull with a bloody rim around it. He was thin and weak, nearly close to expiring. He groaned, not bothering to look up at the two.

Augustine went white as a sheet when he saw him. He lurched a little, then a lot, then he grabbed his mouth and stumbled to the side, grabbing the bars of one of the cells, successfully containing his vomit but becoming extremely light headed as a result.

"S-smells it like the one." The dying wolf muttered aloud.

Molly's hands were shaking. What had they done to him?! She gulped and replied, "H-hello?"

He face up, unable to see through his sewn shut eyes. Drool spilled out of his mouth as if he was unable to feel or control it. The old wolf lifted it's snout and sniffed. "August-..." he faded.

Augustine's teeth chattered as his nerves began snapping. He pushed off of the bars and grabbed Molly's arm, pulling her towards the next door.

"Ack! Augustine!" Molly shouted as she was dragged out. Being so weak in the knees made it easy to pull her out.

"We have to find them," he said, pulling her along.

"Did you hear him? He said... no." Molly paused, "He knew you!"

"Think we should grab someone? Force them to tell us where they are?" he asked, slowing down and looking around, ignoring Molly outright.

Molly yanked her arm back, "Who was that?!"

"What? What the fuck does it matter? We have to find the others before they... like him," he nodded back towards the door. He was breathing quick and deeply, obviously bothered to hell.

It finally hit her. Molly looked down the hallway, to the room they were just in. "Was he... from your old pack?"

"What the fuck does it matter, Molly?! They could be dying!" Augustine yelled.

She fell silent for a moment, realizing what this meant and how he must be feeling. "I'm sorry." Molly placed a hand on his shoulder, thinking that perhaps he wasn't the hugging type or didn't like it when stressed.

He jerked his shoulder to push Molly's hand off. "Just shut up and act all... scientisty..." he said and continued on.

She frowned and stuck her hands in her pockets once more. Molly glanced up to a camera that was staring directly at them before continuing to follow Augustine.

"So..." said Augustine after some silence. "You didn't answer my question... about jumping somebody."

"Well yea, if we find anyone. It looks like everyone is done working for the day." Molly replied, walking along side of him now.

"There has to be security in a place like this," he observed.

Conveniently, the scent of a human and the sound of their footsteps clunked down the hall slowly from around the corner.

Molly elbows Augustine to be alert as they approached the corner.

For the first time since they got here, there was something to be happy about. Augustine eyed the walls for the cameras, thinking how much of a give away it would be if they clobbered someone in front of one. He did his best to be nonchalant as they turned the corner, as to not give themselves immediately away.

Trying the easy way, Molly approached the human, "Excuse me, but I switched from first shift." she started, lying perfectly. "Everything looks so different empty, could you tell me where the recent pack of wolves are being kept? The ones that were caught yesterday..."

Augustine had his hand already in his pocket, planning to take out his knife but he stopped and listened.

"Oh, it's the third examination room on the right just down the next hall over." The worker gestured, unsuspiciously.

"Thank you very much." Molly replied, leading Augustine down that direction.

The worker stared at them from behind as they walked together. When they turned the next corner, he snapped his fingers. He changed his initial course, now heading someplace else with a new purpose.

Augustine glanced back when he snapped and looked at Molly with a rather worried expression. "Let's speed up," he said.

Molly took to a run, the tail of her lab coat flying in the wind behind her. "Third on the right, third on the right..." she said under her breath. "That means they are alive right?"

"That might not be a good thing," said Augustine running beside her, remembering his old pack member.

Molly wished he hadn't said that. She suddenly stopped, "Here it is." Molly looked at it as if her life depended on it, "You ready?" she glanced at him, prepping herself mentally.

Augustine gave the door a hard look before he nodded and held his breath.

Looking at the door, she leaned closer to Augustine, scared. Placing a hand on the door, Molly hesitated to push it.

Augustine put his hand on top of hers. He looked at her with a stoney but subtly emotional face, then helped her push the door open.

2009-05-22 [Nuktae-tal]: ahahaha man... that kind of freaked me out when elfton wouldn't come up.

2009-05-22 [Chel.]: Someone post... or I'll gut you. :)

2009-05-22 [Nuktae-tal]: I was waiting on the other character

2009-05-23 [NOOOPE]: AH! I posted but mid post elftown died!!!!

2009-05-25 [NOOOPE]: Sorry, I was at my granny's all day. Tomorrow I'll be at Crank's overnight.

2009-05-25 [Nuktae-tal]: I tried getting on but elftown was down and then there was a baby party...

2009-05-26 [Chel.]: I'm thinking about having a little jump in this one, guys. We are already like... hours behind the other group when we need to be on the same page. I was thinking of jumping to the sewer opening of the complex, sound good with everyone?

2009-05-27 [NOOOPE]: Lovely idea

2009-05-27 [Synirria]: Who is she?

2009-05-27 [Chel.]: :]

2009-05-27 [NOOOPE]: I'll clarify.

2009-05-28 [Chel.]: Erm... not so keen on Sheba having keys and knowing the building layout... :/
Like I said, I'm letting her work on the outskirts of the compound or as a police dog. And the police are completely separate from the complex.
But Natale is really the only wolf I want really IN the business. Sorry love!

2009-05-29 [Nuktae-tal]: ...the compound means the layout of the complex. not the inside of the businesses. and she is most certianly ONLY a cleaner. she only has keys to access the office areas and the dog pens. but for general access is what the keys are for... like the first level of a three level security post?

2009-05-29 [Chel.]: Ok, my problem is that Natale(the wolf worker that was PLANNED) would've sniffed her out by now and imprisoned her.
Secondly, dogs would never be used in this sort of business against wolves.
Thirdly, this is a top secret, hush hush facility that wouldn't just hire someone off the street.

2009-05-30 [Chel.]: Besides, NONE of this is in her bio. I would never have accepted it if it were.

2009-05-30 [NOOOPE]: OKOKOKOKOK. My confusion is escalating out of control. So here's a list of things that don't make sense to me.

1. Chel already said they wouldn't use dogs at this place. Which makes sense, I mean, it's like using bobcats to guard lions. So what does sheba do job wise? And even if she was strictly dog duty, why would she have keys to anywhere but their pen, and how the hell would she know about the sewer? She just decide to jump down a manhole one day and explore?

2. This is a top secret facility. Outsiders have no idea what it is or what it does. Hell, it probably even has some sort of cover story. That being said, does it make any sense at all that a girl off the street, with a part time underling job would know anything about what the facility was used for? If every hired hand knew what was going on... wouldn't everyone in the city know and therefore, wouldn't it no longer be top secret? Wouldn't that conflict with the fact that the general public thinks wolves are totally extinct?

3. Wolves have extremely sharp senses, especially when it comes to other wolves. If Sheba had free reign of any section of the compound, her lingering smell would alert Natale at once. He's not just good for interpreting wolf body language and pheromones, he's kindova watch dog.

4. I thought Sheba cleaned the dog cages for the city police.... not these guys. This place wasn't mentioned in her bio. It actually conflicts with her bio. The city police have nothing to do with this place.

5. After somehow catching wind that this facility captures wolves and does who knows what to them, wouldn't it be logical for Sheba to be nervous, or at least empathetic towards her species? She seems to not give a shit.

6. Story wise... isn't it a little too convenient that the first person augy and molly talk to after the pack was captured knows everything they need to know? It seems a bit silly and unrealistic to me.

I am easily upset by plot holes. I apologize.
