The Massacre of the mage city of Anthaeon was vast. Many of the nobles slain. The royal family murdered, the Prince kidnapped. But by some miracle the Princess escaped..
The land, still owned by the mages, wanted by the creatures and their mysterious master. The whispers from the underground say that a mighty sum will be paid for the head of this Princess but it will only be paid to those who are worthy. Not just anyone can go in for such a prize.
Those who seek the prize must be tested. They cannot just go in for it whence they please. Only fate can tell well they will pass or fail. Are they worthy or are they not?
Though why, other than the land, should this girl be murdered or obtained? No one knows. No one knows.
A struggle for dominance, power. What do they want from her? There is something about her they do not want alive. But what?
Though she isnt in hiding, they still cannot get to her. The mages placed most of their power behind keeping her safe. It worked.
The creatures are plotting in the underground, no one knows much about them, they only know of their presence. All are aking why. All are wondering who will come out of this alive.
