After walking from Sanctuary into downtown, Tacia kept her eyes open as she watched everyone walking by. She was trying to find someone, but finding people in the middle of the city when she only had scent to go on and no idea where to find them, it wouldn't be easy. Maman would also frown upon the wolfswan making deals with a Daimon, but since Acheron couldn't be bothered with things like this, small things that meant little to the Dark Hunter, she would search out the half Daimon, Tiberius.

Tiberius now in hawk form, shook himself from a restful sleep. Despite the ferocity of previous nights' battle, he was feeling quite good, if a little sore. He looked out from his perch into downtown, and keeping an eye out for trouble. He fanned his feathers, making sure the mischievous humans near by didn't get to close.

That smell was unmistakable. Tacia glanced upwards, her breathing increasing ever so slightly. Oh, did she know that smell, with Carson so nearby, the smell of Hawk was easy to discern, even among all the humans. Looking around for where the source of the smell was, she spotted the Hawk not far from where she was. But Tacia hesitated to approach. He was part Daimon, after all, and no one could be certain how they would react to a were hunter, especially a mixed breed like her whose magic was as of yet untapped.

The Daimon alerted Tiberius to the presence, making him more alert friend or foe is the true question he pondered, pecking at a hand that got to close and scanning the crowd. The Humans where wearing on his patience quicker than normal.

Seeing the Hawk didn't move at her approach, Tacia continued forward until she was near enough for the Hawk to see her intent to approach. She was certain that he would question her or some such manner, and if the Hawk couldn't speak mind to mind, she would find it hard to hold a conversation.

Tiberius looked one of the humans square in the eye "Boo" he chuckled as they ran off in terror. His gaze returned to Tracia I have neither reason nor intention to fight Katagaran, and though i'm Arcadian that changes nothing. Speak plainly the animal part of him wasn't one for what it saw as winded greetings. He edged to the tip of the branch.

Tacia hesitated. He was definitely able to use more power than she was willing to attempt, but she approached anyway. I was looking for someone I could make a sort of deal with. She rubbed her hands together. As often as she was in human form, it still felt funny and she itched to be in beast form.

To put her at ease, the Hawk shimmied down the tree and stood just out of kicking range I'm listening a breeze caused Tiberius' feathers to ruffle. His movements where stiff on account of the last fight. Hunger gnawed slightly at him, but this made him more alert.

Staring at him in confusion, Tacia couldn't help but ask the next question. How can you hold beast form while injured? Catching herself, she waved her hand. Sorry, that is not why I am here. I was trying to find someone who can help me find someone else. Someone who has been missing my entire life.

Spend enough time in your own beast form and you won't find it so hard. It's more or less more comfortable than as a Human Tiberius watched a group of humans walking not to far away I can try an help, though i can't promise anything

As a Katagaria, of course my beast form is more comfortable. It is this form, She gestured at her human form, that I cannot stand. I am searching through time to find my mother. It was something she had been doing most of her life after escaping the wolf pack.

The Hawk stared at her for a moment Searching through time? Or perhaps i am not understanding you correctly she had Tiberius' full attention, not easy to do for the hawk. He contemplated scaring the Humans but decided against it for the moment.

I was born with the ability to travel through time. Tacia wasn't sure how much to tell him. It comes from my father's pack, and he stole me from my mother in a time away from ours. However, my main problem is that once I am at the time I plan on searching in, I haven't the power to protect myself fully.

The Falcon paused as he processed what she was saying So you want me to be a body guard? he already imagined the other Arcadians who would have fought him for so much as confirming her request, let a long considering excepting. Tiberius let curiosity get the better of him and if i where to say yes, what exactly is it that you want from me?

Someone to make sure I'm not eaten, to make sure my powers are not absorbed by the wrong person, Tacia said with a frown. I know that it is better to ask my own people, but I am a half breed and without a true family. So it is better for me to ask someone who is outside the packs but know enough to keep me safe. So I turn to a Daimon who has Arcadian blood.

Tiberius stiffened slightly at the mention of his curse getting nibbled on is not fun, but yes....so long as i know how to preform the task than i will accompany you. I bear no allegiance to a pack or clan. Mine was destroyed and the descendants disowned me so no baggage there. Sooner or later i'm to find Ravyn but that won't be for some time yet

Ravyn? Tacia asked, her hands clenching. Dark Hunter Ravyn? She wanted to clarify that this was the same Ravyn they were speaking of. Ravyn was almost like a sister to Tacia, treating her better than most others except Acheron, and that was only because Simi was addicted to Tacia's presence.

Who else? he looked as if the name was all to familiar to him i'm tired of being hunted by Daimons. For some reason one of them always gets it in their head that they can wrench this ugly curse out of me...believe me i'd let them if it where possible without killing the both of us Tiberius saw the same human he had scared off return with two of his friends looking for him

Slipping into a nearby alleyway, Tacia shifted into her timbre wolf form and came out of the alley, sniffing at the humans as they approached. She was having a hard time not slipping into her hybrid form, but this would work. The humans would see the wolf and probably run for it. Her lips came back as she bared her teeth slightly. Humans are so irritating, she said offhandedly. Would you like to get out of here?

Tiberius nodded One moment...sorry, i really can't resist he walked up to the humans "Hey look at this bird and its feathers" Tiberius paused "Excuse me? I happen to not only be an it, but a male but also take pride in my feathers!" after a rude gesture from the falcon the two humans just stared at him as he flew over to Tracia now i'm ready

Tacia actually stared for a moment, eying the humans as she readied herself for the jump through time. It would take more energy than she had ever used before, but she was prepared for it. Taking a hold of Tiberius with her teeth, she pulled him into the alley to make her jump.

The Falcon squawked initially in protest Tiberius sighed "Well then...are we ready?" his voice held a slightly agitated tone. He didn't like being held in the mouth of anything, particularly a large animal he hardly knew. He glanced around the alley way "So where to now?"

With a growl, Tacia tapped into her powers and began the transfer back in time. She struggled with the extra weight of Tiberius and his soul, but her power was high enough to get them from the twenty first century to the fifteenth.

Tiberius shook himself free from her grip as soon as they where through. The air smelled different, cleaner would be the word but he could almost feel the uncertainty Nice place....where exactly are we?

Sixteen fourty-two, Tacia said after a moment. She seemed less than thrilled to be there. This is the last place I had been checking before I was attacked by some rather demented Arcadians.

Arcadians? Sounds like i'm in for a party already Tiberius perched on her shoulder What kind where they? he wondered, hoping he'd at least get to enjoy the scenery before having to deal with his own kind, and by obscure extension the Daimon.

Wolves mostly. But there is also a pack of jackals running around as well. Tacia for the most part didn't trust Arcadians as far as she could throw them. To make matters worse, she was looking for just such a tribe. The Arcadian snow leopards would know where the Katagarian leopards were hiding.

That shouldn't be a problem....i just hope i don't get torn to shreds by a pack of vengeful Katagarian he turned back into his human form. Tall, but looked more or less like an exotic traveler it's easier for me to use my abilities in this form...not to mention it's somewhat irritating arcing lightning off of feathers...they tend to burn

Making a face, Tacia shifted back into her human form. She had never been fond of her body's limitations. They will not harm you. Not so long as you travel with me.

He sighed, keeping most of his face covered It has been a while since i've seen the country side, much less something like this, if being in your human form is uncomfortable for you than remain as you where. It won't bother me As Tiberius walked, the gentle, quiet rattle of chains followed him. His weapon of choice. With keen eyes he picked out the details from afar, making a mental foot note of any towns, villages, or Castles near by.

With her eyes searching, Tacia shook her head at his suggestion. She pointed at a village a short distance away. The wolves live there. If we are extremely lucky, they didn't sense us come in. Tacia started walking in the opposite direction from the village, holding out her hands to help balance herself as she made her way down the hill.

He kept an eye on the village How many? he didn't like the prospect of dealing with Wolf Arcadians. Hard to out run and notoriously hard to reason with. Tiberius figured he'd just as soon as be hunted down along with Tacia Lead the way

Tacia glanced at Tiberius before shifting into her snow leapard form, revealing to him her rare second form and part of the reason most people didn't help her. Enough to cause Savitar to have to come fetch me. Anyone who called themselves were hunter knew that Savitar was the one person who could keep the packs from attacking someone. Tacia was immensely glad he had a soft spot for her.

The name sounded familiar, but Tiberius was simply to busy taking in the scenery and adjusting to the time jump to pay much attention. He was a little uneasy, part of him wanted the wolves to show themselves as he began picking up on the scent where are we headed to?

Arcadian Snow Leapard Regis. He lives alone in these lands, but will kill me on sight. Tacia had no illusions on the matter. Most of her own people wanted her dead. The Arcadian leader of her kind would be no different. Ans unfortunately Tacia would not be able to even attempt to talk her way out of it.

If he's going to kill you on sight than....oh..I'm guessing that my part will either be interrogator or deterrent? Tiberius paused, it didn't bother him. He'd come across Leopards before. He made his way slowly, in no hurry. He was a falcon though, in a rush for nothing and painfully observant of near everything.

Tacia looked back at him, her cat face crinkling as she reached the flatlands. Preferably a deterrent if it comes to that. I cannot speak to him in normal ways, so unfortunately that will fall to you as well.

"Maybe it will come to that, or perhaps it won't. Either way i am ready for it. The wolves do not concern me, only the mess that would follow should they decide to make a nuisance of themselves" Tiberius sighed, his voice was toneless though his movement was relaxed i was beginning to grow tired of the city....not to mention a damned Daimon decided she wanted to turn my feathered ass into a chew toy. Didn't work out quite as she'd expected...but for the moment one less bother to worry about

Tacia started off at a slow trot towards where the leopard lived. She pondered on what Tiberius said. The wolves worry me. My father's first mate was one of their daughters. That she died in childbirth, which is why I was able to be born, is blamed on my father and any children he has begotten.

Tragedy that your mother died, but seriously aren't there more pressing matters to be concerned with other than faulting your Father for something that wasn't his doing? How frivolous Tiberius paused Sorry, it just seems that while yes it is something to be sad about....the threat of human intervention or Daimon attack would seem more pressing at least when it comes to out right killing

She wasn't my mother, she was a wolf. My mother was a leopard. Tacia didn't pause in her walking, her ears and nose searching for signs of movement. My father kidnapped and raped both women. And we Katagaria don't usually bother with Daimons because mostly they don't bother us. We have big families who will seriously kick some Daimon ass if they mess with one of us.

"And that would bring us to why the way between the two of us got started....boredom" Tiberius humphed "You're father sounds like quite a character if i may be so bold, but i wonder why the Daimons don't band together in such large numbers" the falcon began musing openly "One would think that you would first eliminate the top predators so that in turn it would be a free for all on the cattle we all call humanity"

Because it wouldn't matter. Were hunters are some of the few of us creatures who can go out into the sunlight. Daimons cannot rule the humans because they and us still have the sun. Tacia made a sound like a growling laugh. She leaped over a stone only to be tackled to the ground by a dark brown wolf.

Tiberius flitted behind the wolf, picking it up by the scruff of its neck "Hello" he smiled, sending a violent shock into the creature before throwing it. He made no move to draw his weapon "Anyone else want to have a go?" he asked, arms outstretched to any of the others who might be near by "I am Arcadian, She is under my protection. Attack her, and I can't promise you'll live to regret it"

A female wolf stepped out in human form near where Tacia now lay, her paw twisted. "She is our Katagarian cousin and a Slayer. She is our responsibility." Tacia growled at the woman, but two more wolves appeared with her, and in addition to the one on the ground, that made four plus any they couldn't see. I'm sorry, Tiberius. I had been hoping to avoid them.

"If she does not wish to come with you, and if you think you are capable of doing so by force then" Tiberius smiled "You are more than welcomed to" he was calm, he knew the fight either way would be over soon. The Daimon would stir Tracia, i gave you my word i would protect you. If you do not wish to go with them then stand a little off to the left. I won't kill them, i have no desire to suffer those consequences

With a nod from the woman, the two wolves flanking her jumped at Tiberius. The woman grabbed Tacia by her neck, dragging the snow leopard towards the trees. Tacia twisted frantically in her grip, not willing to use any of her powers because it would attract even more attention.
