The Face of a Stranger
Written by [pegasus1000]
Faces we pass every day
Shells of soles hidden within
Do you see them?
The magic about children
Who pulls people in
Demanding to be seen
The teen sitting on a bus keeping
To themselves, and to the
Music only they can hear
A woman in a wheel chair
You see more easily
Perhaps for her deformity
Homeless and cold
Holding a sign that says
God Bless You
Just as the sun on your skin
Goes unnoticed, these faces drift
Away like a breath on the wind
