Name: Phineas Rider

Species: Human

Age: 29

Description: Rider stands at an imposing 6'5" though he hunches/slouches to make himself appear under 6'. He has deep blue eyes that invoke trust, and can pierce you to your soul should he glare. His hair is a dusty/sandy blonde that rivals the sands of the ________ desert. He's moderately built, preferring to have stamina, agility, and speed in a fight rather than overwhelming strength. Rider wears a long light brown cloak with a hood over his traditional leather armor. He would prefer something sturdier than leather, but in the desert, anything heavier was suicidal.

Personality: He was born and raised to be a soldier, though he never really wanted such a thing. Despite this, he is an incredulous tactician, and exceptional warrior. He takes pride in his abilities, but wishes for a day when they won't be necessary anymore. He is caring and loyal, and would defend his loved ones with his dying breath. He keeps his calm at all times, it is both reassuring and unsettling at the same time. Rider tries his hardest to keep attention off of him in most settings, finding it easier to retreat from danger when that danger doesn't notice you; as well as making it easier to strike one's opponent, when their attention is elsewhere.

History: Rider was born and raised into a family that lived and died for their Emperor's protection. From a young age, he was taught the variety of martial arts that make him so agile. He has had daily weapons training since he was the age of seven. However, being from a privileged family, war was not the only subjected he was permitted to study. When he was not found training with hands, weapons, or animals, he was often found in the Palace library. He read all sorts of works ranging from historical archives, poetry, to even the census itself. It mattered not to him. He sought knowledge in its purest form.
Anything he could learn, he would. There was an entire year that he once spent simply working with the Palace servants, learning their menial tasks until he able to do them habitually. He wished for assistance from no man. He was always head strong, and always listened to his heart. For instance, he found the yearly fox hunts to be atrocious, called it unsporting to the fox. He did not disagree with the fundamentals of the hunt, but rather that killing only for pleasure was wrong. And he enforced his opinion fiercely. It mattered not to him if the men were royalty or commoners. If he saw injustice, he fought to correct it.
Being as young as he was, it came as a shock when, one day, the Emperor himself summoned him to a hearing. He had wanted the young man's opinion on the dispute. As it turned out, the reason he had not been killed for his overly zealous opinions, was that the Emperor had agreed with him. The royals who had been caught by Rider, shouldn't have been doing what he had caught them doing. His majesty had had Phineas under observation ever since the first complaint came to him. He saw great potential in the boy, and had essentially decreed him off-limits to retribution, stating that "If a man of such character found fault with whatever it was you were doing, you were lucky he did not slay you, rather than granting you the chance to redemption." He had paused and glared at the men in question and added, "I would not have been so lenient."

Strength(s): Rider has been trained and schooled all his life as an Imperial Knight, and thus is strong in the arts of combat, both armed and unarmed, mounted as well as on foot. He carries a scimitar, short sword, and long bow. He is expertly trained, as all Imperial Knights are, in each of the weapons. His agility is his second greatest strength, allowing him to move in manners most would be hard pressed to accomplish. His greatest strength would be his analytical mind; always analyzing every little detail of a plan, seeing through any falsehoods and flaws, and working around them to achieve his goals, which remain secret to all but him.

Weakness(es): Being raised in the desert had brought many hardships to Rider and his people, but being raised as an Imperial Knight, inside the Palace, he was saved from the majority of them. However, being in the desert did leave him with a distinct disadvantage. He has no knowledge of how to swim, having no substantial body of water, it was rather understandable. He sees it as a weakness and would greatly like to abolish this minor annoyance from his character. Though he does not consider his overly good nature as being a weakness, his ability to trust first has gotten him into trouble before.
