The Gypsy Morph; Terry Brooks review

The last in the series, this book is about Hawk and the Ghosts and the elves of the Cintra being led away to a safe-haven for when the world is destroyed. It also centers around the two remains Knights of the Word and their struggles.

While I liked this book overall, I feel like there is little in the way of character development with these books. I felt nothing, really, toward any of the characters except for Cat (new in this book) and Panther, and perhaps a little for Wills who only showed up in two whole chapters of the book.

Findo Gask? Yeah, he's a bad guy, but so what? Hawk, leader, and Tess, his beloved? ...Eh. Nothing. I suppose I felt something for Owl and Candle as well, but they didn't develop much either. Where did the voices come from that Candle hears? Is Owl still the mother to the children? What about their mantra, being the children who haunt what their parents have ruined?

However, I do home something more is written in this timeline of events. I want to know what else happens, and I'm willing to give Mr. Brooks another chance.

*Edit* - Also, more characters dying with no reason and no real emotional reaction. :/ How sad.
