The Grand Stage of Silukal
If you see a faery ring
In a field of grass,
Very lightly step around,
Tip-Toe as you pass,
Last night faeries frolicked there....
And they're sleeping somewhere near.
If you see a tiny faery,
lying fast asleep
Shut your eyes
And run away,
Do not stay to peek!
Do not tell
Or you'll break a faery spell.
William Shakespear
Devoted as they are to the performing arts of all types, yet especially music and dance, it is hardly surprising that the ancestral home of House Mrriv is first and foremost a great hall of performing. The main building is buildt around a huge open amphitheatre, with perfect aucoustics and enough room for thousands. Even the common fey who usually lives in the mortal world come here to wiew the best there is to see in Faƫrie.
The rest of the Stage is a huge collection of sandstone buildings topped by fantastic bulbs of glass (think Kreml-like). They are filled with countless other stages, autditoriums and practicing halls, in addition to the usual living quarters and such. The Matriarch herself rules from the glass minaret, which is opaque, and towers high into the sky. From there she can see most of the surroundings, which are the golden-red of early autumn.
The environs are high hills and mountains, separated by thick and impenetrable clumps of trees with ever-red leaves. Countless amphitheatres are dotted across the hillsides, and the fey dance continually on the open plains.
