Personality: When alone, indecisive to the point of crippling anxiety; one of Tom’s main issues is the trust in himself. He self-doubts repeatedly, often with second, third and fourth thoughts about what he is going to do. When under pressure he tends to actually settle out however, actually using the intelligence he does have to make snap decisions. He also loves a laugh, usually resorting to humour under pressure, or just in general. He loves making jokes, and finds great pleasure in most forms of comedy. The only exception being when a person is put in an embarrassing situation for humour, Tom is too empathetic to enjoy this. He has mild pyromania as well, however this isn't much of a problem; while he enjoys playing with it and using it under certain circumstances he has never set anything intentionally alight, he just finds the flames hypnotising.

Appearance: Overweight, but not excessively so, with pale skin, short dirty blond hair and grey/blue eyes hidden behind oval glasses. He likes t-shirts with something on them, usually one of the ‘weird fish’ label or sporting some kind of videogame logo, his trousers usually a dull green or grey colour while having many pockets. He is 5’11” and has some actual muscle somewhere under the fat.

Brief History: Born in Wales, Tom had a relatively normal childhood; he did well in his school work, actually getting praise and becoming a cross between a star and a nuisance in the classroom. It all went downhill when he hit secondary school age however, when he was struck down with a case of constant migraine. For three years he mostly slept, and fell well behind in his studies; it looked like he would never be able to go into higher education, until his home tutor arrived almost a year before he had to leave secondary school.
During his spare time he went through quite a few different activities, though he found it hard to stick to them; one thing he found he had was an affinity for a gun. During a clay pigeon shoot by his local karate club (while he was a member he’d hardly count himself as skilled) he found his aim disturbingly accurate for someone who had never shouldered a shotgun before. While not really brought up around guns, Tom has managed to get his hands on shotguns, decommissioned assault rifles, a sniper rifle and a selection of pistols; most the non-deadly kind, but giving him information on how to treat the weapon.
Through cramming and rigorous studying he managed to actually pass secondary school with the grades he needed to go into college. This did mean, however, that he went in without a single friend. He was lucky to find the ones that he did, and stumbled through the experience with a whole range of new experiences in tow; after two years however, it was time to head off into University.
Facing much the same dilemma, he decided to go into the study of English and Creative writing, hoping his enjoyment of the subject would get him through the three years there. He’s just survived one year, met a few people and made an impression in the classroom, he’s just hoping he can continue to do so over the next few years.
