In the oceans of Marre there are many islands, pirates and chests filled with treasure; adventure is in the very air. There are damsels in distress and wenches who will show any sailor a good time; this is what the world has come to. Nations and armies are non existent, only individual island militias.

The Marre used to be peaceful, simple fishing villages on every coast; it was much simpler times before the Rebellions started to happen. The kingdoms were divided by islands; the larger ones were the capitol cities. Then the royalty started to tax and oppress their people and that drove most of the inhabitants to rebel. Now all of the islands are there own communities; all with there own secrets and treasures.

The captain of The Lyre is at the dockside tavern The Weeping Wench and is looking for a crew to brave the waters of Abandoned Island to find the great treasure there. Beware for hostile pirates and those who reside there will not easily part with it.

The Lyre is a wooden ship with twelve cannons, six on either side. There is a captain's quarters, first mate's quarters and the rest of the crew sleep in hammocks under deck. The usual amount of crew members aboard The Lyre is around six to eight. The Lyre used to be a trading ship but after the endless amount of wars being waged on the Marre it was converted to a fast, sleek messenger vessel.
