Velcome to ze Mitterrnacht Bank! Zo, vould ye like to deposet or vithdrraw?
Other Discussions:
The three of them walk to the Bank. Gregory waits just outside the door, and after a minute or so, Angela comes into view, finishing up her cigarrette. When she comes up to Gregory, he embraces her and kisses her on the cheek. "Hallo, ducky. These are my new friends, Ao and Desya. Guys, this is Angela." Angela gives a small wave. "Hey," she says.
That Desya looks cute, she thinks to herself. She notices Gregory giving her that 'I-don't-like-
it-when-you-smoke-around-me' look, and sighs. She takes one final drag and drops the cigarrette to the ground, stamping on it with her boot.
Ao gives a quick wave before rushing up to one of the counters. The counter-woman is about to give her normal "speech" routine but Ao suddenly snatches up a small, brown bowl filled with candy ans sweets and hurries off, thanking the woman. The counter-woman stands shocked, not knowing what to do. "Sho...." Ao begins with a mouth full of candy, "yer 'ame's Ahngelia....um...Ahngeca....Ahmela.........Ahngela! 'at's et! Sho...ye likess to ssmoke?"
Angela eyes her and raises an eyebrow. "Um, yeah..." Gregory pipes in with the question that they're all most likely wondering: "Ao darling, why on earth did you steal the candy bowl? If you wanted it that much, you could've bought it... stealing is really a bad thing to do, you know."
Ao looked at Gregory like he had a dancing chicken on his head. "Well," she started, "the candy at the bank is really good! And others shouldn't be allowed to eat et because of all et's deliciousness. Besides, I won't get introuble for stealing the candy, and I steal all the time anyway..."
((Dancing Chicken! XD)) Gregory raised an eyebrow, but didn't continue the argument. After all, it was just candy... he walked up to one of the booths and withdrew some cash. Then he continued chatting with the cashier, and after a few minutes he turned and said, "Oi! Desya! I think this mate will be willing to hire you!" He beckoned Desya with a wave.
"ah!" Desya perked up imidiately, after watching silently and only breaking his silence to say a barely autible 'helo' to Angela when she was introduced.
now he quickly ran to Gregory, trying not to seem too excited, "how duu i startt?" he quickly turned a light shade of red, realizing that he may have been too hurried or seemed stupid to both Gregory and his potentiel employer.
The counter woman was surprised that this boy that Gregory told her about came over so quickly and so excited. But she cleared her throat to begin.
"Vell," she started, "ve arre notizing a lack of people vorking 'ere, zo I think ye vould be perrfect for ze job! Now, ye is new, zo, vould ye come vith me to ze back of the counterr pleaze?" she asked while swiftly moving into the back office. Ao scurried silently behind the group, wondering if they had even better candy behind the counter.
Desya's eyes danced in excitement, the fact that this woman seemed foreign made him feel more comfortable. he looked at Gregory for a moment, as if to ask if it was alright. . .
Gregory waved him on. "Well, go on! We'll wait here," he said, gesturing towards Angela.
Desya bowed his head slightly to Gregory in thanks, smiling despite himself, and then quickly went to follow the bank lady. ((bank-lady? o_o;))
The woman walked down a highly lit hallway, turning this way and that, in and out of doorways, until she finally came to a small office room. The office smelled of sweet French coffee and (strangely) of fresh apples. The walls were covered in mulitple paints of royal men and woman, while the walls themselves were lined with golden drapery and dark red paint. On the left wall was a large window the the drapes drawn but a simple, thin white cloth layed over it, bringing in just enough light.
The woman soon turned around and sat at her desk (which was covered in giants stacks of paper and mugs of coffee and some asortments of sweets) and smoothly sat in her chair. Two chairs sat in front of her desk. The bank lady was quickly going through her desk, fliping through who-knows-what, till she finally came upon a creme piece of paper and layed it flat on her desk. The woman smiled at Desya and said, "Pleze, come zit down. I hev ze peperrs forr ye zign!" The woman flipped her long, dark red hair and continued to look at Desya. There was only silence as Desya stool in the doorway. Feeling his nervousness, the bank lady looked around and picked up the first thing she found. "Vould ye like zome....Gerrmen chocolate?" she asked, "Et's frrom my mozer (mother)."
Desya cautiously moved to the desk and sat down, "ah. . . no tsanks. . ." he looked at the papers he was expected to sign as if he were reading them, he didn't want to look stupid in front of his new boss, but he also knew better than to sign papers without knowing exsactly was on them. he opted for being an idiot, "ah. . exsusse me, but. . . hwat do. . hwat do dese say. . .??" he looked down at the papers again, his eyebrows nitting in frustration.
