Character Name:

Scavrous

Race:

Xiox

Age:

133 standard years. In this form.

Personality:

A cunning and brutal field marshal and admiral. To the outward appearance, his loyalty is to the Hive and his queen. The truth is that his loyalty is only to the Hive, and he feels the queen has weakened the Hive with her avoidance of breeding. If she were to die, the hive would be without a queen, and likely a brutal civil war from the Nobel cast would follow. In addition to his role as a warrior, and his skills having made him a commander, Scavrous is a brilliant genetic scientist and loves to experiment on any race his fleet comes across. He often orders his warriors to take live prisoners for his amusement and experiments, and then genetic assimilation.

Weapons:

Scavrous is a master of genetic weaponry, and has designed many new broods of his own species to fight. A large amount have never been seen by the Xiox before now. From hordes of ravenous ripper swarms, to massive warriors that can spew bio plasma--even Scavrou's own talons--his weapons are brutal, and designed to horrify his prey. Much of his own Swarm and brood are maddened killing machines totally loyal to the scent of Scavrous, and the small number he allows to keep their mind and sanity. Between that and the light psychic control, his rabid dog of a fleet is kept in control.

Appearance:

Scavrous is just over twelve feet tall, and his exoskeleton is strong enough to stop almost all human Small Arms. It even offers light protection from the larger artillery.

History:

Scavrous is called "the Immortal" amongst his own warriors (the ones that are still in their right state of mind, anyway), as he is much older than his kin. He is not a mere hundred and thirty-three, but pushing the age of six hundred years. Scavrous was considered a weak warrior when he was born, but what he lacked in physical force, he made up for in mental ability and will. So much so that he took to the sciences. His brilliance was untouched by even the closest of his race. He discovered how to transfer genetic changes to a new body. He then grew a new body from the genetic material of the strongest warriors he could outsmart and crush with his planning. After forging his new body, Scavrous transferred himself to the new body by cocooning himself to the head of his new body and eating the brain of the host head. Then, over weeks, his own brain transferred into the new host body.

Now with brute power and devious intelligence, Scavrous made his way up the ranks. The name Scavrous is said to be a title reserved for the current commander of his own army: the Hive Fleet, of which he has named "Hive Fleet Immortal." The reality is that Scavrous had been exchanging his body for new bodies, better bodies, and keeping himself alive long enough to possibly take the throne.

Though this is only made a problem by the queen's unwillingness to breed. This makes it impossible for him to take the hive at its current state. He needs a queen to place atop the throne, and for this he needs the genetic material of one of the queen's children. As they are hatched in clusters, it would be simple enough in theory to send an agent to her nest and take a few eggs to get the material needed, and learn more of the genetic control.

scavrous has grown impatient waiting for his queen to birth new children, and though for the last five hundred years he has hidden away from the court as much as possible, he has decided to make an appearance before his queen and try to convince her to breed.

If all else fails, his next project may be all that is needed... Though it is a last resort, and the idea disturbs even him.

Scavrous has been having fun with the humans so far, and his warriors used a bioweapon he had been working on after the last campaign they fought. It was used to great effect against a race of aliens who were resestante to the normal Xiox thraling. The weapon infects and rather then just changing brain chemistry to be receptive to the pheromones and control. It causes a rapid and painful mutation over the course of a few days. Scavrous used this weapon on the people of Europe. Using one in ever capital from London to Moscow. The use of the weapon resolves in the much lighter resestance in the region as the bio bombs mutated spone then group up and have the urge to hunt the flesh of there own species. Scavrous still has the ability to do this to humans, but will not use any more of the bombs, as he fears what might happen if one of the other Xiox commanders troops were to be hit with this weapon.

Other:

Scavrous has reworked the genetic markers of his own monstrous legion, and made them stronger, and also made them able to ignore the queen's orders and pheromones. Instead, they are loyal only to his orders and pheromones. This is not known by the rest of his race, as his fleet is always out hunting new prey and worlds. Scavrous is loyal to the queen for the time being, but despises her for not breeding new life into the Hive, and leaving no one to take her place.

2016-07-27 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: Hmmm... very interesting. so it's a villain behind the villain. I like it...

2016-07-27 [Asdroth]: There a kind of race I see attempting power grabs now and then(if not just in the royalty eating each other) but he is a bit upset. Thinking on it. He has watched many queens come and go, but never once has the hive had to go with out one. Now the queen is two hundred, has not hatched any younglings, and if not by natural causes then by combat she may die, and send the hive into civil war... That he can not allow. So he hatched a plan to try to puppet the throne. I just played up the evil a bit. ;P

2016-07-27 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: Very nice. Lol. It would also keep the RP interesting with more than one enemy and alternate plot line.

2016-07-27 [Asdroth]: I agree with that :)

2016-07-27 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: This is actually a huge relief because I can only handle playing evil and vindictive for so long. ^^" I'm bad at it.

2016-07-27 [Asdroth]: I find myself a bit good at it, and I don't know if that says to much about the real me ;) but I was trying to resest the urge to play a baddy when I saw we could play the invading species, but after noting the shortage, and on top of that the fact the Ciox are bug like... I could not help myself.

2016-07-27 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: Lol no, I'm grateful for your skill here. XD

As with the last one, I'll tweak the page for consistency, and then add him to the roster.

2016-07-27 [Asdroth]: Yay!
