Appearance: With storm gray eyes, he looks very wise and experienced but the reality is all too obvious when he meets others.His clothes are generally a combination of various animal skins but he wears them well and he is very rarely seen without them. His black hair drapes down to his shoulders in black clumps and is rarely cut or cut well. He usually only cuts enough off to be able to see unobstructed.

Personality: Samuel has a sense of concentration that is unrivaled within his village and it allows for free control over his power. It also generated a fair amount of overconfidence in himself and his powers. He has a tendency to pick fights to test his power and to bully less experienced opponents. His brother usually keeps him in check when he's in the village.

Background: Born in a small unnamed human village on the Korr Spiral island chain, Samuel was bestowed water-borne powers by the god, Azullion. His older brother, Jarred, was bestowed opposing powers by chance and is a flora-borne. As they grew older and learned to control their powers, their parents pushed them to train with each other and through training, they were able to bring about physical manifestations of their powers.

Jarred learned to create thorny vines that encased his body with sharp tips that oozed a mild paralyzing poison. He was also able to wield cacti needles as small, albeit fragile, daggers. Samuel's powers, by comparison, were much less deadly but he was not interested in constant battling for life and death. He merely wanted to prove that he was a more competent fighter and on average won as many training fights as he lost with his brother.

Now with only his bearskin coat, loincloth, and serrated blade named Kris, he ventured outward into the world. There would be no turning back for him as he hated to look towards the past. His brother had left the village two years earlier, so he would seek him out first.

Special Qualities: Samuel's control over water has been honed since he was a small youth and it has culminated in his current control over the element. He has free control over the liquid form of water and through inherited spells can draw enough water from the air to fill a small pouch when needed. In the most extreme cases, he can draw water from his own blood to quench his thirst.

Weapon(s): When needed, Samuel can form small tendrils of water around his fingers that act as a form of claws. The tendrils can't stop a sword but through practice, he has been able to boil the water at the tips causing heavy burns when touching skin and heating iron and steel blades to the point of burning the wielder. He always carries a small serrated blade in the small of his back but it is very rarely used for fighting.

Weakness(s): Samuel has a weakness for women and wearing his heart on his shoulder. He is consistently working to keep himself from staying single for more than a few days and it has led to more than a few heartbreaks along the way. He cannot bring himself to find fault in the women that he falls for so even in the most abusive relationships; he takes it out upon himself in the form of scars that line his upper arms and back.
