TIR-NA-NOG
And though you should live in a palace of gold
Or sleep in a dried up ditch,
You could never be poor as the fairies are,
And never as rich.
Rose Fyleman - The Fairies Have Never a Penny to Spend
Perhaps the best known among all the realms of the fey, Tir-Na-Nog is the realm of the Queen herself and the center of Seelie culture. Also known as the Emerald Palace, or the Land of Youth, it is where the greatest of all fey festivals are held. To be invited to its festivities is the true proof that one is a fairy noble. It is the place that all houses meet, and where much of the action takes place.
Scholars argue about wether it was buildt at the center of Faërie because of its importance, or if the spot
became the center of Faërie because the palace is there, but nevertheless it holds a position of power over much of its surroundings.
