Satyrs

One of the more famous types of Fey, the Satyr looks like a man, but with the fur and legs of a goat from his stomach and down. They also have the horns of a goat. They are wild creatures, with no specific agenda beyond indulging in their passions.

They are well known for their wild parties and feasts, and their favorite instrument is the flute, specifically the pan-flute. Indeed, Pan himself is either the most famous Satyr or their God, depending on your point of wiew. They are emotional creatures to the extreme, and are notorious for chasing women whether consensual or not.

They prefer warm climates, and live in secluded forests. They have no home, but roam around wildly, and are never found with others except at the aforementioned parties. Strangely enough, though a satyr can be both a horny old goat and raving mad reveller, he can also be a philosopher and scolar. Indeed, many of them alternate between the three stages, thinking and pondering until they grow tired, then dance until they want a girl. Then repeat.

Satyrs seldom have any specific function in fey society, but they are often valued as councilors, and no Sidhe or noble Fey would dream of hosting a party without a satyr to liven things up with music and wild tales.
