Kingdom Armoury

Once inside, the other customers were kicked out, and Qusar spoke to the shopkeeper. "I want some weaponry and armor. Now."

A short, stout man walked into the room through a set of double doors that lead to a back room. The man was rather burly, with golden hair and blue eyes. "What can I help ye with? By the way, the name's Arien" The short man said as he wiped his greasy hands on a rag and then throwing it on the counter.

Lord Qusar looked at the man, and without greeting back he stated his order. "A star mace for myself, a Gothic Axe for the Lochmorian, a naginata for Wasswa here, a claw for the shaman, and an arbalest for the woman. And while we're at it, a composite longbow for Wasswa as well."

"That'd be 565 gold for the all of you." Arien said, a little surprised at the large demand, as he walked to the back of the store to look for the weapons.

Qusar took the gold out of the little chest Leif was carrying around. Going over the box, he mentioned: "Allright, that would leave us 60GP, but we'll sell your old items which you don't need anymore."
Turning back to the Smithy he continued. "And now I'd like to sell some items as well. Namely: a staff, a Hunter Bow, a Dagger, and a Hand Axe. And wait, cancel that claw, I just realised Byron here doesn't need it, he has one already."

"Alright then, I can give you 48 gold for your old weapons and take 110 off your total, so that'll be 407 gold." Arien said as he ticked off the numbers in his head.

Qusar put some of the gold back in the chest, and gave the remaining 407 to the shopkeeper. "It's too much if you ask me, but I'm in a hurry. It seems Lady Luck is on your side, today... But, perhaps for that amount of gold, you could also tell me where I could get some decent armor. I'd rather see the squire using a tower shield and wearing a brigandine than that piece of sheepskin he has to do with now. Of course, I'd also immediatly sell the piece of sheepskin."
he figured the latter was a logical consequense of buying better armor to replace the old, but he wasn't sure on the intelligence of this man, although he had to admit he was a good calculator.

"Aye, ye can buy your armor right here, there are no other stores around here that sell weapons or armor." Arien said.

"Good, that'll save alot of trouble then. I wish to sell Leif's leather armor and buy a brigandine and a tower shield." Qusar replied, somewhat annoyed the man didn't get to the order straight away.

"That'd be 155 Gold for that order," Arien said as he stepped into the backroom to get the armor.

Lord Qusar threw the bag of coins on the counter, and as he recieved the armor he made Leif put it on, and take the Tower Shield. "Let's return to those scumbags. I want to see some blood now..."

Lord Amadea and company entered the armory. "Master Smith," said the young nobleman. "We require your services."

The short smith stepped to the counter, "Aye, what can I do fer ya?" Arien asked.

"Let me start by asking this," said Lord Amadea. "Are there any conventional weapons and armor you do not sell?"

"I am the only merchant of these realms, so it is my duty to offer you anything you could ever want," Arien said.

Lord Amadea thought carefully, looking at each of his followers. "All right," he said. "First of all, we're selling our three shortbows, 60 arrows, and spear. Secondly, I'd like to make the following purchases. I'd like a pike for Stonewall, repeating crossbows and aketons for myself, Sh'nik, and Jan, 60 bolts, dividing evenly amongst the three of us, a battle axe, robes, and catfolk wickershield for Wassawa, and two leather helms, for Wassawa and Stonewall."

Stonewall, clearly bored, whistled tunelessly and made shadow puppets on the back wall of Arien's shop.

"Aye, I can give ye 68 gold for all of that, and your order comes to 730 gold, so that's 662 gold for your order," Arien said, looking at Stonewall, who appeared to be missing part of his brain or something from a bar fight or something.

"Right," said Lord Amadea, following Arien's gaze to Stonewall. "Just ignore him. He is a special lad, to use Wasswa's words." Amadea counted out the money and handed it to the smith along with the old equipment. I suppose I'll try and get my hands on a potion or two with what's left, he thought, seeing his treasury rapidly depleted.

"Aye, thank you," Arien said, "And if you be in need of potions, here be the place to get them."

"How fortuitous," commented Wassawa.

"How much do they cost," said Lord Amadea. "We have little enough coin at the moment."

"It is 30 gold for lesser healing potions and 60 gold for a regular healing potion," Arien said.

"I suppose we will take two lesser one," said Amadea. "One for myself, and one for Wasswa." He handed 60 gold coins to Arien.

"'Ere you go," Arien said, pulling down two vials of a clear, red liquid from a shelf directly behind him.

Lord Amadea took the vials and handed one to Wassawa before pocketing the other. With that, the party left the shop and returned to the Kingdom Square.

[Lepellier]: well, you have 625 gold in total, so you know.

[Lepellier]: And you may want some arrows.

[Lepellier]: *cough*Arrows and bolts*cough*

[Lepellier]: Umm, What should that've came up to in total price?

[Jay Ladlehaus]: If pirates is anything to gauge by, they're pretty damn expensive. What kind of gear do my people have to start with?

[Lepellier]: The typical starting gear for each class, you also have 750 gold for your army. I won't be able to keep RP'ing tonight, but I'll take care of it tomorrow.

[Jay Ladlehaus]: um, okay. Do you want me to go ahead and add that gear to my guys?

[Lepellier]: please do, it will help me a lot.

[Jay Ladlehaus]: right, I'll take care of it now, then I'll post my equipment requests for you to rp tomorrow.

[Jay Ladlehaus]: Actually, before Amadea makes his request, was I correct in including gold in the starter packs?

[Lepellier]: Um... yeah, I was just being lazy and giving you a fair amount of gold, but just use your totals, you can however cross that money over from one char for anothers equipment.

[Jay Ladlehaus]: Okay, cool. Now, I'm still a little confused. In your first comment on this page you say I have 625 GP, and then a little later you say 750 GP. Exactly how much do I have in addition to the gold already possessed by my individual chars.

[Lepellier]: You only have as much gold is possesed by your characters, sorry for the confusion. That 625 was how much Blood Raven's army had in total...

[Jay Ladlehaus]: Ooohhhh...I see now.

[Lepellier]: Yeah...

[Lepellier]: Sorry, geez...

[Jay Ladlehaus]: lol, don't worry too much. It took me a day after all to place the order after Arien asked Lord Amadea. I figured I'd give you a friendly nudge with the ever-bored Stonewall.

[Jay Ladlehaus]: Is Lord Amadea assumed to have the purchased equipment in his possession now?

[Jay Ladlehaus]: Okay...I'm going to go ahead and change the appropriate char pages with the equipment and place the remaining gold in the possession of Amadea.
