Bangkok from our hotel. It was four-star - that is to say, seriously expensive!
Christmas decorations in the hotel lobby. I WANT THAT HOUSE! :'O
This just shows you what kind of people the Thai are. All their airports are thriving with decorations and orchids!
Taken in Chiang Mai airport
Yes, this is a three-star hotel... can't you tell? :P
a nice little park just outside the hotel.
If anyone can tell me which God this is, I'd be very appreciative..
.
I took the lift to the top floor to get a photo. I hope you like it - the lift's circuits fried and took me on two more joy-rides up and down before it let me out!
another gingerbread house! Don't you just want to live here?
Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand
Birds of a feather flock together...
The pandas having lunch ^_^ so cute!
Me at Mork Fa waterfall. Thankfully, you can't see what a disaster my hair was.
A cave at Mork Fa. I was looking for bats. Didn't find any. :(
The jungles of Northern Thailand... these paths are beautiful, but not for the faint-footed.
That's the tour-group! on the right is Bobby, our tour guide. My dad is the second from the left. The others are French travellers whose names I never really caught.
A village we stopped by...
King Rama IX was here ^_^
A termite's nest. Don't sit on it or you'll get attacked, my dad said. And he refused to take a picture of me sitting on it. :(
Two really cool intertwined trees. I call them Tristan and Isolde.
some parasitic plant is growing on that tree... but even minus that, it's a beautiful canopy. One doesn't often think of just stopping and looking up...
All the world's a very, very narrow bridge...
Breakfast! Hmm, I see scrambled eggs and toast! Yummy!
Where we slept. While I did so, the potentially flea-ridden cat of the village decided it wanted to be my pillow. Fortunately, either the cat didn't have fleas, or my citronella oil was working miracles.
Farewell, dear village... the road goes ever on.
A clearing after the forest. Hmm, what is that in your hand, Bobby? :P
Aha! A fishing rod!
Two cute pups. Oh, the sun was in the wrong place, too.
The local merchants attacked us... especially after I took the photo.
What are we using to get to the next village?
You guessed it! All aboard!
'Tis a long and arduous journey (and the seats are uncomfortable!)
